robosky02: Oil-rich Rivers State government has agreed to stage a 2018 World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s super Eagles and Algeria in Port Harcourt in November, officials have disclosed.
The game is slated for the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on November 7 after earlier reports suggested the game will be played in Uyo, which hosted a recent AFCON qualifier against Tanzania.

It will be the second 2018 World Cup qualifier involving both countries as Nigeria will face Zambia in Ndola on October 9, 2016 while Algeria and Cameroun go toe to toe the same day in Blida.
Rivers State Commissioner of sport Boma Iyaye said Port Harcourt is ready to play the perfect host ahead of the big fixture.
“Rivers State is ready to play the perfect host to the Super Eagles and the international community ahead of this important game,” he said.
“The Super Eagles and Olympic football team have played competitive and friendly matches here in Port Harcourt in the past so this is not novelty in any way.
“It is the utmost desire of the Rivers State Government to support the Super Eagles to ensure qualification for the 2018 Fifa World Cup finals in

DrinkWater10: Exactly bro. Rangers all the way. Ikhana should also be reappointed as our manager next season. @Ponponkon your boss has failed the People's Elephants. He still hasn't completed the regrassing of our stadium up till now. Something the 'thief' Theodore Orji never failed to do.Every season during his tenure. So on that ground alone it is safe to say Okezie has set a new record for himself . The Governor alongside Felix Anyasi Agwu should share the blame for our woes this season. #BringBackKadiriIkhana I humbly await your response. you are not serious!! you mean up till now they haven't finished re grassing enyimbas stadium wow!! I hope wen they are done it would be really excellent u need.to see de pitch enyimba played caf champions league on it would be rite to call it a swimming pool |

MrJah: I sight you Bro. One thing some of these waste side Morons don't know is that Niger delta comprises 9 states. All the SS, two SE n one SW states which make up the Niger Delta. When ever they want to talk about someone from SS, they refer to the person as a Niger Deltan BT if someone from Imo or Abia talks, they say Igbo. The Fools neva fail to amaze me. People from ilori in Kwara state(North Central) are yorubas n the Afonjas are aware of that BT when you tell them that, PH, ikwere, okirikika, Onelga all in Rivers and Agbor, Asaba, Kwale n many more in Delta are all igbos n they speak n bear Igbo names, the Afonjas will immediately develop HBP and tell you that Igbos are forcing themselves on the Niger Delta people. I have a yoruba friend from Lagos n another one from Kogi. They claim brothers BT will tell an Agbor Man who's also my friend that Agbor is not Igbo even though the guy bears n speaks igbo fluently. The guy recently served them a serious note of warning shaaa. Yoruba's are very funny and cunning people but bro I can't speak abt the remaining Niger delta igboid groups but for sure ikwerre does not want to be referred to as Igbo's and dragging the matter only makes Igbo's look foolish I tink the ikwerres should just stop using Igbo names and stop speaking Igbo language in oda to stop the confusion u need to see the amount of hate the sprew out in their Facebook page |

LeSudAfricaine: I wanna be a Nigerian? Ha ha ha! I see you got jokes bro. I like Nairaland period! I happen to think it's a nice forum, absolutely nothing to do with wanting to be Nigerian. It is exactly this kind of self worship and empty chest beating that puts many people off with Nigerians. Of course you aren't on our forums talking crap, you are physicallly in our country doing crap! You can tell the " we aren't better than you" to youur neighbours. The Chadians , Nigeriens, simply won't with South Africans but why na if u check ur posts uld notice DAT u ar either throwing jabs at Nigeria or supporting someone doing so if u truly like dis forum as u claim den at lists some times u gat to visit oda sections eg romance and jokes every body is here to catch fun and romance section is the liveliest section on the forum |

MrJah: I swear, you really need to check ur health. How much does the south Eastern state collect from Federal allocation? How many of the state in ur region can compete with the south eastern states in terms of development? Come to think of it, Enugu is rated above River State and Akwa Ibom in terms of development,,,infrastructure and many more despite the fact that these two states receive more than five times what Enugu receives from the federal Govt. Go to Anambra, without federal allocation, it can survive and there is no meaningful federal Govt establishments in that state except Unizik.. imo is far better and more developed than all the states in the south west except Lagos. Abia has the lowest poverty rate per head compared to all the south Western states including ur Lagos. Do I also need remind you that Ebonyi which is the poorest in the Eastern region is far better than Osun, Ekiti, Ogun States? Lastly, next time use south south instead of Niger Delta cos Imo n Abia are also part on Niger Delta. But, it's high time you useless Yoruba guys shld get urslves a life. Idiot all you have said is quiet true but bro I don't just like abia state the governors need to wake up the roads are bad I passed try Enugu on my way I looks really nice truth be said its quiet informative I didn't know it was ranked above rivers state |

MPSA: I will learn more about nigerian languages when the time goes on, I only saw two languages on google translation ( yoruba and igbo), the rest I will learn here on nairaland. I can't comment more about this two countries, because I only know more about my country south africa, what I know about nigeria from the media is high population, poor infrastructural maintenance, oil, number one in africa, lastly the Giant thing, that is all I know from the media. On Kenya; Masai tribe, wild life, Nairobi small but beautiful and clean, compare to big lagos but unattractive because of poor maintenance, that is all I see from nairaland and other media. the media over there is very wicked ooo no good tin abt Nigeria + they tink Lagos = the whole of Nigeria |
