WWE Smackdown reviews recaps and reactions This is the best damn storyline in WWE today. Roman Reigns is doing incredibly well in this head of the family role. The backstage VIP lounge they have him in is so mafia boss and everything great about mob movies. Reigns came out to discuss the consequences Jey will face and Jey appeared in Reigns’ lounge, but it turned out to be Jimmy! Jey attacked Roman when he turned around and they traded kicks, with Jey getting the better of him. Jimmy came out to celebrate with his brother, but Roman grabbed the mic and said Jimmy, Jey, their wives, and their children will be excommunicated from the family. The Hell in a Cell lowered, and Jey walked down and climbed up the cell. What a visual that was. Jey up a whole person’s length above Roman as Roman looked up at him. This is such a phenomenal feud and while I’ve complained about feuds being too long and drawn out, I… I don’t know I don’t want this one to end! It’s shockingly great for WWE’s standards. What makes it even more incredible, is that this is the dude that Vince McMahon tried for years to force us all to see as his company’s top star. And now, he is. He is! It’s amazing. All Vince had to do was play to Roman’s strengths. Here we are six years after the break-up of the Shield and Roman is finally who he always should have been. I cannot wait for this match. Contract is signed Bayley said she can’t seem to get away from Sasha Banks no matter what she does. She said the last thing she wants to do is give Sasha what she wants, and that’s why she isn’t signing the contract. She did what she did because she wants to be done with Sasha, but it seems she’s an even bigger pain in the ass than she was before. Sasha Banks came out holding the contract. She got in the ring and confronted Bayley. Bayley tried to attack her with the chair she keeps sitting in but Sasha ducked under it and grabbed the title. She gave Bayley a nasty knee to the face and then she got Bayley mangled in the chair and forced her to sign the contract. That was a really cool visual, too. I thought this was a perfect WrestleMania match, but thinking over it again, Hell in a Cell is a great match to somewhat finish the feud. To be honest, I’m not thrilled that they kept them on the same brand because Hell in a Cell should be the decisive finish. Most likely, now it won’t. They’ll have a rematch or two. Or three. Or… four. Seth Rollins def. Murphy - Match of the night right here. Murphy played the babyface in peril so well with a shoulder injury spot and Rollins took advantage of it. I absolutely loved the finish, where Murphy used the fact that he’s gotten to know Rollins over the past year. He knew when Rollins was about to do the Blackout twice and almost got a win, but Rollins one upped his former Disciple. Aalyah was backstage watching the match, and Rey and Dom came up to her and told her to stop watching. She came out to defend Murphy after the match as Rollins grabbed a kendo stick, and she got in the ring to get Rollins away from him. Dom came in and then Rollins blindsided him. Soooooo that isn’t done yet. I really enjoyed this whole thing, though. I hope that we finish the Rollins/Mysterios stuff soon. Lars Sullivan def. Chad Gable - I initially was worried about this, but they actually let Gable be smart! He raked Lars’ eyes and got the Freak (don’t do a drinking game with this nickname) off his game for a moment. After the match, Chad Gable, known as Shorty G, quit. In the back, Adam Pearce asked him if he really is quitting, and G said “Yes. As Shorty G.” YAY! The Chad Gable is back. This was legitimately one of the best moments of the show. I hated this Shorty G shit, and never called him that as long as I’ve been covering WWE. Let the Olympic wrestler loose! Street Profits, KO, and Bryan def. The Artists, Roode, and Ziggler - The KO Show before the match was all about showing off the ”new blood” in SmackDown’s tag team division, while giving us what could be the start of a new team. Yeah, a new team, from the company that loves splitting them up. The match itself was really good, with each person getting their moment to shine. They played a potential injury angle on Bryan’s knee and had an odd commercial break where the referee was at the count of 5 when Cesaro layed Bryan out on the floor and got back in the ring. He... clearly wouldn’t have made it back in the ring and the match would have been over. Tez and Dawkins were great in this match, with Tez getting incredible air as usual for a winning frog splash. Dawkins is a great hot tag, too. After the match, Bryan was hyped backstage and told Street Profits to fist him. That’s not PG! I would absolutely love to see KO and Daniel Bryan team up. They have really good chemistry and I love seeing this Bryan around. He brings a smile to my face every time I see him. Bianca Belair def. Zelina Vega - This was a quick match but had the very best of Bianca on show. I love her so much. She is the very definition of charisma. Zelina slapped her and that was a very bad idea. Law & Otis - I went into this thinking it was going to be more serious and how stupid am I? Look, this week had a musical number on another wrestling show, so I can’t knock it too much. For the record, I liked the musical number more than this, but this had fun moments. Asuka’s Japanese testimony was a highlight and I enjoyed the sound effects, particularly the ca-ching sound signifying Miz bribed Judge JBL. Let’s remember though, that WWE just did a draft, and now a Raw and SmackDown wrestler will be wrestling each other on Sunday. I suggested previously that doing the draft between pay-per-views was silly, as feuds could have wrapped up at Hell in a Cell without having to do stuff like this. What’s the point of the damn draft then? SmackDown delivered a really good show for Hell in a Cell. I’m way more excited to see SmackDown matches. Raw is just not compelling. Orton and McIntyre is interesting, but the third match already in the series. The blue brand is the A show. Don't forget that we are not letting up, #ItIsNotFinished #EndSARS |
Herbiedeen:Kubo and Brahim would have served us better than Rodrygo on that right wing... |
I'm sorry I can't post any recaps or reviews this morning, my heart has been heavy since yesterday on the tragic happenings in the country... I pray all those that lost someone/people find a way to get past it and move on
|
Kaycee7:tbh I no dey feel am, na why I no dey watch her stuff that much to know |

WWE Raw Reviews recaps and reactions This show sucked. Sucked. This show is what happens when you don’t plan shit out. RETRIBUTION was murked. What the hell? No damn plan at all. This group started out as everything Fox News wants you to believe Antifa is, then booked them on some shows in segments that didn’t cause the chaos that they supposedly craved, random segments here and there with Hurt Business and Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Then they had to quarantine due to another WWE COVID-19 outbreak. Then Mustafa Ali was revealed as their leader! Finally RETRIBUTION was going somewhere! And then the next week they weren’t on the show. Tonight, they lost their first real match via tapout to Lashley. Then the Fiend took all of them out. All four men. By himself. This is what happens when you don’t plan shit out. So later on, Mustafa Ali revealed himself as the SmackDown hacker. Probably the only thing that was planned, but decided to drop for whatever reason. They drafted Ali to Raw when they had an angle going on, already on television that people liked, and just moved the main dude over to the other brand! There’s no “wait and see”. There’s no “give it a chance”. This sucks. They killed this act when it was just getting some traction. You suck, WWE. We’re out of time! McIntyre called Orton intelligent for taking out the men he was celebrating with after Clash of Champions. He knew that he accepted Orton’s challenge at Hell in a Cell out of anger. Even though he doesn’t have experience in the cell, the life experiences he’s had makes up for it. Orton in the main event, sat in a chair in the middle of the cell and said he’s never left a piece of himself behind every time he’s walked out after a match. He listed off his matches and the opponents he faced. Orton was about to say that Drew facing Brock at WrestleMania was legendary, and then Drew interrupted him and walked to the door of the cell. Orton told him he’ll have to wait until Sunday to get to him since the door was bolted shut. But Drew found bolt cutters pretty quickly off to the side of the ThunderDome. … And then the show ended. What the hell? I’ve enjoyed pretty much all of Drew and Randy’s interactions, but this was by far the worst one. And it’s the go home show for the pay-per-view. If this was supposed to keep me on the edge of my seat for Sunday, it didn’t do its job. In fact, most of what we’re in store for on Sunday that involves Raw isn’t exciting for me whatsoever. AJ Styles def. Matt Riddle - AJ Styles has a bodyguard now, and it’s the extremely tall dude who guarded the Raw Underground door. He’s very big. Very intimidating. So much so that the referee couldn’t even do his job for the first minute. I actually really liked the ref pleading with him to get out of the ring. Riddle was very intimidated, too. The behemoth blocked him from getting to Styles at one point, and then balled up his fist and scared Riddle back into the ring. And right into a Styles Clash for the win. I’m intrigued by this new pairing of Jordan and AJ. If McIntyre retains on Sunday, I would really like to see the interactions between he and Jordan if AJ is next for the WWE title. Kofi Kingston def. Sheamus - Kofi had some decent offense before the commercial break, but then Sheamus dominated. The most awesome part was seeing Big E in the ThunderDome crowd and it gave Kofi the power of positivity for a few moments to gain momentum. Also loved Xavier telling Samoa Joe that Kofi had a lot left after he heard him question Kofi’s ability on commentary. New Day just puts a smile on my face, y’all. I really needed it. Alexa is in the Firefly Fun House - Bray’s surprise for all his fans was Alexa knocking on the door at the end, telling us we’re in for more fun. I’ve been waiting for her to show up in my once favorite children’s show. SpongeBob ain’t got nothing on the Fun House. Excited for what’s to come! Braun Strowman def. Keith Lee - Keith Lee was able to toss Braun around like we’ve never seen before. Sadly, WWE can’t keep one cool thing in one feud, as Braun won by low-blowing Lee “without the ref seeing” even though he definitely was in position to see it. After the match, Lee crushed Braun’s nuts with his foot. Rightfully so. But this wasn’t great. Asuka def. Lana - It went longer than I thought, but ended exactly the way it would. After the match, as DJ Khaled would say, “Another one.” You know what happened. Please continue to tell me in the comments that it’s not exactly what I’ve been saying it is. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler win a pointless match - Let me ask, what was the point of doing this match if they weren’t having someone defeat the tag champs to set up a title match? I don’t usually like making people #1 contenders that way, but at least it’s something. Also, Lacey and Peyton? Lacey? Peyton? This could have been the IIconics! Why split them up to put Peyton right back into a pairing with someone else? It could have been a one-off, but the way they had them acting exactly like Nia and Shayna, something tells me that will continue. EL GRAN GORDO - Nothing else about anything that happened here matters. I HOWLED when Otis came out in that ridiculous get up. Elias sang - This was about 7 or 8 straight minutes of an Elias concert that sucked, followed by Hardy playing a guitar solo and swinging for Elias’ head while telling him he didn’t try to run him over months ago on SmackDown. Sure Jeff, that’ll make him believe you. The draft was supposed to make this show better. So far, it didn’t #EndSARS |
Minemrys:If you were asked to chose how you'd lose a match 7-2 or 1-0 so you'll choose 7-2 now I know you love pain ![]() |
