ddippset: It is very very very very tough to stay mute in face of such misinformation and ignorance.
I had promised to keep off this worthless argument so i'd only touch on one aspect of your posts.
The nonsense about so called COMEBACK.
Every other aspect, I'd ignore you because they've been addressed over and over for the past 3 days and for the past 15 years as well.
This special tag given to any player.in the name of a "comeback" is the biggest nonsense/scam in the history of football. Moreso when such a player was part of the team which choked in the first leg.
A comeback is a problem you create for yourself. Nobody creates that problem for you, Not UEFA, Not FIFA.
You could only speak of a player masterminding a comeback if and only if that player was missing the first leg(literally).
Figuratively speaking, a player does not go missing in the first leg,(like Ronaldo does severally) and then play excellently in the second leg and then you want to coman sing us some nonsense about a comeback.
Let's take the Wovesbourg game for instance!
How does Ronaldo participate in the team that loses the first leg by 2 Nil, but then wins the second by leg 3 Nil and then you want to give him special credit for the so called comeback?
Questions; 1. Was he suspended when his team was beaten 2 Nil? 2.. Was he sleeping when he was beaten 2 Nil? 3. Were his legs tied when he was beaten 2 Nil?
Same questions go for the Juve/Athletico game.
Did he not feature in the match where his team was spanked 2 Nil by Athletico?
Now let's do a typical example from the history books!
*Arsenal 2, Barca 2. Barca 4, Arsenal 1.
Aggregate Barca 6, Arsenal 3.
*Athletico 2, Juventus 0. Juventus 3, Athletico 0.
Aggregate Juventus 3, Athletico 2.
The Aggregate is key.
So you mean that it is sensible to give special credit to Juventus and Ronaldo in the above scenario because there was a "comeback?"
What manner of foolishness is this If this isn't the dumbest arguement ever made in the history of arguements I don't know what is...Geez |

Martinez39s: Stop being dishonest. We all know that players do lose games and have a bad form in certain matches, but do you know what it means to choke? Can Ronaldo be in a team and his opponent will comeback from a 3-0 deficit? Can Ronaldo be in a team and AS Roma will overturn a 4-1 deficit? Can Ronaldo miss penalties that will cost Argentina Portugal two Copa America Euro titles?
Even though both players are match winners, we have seen Ronaldo resurrect his team when all hope seems lost way more often than Messi those. Against Wolfsburg, Ronaldo singlehandedly came resurrected Madrid after a 2-0 loss in the first leg. He did the same for Juventus against Atletico Madrid. He didn't fumble when taking that late minute penalty against Juventus in 2018 to see Madrid through.
Ronaldo might have lost matches, but he has never choked. Never.
Was Ronaldo the GOAT at that time? Has he reached GOAT level in 2004? Btw, his performance wasn't poor in that match unlike Messi when Messi chokes.
Both players had a poor performance. Messi couldn't manage a goal in the 2010 world cup. Tevez, Higuain and the rest were carrying Argentina along.
The Spanish side were the best team in the world at that time, and they were almost unplayable. Portugal were the only team to squeeze a draw from them, but penalty is a game of luck. Ronaldo waiting to take the winning penalty isn't a bad thing, teams have done that with their best players during a penalty shootout... winning pk is reserved for the best player. We saw that when Didier Drogba took the winning pk against Bayern Munich in the 2012 ucl final.
He didn't choke.
He was injured in the final after a collision and had to be taken off, how was it his fault? Have you forgotten that Ronaldo's goals in the group stages prevented Portugal from elimination during the group stages?
Was his performance poor? It just one of those matches lost. You will never see Ronaldo choke and bottle up an advantage. You need to understand what choking and bottling up means.
Lol.
You conveniently left out the fact that Ronaldo played in the semifinal where he scored a hat trick against Switzerland to give Portugal a 3 - 1 victory. Switzerland were the better side but Ronaldo made the difference.
Are you serious? Ronaldo scored against Chelsea in that match. Man Utd ended up winning the final. Where is the choking and bottling up here?
Ronaldo didn't choke or bottle anything, and his performance wasn't bad.
You mean against FC Barcelona? In the first leg at the Bernabeu, Madrid were robbed by the referee and the theatrics of Barça players.
Ronaldo scored Madrid's only goal in that 2-1 defeat. He got sent early.
Where is the choking and bottling up here? Ronaldo scored a penalty in that final and Madrid won. This is not the first time you are calling Ronaldo out for "choking" in a game he scored in, and his team won.
The penalty won Madrid the cup. Remember that Ronaldo was fieled while injured. If carrying the pressure of a winning penalty is easy, why did Messi choke against Chile twice? Once again, you are calling Ronaldo out for "choking" in a match he helped his team win.
Once again, you are calling Ronaldo out for "choking" in a match his team won. His performance on that final wasn't bad, he just happened not to score.
Before that match, Ronaldo helped Juventus overturn a 2-0 first leg deficit against Atletico Madrid. Against Ajax, Ronaldo scored all Juventus's goals in the 3-2 aggregate lose. Didn't he try?
I can give you this one.
No one is saying Ronaldo doesn't fumble. It all boils down to the fact that Ronaldo, way more often than Messi, turns up when it matters most even in big games.
pupl3 . You tried

TLona1: Lmao
Why are you cherry picking? Which one is "Champions league beyond the round of 16 since April 2 2013"? Only a desperate loser will go this far all in the name of bringing someone down. Talking of UCL goals, Messi has the best goalscoring ratio in history and that's all that matters. Nobody cares whether you score away or not
Messi was absolutely horrible?? Who assisted Iniesta's golazo that sent us to the final?
I can see how you stylishly dodged the 4-0 massacre against arsenal where he scored the 4 goals sending us to the Semis. Maybe that wasn't a big match also right??
Everybody knows Messi had a very bad World Cup experience in 2010 but he made up for it in 2014 where he was awarded the best player in the tournament
Lol.. You're a joking joke! Messi was "invisible" yet he assisted all Barca's goals against Chelsea in that tie. I really don't blame you TapInaldo fanboys.. You're already used to Ronaldo's tap ins that is why a player can only perform well when he scores according you guys...
Messi was battling injury problems during this period. He came from the bench in the Quarter finals against PSG and singlehandedly sent us to the Semi Final. The injury still affected him in the semi finals against Bayern in the first where Barca lost 4-0. Due to this same injury, he couldn't play the second leg so that "180 minutes of play" you typed is nothing but a crystal lie from the pit of Hell!
2014 was generally a bad season for Barcelona for Barca and the Worst season since 2007/08. Every Barca player wasn't up and doing. It's a normal phenomenon that every club and player has gone through..
Say whatever you want but Messi was the best player in the Tournament. Maybe Ronaldo too should also "stat pad" so that he'll honoured as a World Cup MVP
Yes like every bad player, he had a bad game
Lies, lies, lies.
Messi never ghosted in any of these Copa Americas. He was litrally the best player. You will talk of penalty losses but I will tell you that during the penalty shootout in 2015 final, he was the only Argentine who score his penalty while the rest lost and in 2016, it wasn't his penalty that made Argentina get defeated but Bilgia's
For the last time, I'll say this to you Ronaldo fanboys, a player doesn't necessarily have to do tap ins before he can have a good game. Messi created the most chances against Juventus that year. It wasn't his fault that Suarez andbl Iniesta were wasting his assists
Again, Messi was also battling injury during this period but this time around, this wasn't an excuse.. He waa woeful and we all agree
In World Cup 2018,
Messi took his team out of the Group stage after his goal and leadership quality against Nigeria. Against France in the RO16, he gave two sublime assists. It's not his fault that Argentina's defence was opened like Mia Khalifa's legs
Lol, I didn't know that Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool are weak oppositions.
Against Liverpool in the 2nd leg he was the Barca player with the most chances created. Suarez, Jordi Alba and Coutinho were wasting his assists so it practically wasn't his fault. After all, we saw what he did in the first leg
In conclusion, Messi doesn't have to restrict his game to goalscoring alone like Ronaldo. Asides scoring he can have a very good game and that's what your Penaldo FanDogs should understand
Now, I heard the only time Ronaldo turned up in a UCL final was against Juventus in 2017. How true is that? Chai , this Argentine Hobbit's world class choking prowess have conditioned all of y'all Cules/arse lickers to morph into world class excuse givers
Cos that's all I see here... excuses excuses excuses...lame implausible ones too. |

FirstbornWds: Guy.. Why are you like this.
How is the Fernando Peroteo related to Messi and Ronaldo's argument?
Yes Peroteo was a great goal-scorer no doubt but bringing the Portuguese talisman to a table where greats are mentioned is totally off the charts.
Like someone rightly pointed out, Maradona had fewer goals, just about 25 goals than L. Suarez, yet he's considered one of the bests.
Even Ronaldiho was much less of a goalscorer yet he's widely recognized than whatever Peroteo that you're bringing up. Let's not even talk about Eusebio, his fellow countryman. SMH o. SMH Jesus You know what, never mind bruh... |

Statistically i.e. goals, assists and others, messi outperforms Ronaldo.
Trophies wise, Messi outshines him again
And when it comes to the general opinion of the football world messi is considered greater..
There is absolutely no measure by which Ronaldo outshines Messi.... Lmaooooooooo....if Messi is a better player than Ronaldo then Fernando Peroteo is the greatest footballer that ever lived |
