Well this is the thing. You already know 90% of what is going to happen. People are going to encounter the alien facehugger, they will get implanted, alien will burst out of chest and kill everyone until the final Ripley is left.

I enjoyed it too, especially Andy and his turn after upgrading. The ending with the alien human - not so much. It felt like a rehash of alien ressuretions ending.

Its Sci-fi horror. The Alien franchise has always had horror elements.

That's why we tell you scaredy people, the horror genre is the most versatile genre there is.
Same way you enjoyed Beetlejuice without being too scared. There's also psychological horror with less spooky themes or tropes.

Just like CBMs it can be anything you want it to be.

Band of Brothers........9.9/10

Now this is an epic masterpiece. A comprehensive look into WWII Europe.
It follows the US Army's 101st Airborne Division. Closely tells the story of Easy Company's paratroopers' experience in the European theatre during 1942-45.

It's a gritty action piece of WWII and what soldiers of both opposing sides faced during the war. Focuses on a group of US paratroopers, their struggles, fears, victory, losses and most importantly their personality.

I was mostly unfazed by the gore, blood, tears, deaths and grief for almost the entire show— because I'm already used to the subgenre; but that episode 9 was something else. The sight of unsightly, diseased and heavily malnourished looking Prisoners of War, mostly Jews and Poles in the Nazi concentration camps was disheartening. Almost let out a tear or two. War is brutal. You begin to forget the reason the war started in the first place and just get swallowed by the horrors of war and what it does to psyche of people and its brutal consequences.

War isn't really about the bravest or weakest. Its about who can survive far longer. The show showed countless times how people lost their resolve, lost their will, got broken by the horrors of war and what it makes you do. Atrocities done by all and every group to survive and keep their sanity.
It can be a heart wrenching watch for some. As its brutal, gritty and never lets out in its take of the war.

Cinematography was top tier. Writing and Acting was top notch. Damian Lewis is an OG for a long time. This dude has been delivering top tier performances since 2001. Top tier ensemble cast with some cast going on to be A-list and top actors later on ie Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy. James McAvoy.

It's a story of Brotherhood and survival. It pulls no punches. The Battle of Bastogne remains a key highlight in the war. Anyone who survived that battle already has life changing psyche.

Easily one of the best piece of storytelling HBO has ever made. Perfect production quality, on par with a big budget theatrical movie. HBO spent serious money doing this.
