Well as for the total payment including bank charge for accom, mine was N30100 (N100 bank charge) GTBank. But there was an issue at the bank yesterday: the 30k was displaying school fees on their system instead of accom fee so i had to call a link at the Admissions office and he told me i can't pay the accom fee at the bank. He then directed me to a woman at Kuti Warden Office around 4pm where i later payed and that was what brought me to UI yesterday.
But it hasn't reflected on my portal as at this moment. They have server issue for now and i was assured it'll still reflect.
Let's just wait and see...

Hmm! I pray o. When it comes to UI matter now, I'll just put my hand beneath my jaw. But seriously there's a lot of work to be done especially in the HOR(virtually all are antiquated including the ones they call best), Teddar hasn't been roofed yet amongst others but i believe all of this can happen in a week.
The only improvement for now is that all A1 rooms per block in some HOR has been converted to kitchenette to limit regular fire outbreaks in rooms as a result of cooking-sleeping and all faulty toilets has been rectified.

Calm down bro. So far your transaction was successful, the rest now lies with UI. I also payed my fees today and this same issue was what took me there cos i don't joke with money.
They have server issues for now but i was assured it'll reflect on my portal very soon.

The accommodation fee increment is totally irreversible and was never an issue of discourse even in the senate meeting. These emergency meetings springing up is mainly for the outrageous increase in the clinical training fee.

It seems you didn't get my point bro. I knew the emergency meeting was focused on the increment in clinical fees. What i was trying to depict from the post is that i just asked the Admission Officer if the accom fee can still be reviewed during the ongoing senate meeting while i was there cos it just skyrocketed from 14k to 30k which is although out of context .And he said hadn't been all new intakes refused to pay, it may have been reviewed and if eventually they table the matter, the balances for those who has paid won't be refunded. THIS WAS WHAT THE ADMISSION OFFICER SAID, NOT ME.
But from the VC's post, one can logically notice there's been an issue on that but so far 410 students have paid their accom fee within 24hrs the payment portal was launched, there nothing the Senate has to deliberate on again.

I knew it. That was exactly what an admissions officer told me this evening when I asked him if there's gonna be a possible reduction in the accom fee. He said "if not for those who has hastily payed their accom fee, the Senate would have reduced it". But I can't blame them, it simply because they are tired of staying at home.

I just left UI about an hour ago. The Senate actually had a meeting which resulted in a week extension of resumption. The HOR are critically ill and they are set for fumigation and renovation cos some are den of bed bugs right now.

But on the issue of reduction in tuition fees, i only have little info for now which is if the Senate concludes on reducing the fees, those who have payed their fees already won't be refunded but their balance will be on their respective portal.

Flashback Trust the vice chancellor university of Ibadan at your own peril. The date will always be feasible until the y are they can no longer catch up.. The only painful thing here is some of us are already in Ibadan. In fact, I know someone who already booked flight to Ibadan because she's coming from a far distance.

As in very painful. It was this clearance palava that made me left Lagos on Monday so i can come lodge a complaint at UI but surprisingly, i was cleared when i was halfway. UI ehn! I'm just speechless.

Actually i forgot to enquire about that until i got home last night but i later called my Prof last night about this rumor. All he just told me was "whether the resumption is extended or not, you're admitted already and should proceed to pay your fees and finally still prepare against Sunday.".
So we may likely resume on Sunday and if not, it'll be communicated to us officially latest tomorrow.

ANECDOTE OF MY VISIT TO UI
Good morning fam.
I went to UI yesterday and the first place I visited was Prof Wole Soyinka's former house @Ebrohime Close where my family friend who's a Prof in UI now resides.
From there, I proceeded to JAJA CLINIC for my Chest X-Ray which was successful.
And from there, I proceeded to KUTI HALL: THE HALL OF GREAT MEN which was just behind JAJA to make some enquires about the hall and I was astonished by the responses I got from the two lecturers I was privileged to meet. One of them asked me and I quote verbatim "You runzed it abi?" or "your father is an academic prospect or a senator?" and I replied NO. Then, he went on to say "you're very lucky cos Kuti is a special hall that's always reserved cos that's the hall of senators and high ranking people's son and it's one of the best hall in UI if not the best although there are other nice HOR like TEDDAR WHICH WAS PROF WOLE SOYINKA'S HOR during his days" Some Kutites should be proud by now lol and i guess Nltaliban should be a bit elated with the capslocked lol.
Then, I proceeded to the Admissions Office to make enquires on the clearance issue on behalf of MrHistorian (who's very close to UI and doesn't want to abuse it lol), Ajet001 ( the custodian of this thread), Pes13, Sirghalad, Diamondsville and others who hasn't been cleared yet. One of the admissions officer said to me "Tell your friends to be patient. I also have some candidates with same issue. It's just that this year's admission is one kind one kind from on set but they should all be cleared by Friday (that's today) provided their uploaded docs are legit, clean and clear."

When I called the phn. no on my Jaja portal, the woman said we shouldn't wait until we're scheduled for invitation.
All you have to do is to proceed to the centre assigned to you (e.g ULTRARAD DIAGNOSTICS) if you are in Ib. But for those in Lag and other states, they can do theirs when they resume.
The Chest X-ray costs N1800.

I don't think there's anything wrong in student curious about their prospective HOR. They need to familiarize themselves with the state of their allocated HOR to enhance adequate preparation before resumption(that's one of the objectives of this thread). If a football player doesn't train before the match day, he may perform woefully on the match day. Just imagine a Mellanbite who will not come along with his mosquito nets thinking all is well(apologies for accentuating Mellanby state)

Please, let every member of this great fam be given freedom to express themselves and be enlightened where their light is dim no matter how dumb their questions may be cos not everyone here is a resident of Ibadan. There are many ghost followers on this thread apprehensive about expressing themselves.

There's no uni in Nigeria that there are no cultist. It's only rare in UI because of the penalty attached to it which is rustication. But Kuti is not really bad as I painted in my previous post it's just that there are many spoilt brats there.

The hall is not that bad, it's just that you can easily be influenced if you're not careful cos the majority of guys there are baddos.
