While Denzel deserves several Oscars for his work, you have to remember that the academy often rewards people for degrading themselves or doing bizarre things rather than good performances. Leto got an Oscar for playing a mentally ill person. Malek likely did a good job playing Freddie Mercury (haven't seen it), but he wasn't really acting. Freddie had similar nerdy qualities, and I suspect Rami is gay. Denzel is actually a real actor, even though arguably he often plays himself. Leto and Malek aren't on his level and likely will never be.
