Finally, the suspense is over.

This CondomSir is a good observer; he said and I quote "UI always update on Wednesday" and they did. Keep it up bro

But UI still mixed up the Faculty with the Course. May God deliver the ICT Dept. IJN

Well, since it was stated in their scrupulous post that the payment portal will be opened tomorrow, let's just wait till tomorrow and see.

But let the truth be told, UI is kind of disorganized now cos the admission list should've been posted on the admissions portal before releasing that dumbfounded post on their main portal.

Bosses in the house please i want you to explain the meaning of diploma for me and i wished to apply for UI diploma this month.

Please i really need ur urgent response

I guess you're referring to pre-degree but anyways, earning a Diploma is achieved by attending a study program offered by a technical or community college (basically Polytechnics). An advanced diploma program typically takes one to two years to complete for most students.

But in the case of pre-degree, Pre-degree programme is designed to be an intensive coaching curriculum aimed at preparing senior high school graduates (senior secondary) for university education but UI doesn't run any pre-degree programme

UI is the only Nigerian University among the Top 1000 Universities in the world by Time Higher Education International Ranking.

According to the 2018 Webometric Top 5000 Universities in the world, UI's position is 1099 which is number one in Nigeria followed by Covenant University which came second with 2140.

I can sense you know the truth and you're just trying to cause a stir here.

I taught as much
....so is his waec result good enough

To be honest with you, it's kind of complicated cos judging from his result, I can see he's a pure commercial student. He's neither a science nor an art student. So, if he's to go through social sciences, he's gonna need Geography, Economics, Government cos these are the three recognized social science subjects in UI and some other institutions.

So I think he has a very slim chance of getting admitted for the course if he risks it. (This guy issue is similar to that of Chioma's friend who had a high aggregate score of 68 but wrong subject combo for a course that is just 56.13) . This wrong subject combo palava denied a lot of brilliant students admission this year or even every year.

In conclusion, if that's the guy dream course, it will be better he resit for another WAEC or NECO exam and target one sitting so he can just make use of Eng, Maths, Econs, Govt and Geo or better still opt for another course his result is assuredly qualifed of getting him to avoid an effort in futility. But the choice is his...

are u serious? I DNT tink datz true

I actually got that from a site but was surprised as well since it's not mbbs.

Just got this from the school's website so it's authentic:
UTME= English Language and any three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences and/or Science

O' LEVEL= 5 ‘O’ Level Credits at ONE sitting or 6 ‘O’ Level Credits at TWO sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science.

Candidates that wish to take Botany and Zoology as teaching subjects must take Biology.

@midehill, UI only accept one sitting for educational management. So, the two sittings here is the only coma. But the requirements may be revised this year.

In addition to @Bobola's O'Level Requirement post, here's the UTME requirement; UI - requires English Language, the subject area of specialization and one each from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences

eng
economics
lit-in-eng
govt

This subject combination is absolutely wrong. Psychology is a social science based course in UI so Lit-In-Eng is out of context here cos it's an Art subject. And besides, Biology is mandatory.
Please, kindly advise him to register for this year's JAMB before it closes incase his hope is still alive due to his high score. He should as well be extra-careful in his choice of subject combo.

@Bobola07, the coc GentleGrace did on UI's portal will reflect on her CAPS portal (100%) but not on JAMB'S MAIN PORTAL which was enciphered. And that was why she was advised to apply for their coc so it can reflect on their MAIN PORTAL.

Please what does this mean and how do I go about it? Is it because I did coc?

You Must Apply for Change of Course/Institution before Printing your Admission

Thanks in advance. Answer needed urgently tho.

Just like @TheHistorian rightly said, your COC on UI's portal won't reflect on your JAMB's portal and not CAPS.

But you can't effect the COC yourself on JAMB's portal except you go to any CBT Centre and you have to budget nothing less than 3500(2500 for JAMB + 1k if not higher for service charge)

Then, you can proceed to print your Admission Letter.

pls urgent response is highly needed... pls can someone who has been admitted and accepted admission on caps be going to school to receive lecture... or can such a person even resign from where he works... thanks

Just like Nltaliban earlier said, resignation from your current place of work solely depends on your choice. But, the 2017/2018 session resumes March 25th hopefully. So you still have the whole of February to work pertaining to your choice.

She must have been admitted by now.

But here are some screenshots of the conversation we had this morning. He's a 300Level Computer Science student
