ugo4u: They believe they own the military because according to some of them, when SSC guys were flexing in uni/poly they where suffering in NDA. This current set of SSC in training are mates with termer 3 NDA guys upon commissioning, na so them take program am... Prolly to compensate regulars for the 5yrs chawusing.... ....the system now changed self, it is now 1st terma because 2nd term is their prep winger now. They will be mate with the current 2nd terma army and mate with 1st terma Naf and nn cadet. That is why I said dssc is more preferable to me |

nora2018: dssc or which do you prefer if u would gladly advise a friend or sibling, I respect your opinion cos you seem to be well grounded with military affairs. it depends on your area of specialization, but it is highly advisable to go for dssc, after all, it is not easy to get to service chief too if you are not RC, so it better one go for Dssc and come at least as colonel. |

And to those saying that an RC captain can control a coluto major, one thing I want you to know is that junior officer can't dish out order to a senior officer in the military regardless the form of commissioning. The RCs got more favoured interm of appointments because their colleague RCs are at the helms of affairs and these RCs are one way or the other connected even pass some current generals. Once you are an officer, no discrimination on how order would be dished out, officer na officer no matter the mode of commissioning. Let me chip in to this, the issue of discrimination usually come up between RCs and SSCs because they both meet at same unit, but in d case of dssc, they have no issue together because about rc can't be in the same unit with DSSC. Thanks and remain blessed and hopeful for the form to be released. |

nora2018: really is that how is done? from what I could gather, they said hopefully, course 25 of dssc and 46 of ssc should be out by the end of this year against next year. But you know that army is unpredictable, the board might decide to do otherwise. But from the look of thing, form should be out this year immediately course 45 pass out from academy. |

Bifrost: I'm not speaking out of experience but based on findings on nairaland and the conclusions I drew from them.
Remember Polaris bank was a buy out of of former Skye bank. Hence I'm guessing their recruitment process would be similar if not the same. So I came across a thread on Skye bank recruitment with just as similar requirements as Polaris.
I went through the thread from the first to the last page and I got a glimpse of the process.
The first stage is the test which we will write as soon as we are shortlisted. The nature of the test is as we've been hearing Quantitative reasoning, Verbal reasoning and Numerical reasoning. Time is of essence, it's a computer based test being moderated by dragnet. So, expect their standard of questions.
After the test, there'll be regret and success mails. Regret mail means you won't be proceeding to the next stage, success mail means you're progressing to the next stage.
So, for now, let's all chill and cross the first 2 hurdles; being shortlisted and taking the test come next Saturday. I hope we all on this thread get shortlisted.
And let's all keep ourselves updated once we start getting invites for the test. Thanks for the useful hint u ve provided... We hope for the best out of it |
