What I learned is Army struggle will not end till you retire.
From application enlistment
From training to POP
From SSC/DSSC to RC/DRC
Battling for promotion from one rank to another
Battling for a better position
Along the line some will die, some will be retired by force, some voluntarily, some due to age, some due to inability to pass promotional exam.

Chai...! Army is for real men!!!
the struggle in life itself will never end until when one breath no more

From the unprecedented low turnout for SSC, the Army will most likely source from DSSC applicant pool for SSC cadets.
then they don't need to conduct exam if so...

Afternoon gentlemen. We just finished documentation and clearance, then collected our passes. To God be the glory, thank you to the veterans who assisted us with tips and answered our questions. I've found your inputs very useful during screening and the training. Special thanks to Ugo4u, God bless you man.

For those with questions, mention me on this thread and I'll do my best to respond to all of them. Please no PM, let it be public so others can benefit too.
congratulations to you officer

Note: It was 115/75 last week.

Navy exam is on 17th, if the two exam are on the same day.. Hmmm
Na low turn out be that o
it is very possible it is same date, waiting concern them, it is a way to reduce the applicants. Even for their secondary school, sometime, the 3 arms of service exam fell same date, I think that should be 2011 common entrance. Meanwhile, it seems navy exam can't hold that date again, I heard that they have postpone the registration closing date to 19th of this month.

I don't think that whatapp group can mute the real contributors to this thread, it's new comers that created the WhatsApp group and it's also new comers that are posting their numbers to be added.
The thread is always very lively when there is a major event like registration, screening, final list & POP etc after which almost everyone will go back to their cocoon except for very very few people, we all know ourselves.
That's by the way, I wonder what's the essence of starting a WhatsApp group that even have limit to the number of people it can take, when there is an already existing forum that is limitless with tonnes of actionable information and intellegence. Most of the people wanting to join a whatapp group don't have the discipline to go through the thread and get information they need, so WhatsApp is an escape route for them. People should do as they please sha, my own be say make person wey get my number no add me to anything.
Had it being it's a WhatsApp group successful candidates heading to screening that one is quite understandable, atleast to muster parade but to come put person for group wey them go come dey ask if officers dey go war, or whether person fit starch khaki go ShopRite, etc I no follow abeg.
lol

Hahaha...ndigbo no wan dye grin.
By the way, what happens if all the candidates from a state fails the screening? Will the army still invite other candidates from that state who didn't make the screening shortlist?
that is the issue, who now tell them that army is a death trap, or been in a civilian guaranty you that you will live long than the military? Now when to appoint service chiefs, some of them will be saying there is marginalization, will they bring Junior officer to head or bring a civilian to head them.

Nothing pays pass HUMILITY in this life! Whether as Bloody Civilian or Military if you are the humble type believe me you will earn you respect without forcing it.

As for those talking about been saluted by MWO or other NCO's. The question is if MWO or any other ranks pass by you and didn't salute you, will you die? Or will that reduce your salary or reduce your rank? Sometimes we just need to overlook some things and do as if we didn't see it. If any other rank pass by you and didn't salute you, you don't need to capitalize on that because you will definitely see another other ranks that will salute you. If you are the type that can't overlook some minor things like this salute of a thing from just one person, before you know it you may put yourself in an everlasting troubling.

For instance the Martial court cases shared here, if that 2nd Lt. Had overlooked the lance crpl who didn't salute him or who didn't wear his beret well as he claimed, if he had overlooked and pretend he didn't see the lance crpl would he had landed himself in Court Martial? Would the guy had roped him that he slapped him if he had just overlooked.?

Sometimes we just need to overlook and pretend we didnt see somethings in order to avoid problems for ourselves. Somethings are like trap for us,,if we managed to overlook we would overcome that trap. If one soldier no salute another go salute. There is Beefing in Military just as it is in other normal places. So don't put yourself in trouble at your early stage you are trying to enjoy your life.

When you are the humble type, you will always get your respect back. When you have Humility you will go far and enjoy life more without problems.

This is a food for thought for you All
truth be told, you can't over look such oh, just do it maturely...

I have never said I will overdo or treat them badly.. my own fight was that MWO won’t compliment me and he’d be right not to do so.. that’s all I’m agitating for man.. besides dem no born me well to not respect them.. because obviously.. they have a ton of knowledge
if he doesn't salute you, baba less you can do to him but him go salute you sha, they are well cultured and discipline...

I was told now.... Why is it dat... cOAS honour a deserving master a captain.... From master warrant officer to captain direct....why not honour him with lieutenant? #speechless
this is because if you retired as 2lt or Lt, you will still be referred to as Mr. Soso but if it is captain upward, you are a Capt soso (Rtd) same applicable to MWO or WO, you will be referred to as MWO soso (Rtd) or WO soso (Rtd)

that case was btw a Lcpl and a 2Lt o.... I know he deserves his salute, compliment and respect but if you go try MWO, Dem go rope you with proof, respect them ,they respect you, avoid them and don't over do, don't be feeling big when you are still on probation as a 2Lt o... Didn't you hear of the dismissed 2Lt who addressed RSM OF ACADEMY anyhow the day of his commissioning. He hadn't done paper work o. Dem charge am as cadet for insurbonation . This thing is simple... Grow first before you start perform wonders . But for now watch and pray
what is the issue with salute sef, something that you must return too, so indirectly, you are saluting him too
