Away from Soccer for a bit... Our Nigerian Basketball Queens, the Undisputed Champs of the African Continent just made history by winning her first WC BBall game in 7 WC attempts. Earlier today, Senegal also achieved their first ever WC BBALL win over latvia. Theirs was close... 70-69 but ours was 74-68.

Sarah Ogoke #7 was on fire... She was serving them 3 pointers like hot soup... Lol She finished with 22 pts

Evelyn Akhator was also on song with about 13 pts.

These girls beat a team that is World No.7 in World Women's Basketball... That is some statement. wink

Congrats to the D'Tigress, Queens of the Continent... #FIBAWWC

Well done Girls... Next up is Argentina who lost to Australia earlier.
I'm so happy for the girls. The commentator for the last match said.. He believes that winless run was going to come to an end.
Australian had a rock of Gibraltar, if not they will not have won easily like that

Asked about Wilfred Ndidi's new contract, Leicester boss Claude Puel said: "We forget that he is just 21, it’s crazy, he is like an experienced player.
"It’s great to have this sort of player in the team – he gives attitude, spirit and strength.”

Southampton Football Cub has handed two-year scholarships to fifteen players as part of its latest intake to the Under-18s squad.
A proportion of the players have come through the youth ranks at the club, but, significantly, have been joined by many young talents from other clubs who have opted to further their fledgling careers with Saints.
The group were welcomed earlier this month by Academy Manager Matt Hale, who commented on the excitement surrounding the club's newest intake: "It's an exciting time, the first-year scholars have started full-time at the club last week.
"We've bought some boys through the levels from the age of 8, who've been rewarded for their hard work with a scholarship, but we've also recruited a few players from outside of the club who we've monitored for some time.
"We are certainly excited by what we've seen in these young players, it's a good group with plenty of competition for places.
"It's been good to see them all back, in the professional phase now. They've been running hard and they've seen a football as well, so everyone's pleased!"
The first-year scholars:
Jack Bycroft
James Morris
Michael Saunders
Ryan Cluett
Ethan Burnett
Callum Watts
Lucas Defise
Roland Idowu (joins from St Joseph's Boys AFC)
David Osaretin Agbontohoma (joins from Arsenal)
Allan Tchaptchet (joins from French club, Sannois Saint-Gratien)
Pascal Kpohomouh (joins from Man City)
Benni Smales-Braithwaite (joins from Man City)
Seamas Keogh (joins from Irish club, Sligo Rovers)
Rio Glean (joins from Tottenham Hotspur)
Caleb Watts (joins from QPR)

CheedyJ:
When I was younger, nothing frightened me than d thought of dying because I loved life a lot & looked 4ward to what my future held but right now,I just wish death wud come & take me away..At least, no one wud miss me & if it(death) doesn't come Naturally in few days or weeks from now then I'd induce it..life no longer holds meaning to me..

Judge me ,castigate & insult me if u like,I expect nothing less..
Please take off your mind off those thoughts. I don't know what you are passing through presently, knw that tough times don't last.. whatever smokescreen clouding your judgement now, know it's just temporal.. they will be gone soon. Don't give up life, and speak positive things to your self.. it helps.. U won't give up.
