A young Dutch man posted an Instagram image of his plane tickets and wrote about his excitement in heading overseas before boarding doomed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.
Instagram user Regis Crolla a picture of his ticket with the phrase "I'm so excited" before boarding the Boeing 777....
He also wrote the words "AMS -> Kuala Lumpur -> Bali". The tickets visible in a photo showed he would travel from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur and then on to Denpasar on MH17.
At the time of writing almost 8000 people had left comments of support on the young man's profile.
"Godspeed. Rest in peace," one says.
"One day you and your parents, friends and family back together but then forever," reads another.
The full passenger list has yet to be published but initial reports suggest 154 Dutch, 23 Malaysians, 11 Indonesians, 6 Britons, and 4 Germans were on board the flight, as well as 27 Australians.

Facebook just introduced a new feature that businesses will like. They announced on Thursday that it is testing a Buy button to help businesses drive sales through the News Feed and on their Facebook Pages.
"With this feature, people on desktop or mobile can click the 'Buy' call-to-action button on ads and Page posts to purchase a product directly from a business, without leaving Facebook," the company said in a statement on its website.
The social network had announced earlier this year that it planned to introduce more call to action options for marketers, including a Shop Now button.
Twitter is also said to be experimenting with a Buy Now button to boost the e-commerce potential from the social network.

Facebook rolled out a new iOS app on Thursday for celebrities and public figures, making it easier for them to interact with fans.
The app, Facebook Mentions, lets users see what fans are saying in a dedicated mentions feed — similar to Twitter's @-mentions section — and start mobile Q&As.
Shout outs from other celebrities and media will populate at the top of their notifications page, and they'll also be able to see which topics are trending so they can chime in on them if they want.

Facebook is trying to make the app as elite as the people who will use it. Mentions only works for Facebook users with verified accounts in the United States, although admins of those pages can request access, too.

Facebook has a team of staffers who will look at those requests — public figures will have to upload their ID and additional information to an online form — and grant access accordingly.

The app is only available for public figures with verified Pages, so verified users without a dedicated page won't be able to access the app. For now, brands and media aren't able to use Facebook Mentions, but the company told Mashable this is something they plan to roll out in the future, as well as bringing the app to other countries.
Facebook also released some numbers around its public figures accounts, stating nearly 800 million people are connected to those with verified pages. There are also more than a billion interactions between public figures and their fans on Facebook every week.
Several major celebrities and public figures have already been quietly using the app, including Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Josh Duhamel, Ed Sheeran, Austin Mahone, Tyrese Gibson, Rachel Zoe, Arianna Huffington, Bill Nye and Nick Kristof.

Facebook says those public figures now produce twice as much content each day as they did before using the Mentions app.

crestime: @OP, i will say to you, Very correct statement but Very very wrong strategy. You can more than possibly become a multi millionaire(in dollars) within a year only when you know and apply the right things in blogging.
DEAL BREAKER: YOU CAN ONLY MAKE DIRTY MONEY BLOGGING WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SELL. Otherwise, we have what we call World Wide Waste of time.
If you want to become really comfortable and make it big in blogging within a year, you have to:

1. Choose a profitable niche(i.e. A niche that has many serious businesses that can advertise with you / a niche that has many willing buyers and products to sell - I like niches like freight/exports/imports)

2. Sell > Advertise - selling on your blog is more profitable than advertising. You have to Start selling from day 1. If possible, make all your posts like a sales copy(i.e. Try to sell to the reader at the end of each post) or put related product banners around your posts. Advertising can come later. That is biscuit money.

3. Know your key audience - if you are a pro and want to sell physical products, seminars, consultations or contact services and get your cash in your bank account in Nigeria, then you need to be disciplined enough to know that you must target only Nigerians. But if you are just starting out and you don't need much stress about receiving payments and making clarifications, you may want to sell affiliate products to your readers. For this, I recommend you don't target Nigerians at all. Instead, target the US and use amazon associate programme. I think they are smooth.

4. Get a good keyword domain name - get a domain name that describes your blog(e.g, if you write about tracking shipments, your domain name could be something like easyshipmenttracker dot com). This will help your seo and your blog will likely show up when people google how to track their shipments easily.

5. You can make money from the first day - stop scaring people away by saying that they need more years to make money from their blogs. If your blog does not pay you in the first 3 months then, you are among the clueless majority. It means that you lack monetization ideas. If you can really have a solid strategy, be interesting with your posts, and engage with your readers, they will buy from you from the very first day if they want to.
6. You don't need high traffic - it is sad how people put all their interests on traffic numbers but yet make next to nothing out of it, even if they get the traffic. As far as I'm concerned, I don't need a lindaikeji-esque blog. I need a blog in a niche where I can sell. Simple. I don't need traffic. I don't need a million visitors. I don't even need a thousand page views. I will be very satisfied if I can just get only 100 interested and willing buyers everyday. If I can sell to them and make them very satisfied, they'll tell others about me. That's free marketing + trusted customers. Is this not business?.......

Bros you are so right. A good content is important. But lots of traffic is also important. Imagine if u had over 50k viewers a day. Ur 100 interested customer would be over 500 hundred and that's over 500% sales.
