It Will. Such story is gonna be something different from what we've seen in a Superman film. This will be a way to explore Clark Lois relationship. Being an alien doesn't mean she can't be attracted to Superman (which is what she does) beside Superman himself is an alien who is attracted to Lois Lane, so that alien excuse doesn't add up. Maxima has occasionally serves as an adversary for Superman, so I don't see any reason why she can't be the villain. Her story will take us away from the conventional Superman vs world destroying villain story we are used to, it will be more of a threat on Superman's private life which will be costly anyways because her means of carrying out her ambition on Superman will be highly deadly, a means that might/ will surely put Lois Lane and if care is not taken Martha, in danger because she is gonna employ all means necessary including threat, brute force, blackmail. A movie like this will not be about Superman saving the world from threat rather it will be about Superman saving his private life and love ones from threat. This will be Superman version of Batman Hush. It will be a highly romantic, love, emotional and of course action packed movie. Such a movie will be epic, something different from the conventional Superman movies we know and seen likewise CBMs just like THE JOKER. Me personally will be interested to see a movie with such a story.

We've seen how Superman can handle pressures from the public, media and villains, it time for us to see how the man of steel can handle the pressure of being in a love triangle.

There are crimes such as kidnapping, human trafficking, terrorism, weap0ns sale etc. Imagine villains such as intergang featuring bad guys like metallo, parasite, at0mic skull at the helm of it with granny go0dness, there's a story and acti0n there. M0st stories featuring , has her kidnapping and trafficking children to train for darkseid, and also has her selling apokoliptian tech to criminals. U can start with that and have lots of fight scenes while the relati0nship btw lois and clark and their job is explored.

Bane was t0o ra'as al ghul like than joker. And brainiac w0n't sit well with audiences after m0s seeing as it's the only solo superman m0vie they'd be going to, and watching same destructi0n and d0minati0n level threat sparks a M0s remake than sequel. Trust me, bt if u still insist, am d0ne with this argument. Just wait till wb make brainiac the villain. Even ww84 aint going with similar style of villain with ww.

d0omsday is mainly a plot device than a character. U can't have superman battling or on the l0ok out for a mindless beast all through 2 hourz. And then, using him means bringing into bear the death of superman which had bvs n0t d0ne it, would've been way to early. There's so little u can do with d0omsday, hence why he's used when the story is a character centre piece featuring lots of characterz. Using d0omsday in a solo supes film, makes it boring cos it means, lots of c0ncentrati0n on other characterz. That's why he's often brought into stories featuring the JL.
An0ther villain that'd work well in a m0s film is the cadmus organisati0n headed by amanda waller. And mind u, waller is often times a superman foe.

go watch the animatd show. Superman fights crimes. He did it in smallville. C0me on, he's an investigative reporter. And parasite cameoing means him appearing in the film as 0ne of the memberz of intergang hired and brought together by granny go0dness. Bro, go watch smallville seas0n 8 or 9, superman is m0re than just handling intergalactic threats. He also has a life and job which the films rarely focused on. Dude,not everything is fit for the big screen...you of all people should know this.. Clark in smallville couldn't even fly plus he was still a growing kid and that's different from Cavill's version on the big screen...street level thugs won't be a compelling watch against superman in the cinema and they would have to really tone him down with either Kryptonite or just without explanation like that stupid Aqualad and Donna Troy in Titans

There are times when u increase the tempo or reduce it.

n0t really. He didn't achieve anything aside killing superman. And even with supes dead, his legacy wasn't. H0nestly, i dnt get why batman hated supes in the film. They literally didn't show it. They just told us. And in story telling, just telling the audience than showing them is a negative prospect. The way the fight was resolved was t0o po0r that had bizarro being the villain, it'd have made sense, and that martha line would've been well executd.

lo0king at the story 4 bvs, yes bizarro would've been a perfect villain. Like, the story was abt abs0lute power corrupts, lex would've cl0ned a superman that'll destroy supes' image and then anger bruce the m0re. Like that scene where supes rescues Lois, Lex would've secretly sent his superman afterwards to kill every0ne then film it to show the world at that hearing. There was so much bizarro could've d0ne in bvs c0nsidering the story. But i disagree on d0omsday being a go0d fit for a M0s 2.

all the m0re reas0n n0t to use brainiac immediately after zod. We've seen the colonializati0n and d0minati0n thingy in MOS. Going with similar theme doesn't bring anything new to the table. And trust me, such wouldn't bring a large BO cos we've all seen it in lots of films that it bec0mes less interesting.

People love destruction and superhero feats too..not just psychology which can also be incorporated in a Braniac story by a good writer... Braniac bossing the B.O. is a no BRAINER

bro, parasite as a villain in a supes film if d0ne right is a great idea. Check the themes that go with brainiac, it has been an over used trope in sci fi. And the thing is brainiac in a solo superman film right after general zod would just make superman all the m0re a generic character. Check this out, why didn't n0lan go for riddler after using the joker in TDK. Or use bane and talia after ra'as al ghul? To create s0me fresh air and do s0mething dynamic.

Parasite's a go0d villain but s0mething we haven't seen in superman films that is present in the animatd show is superman fighting crime, uncovering secrets through his investigative journalism skills. Only BvS tried to do this. And am sure if they made supes do m0re of that and with a gr8 villain, our opini0n abt superman would change. It'll also give clark kent m0re chance to be a character and explore his relati0nship with Lois. Bringing a crime organisati0n and c0ntinuing the apocalypse story as a sub plot with intergang and granny goodness would be great. Parasite can cameo bt to set up a JL film with the injustice league. It's high time we actually saw superman fighting crime instead of just aliens and lex luthor.

Secondly this your angle sounds good but Superman isn't batman that goes around fighting thugs and solving crimes man, superman is known to always deal with planet level threats or above that's his Forte... a film of him beating up thugs without any real sense of him being in any danger or the risk of having common thugs have access to kryptonite...e no make sense

However, you're looking at it somewhat too holistically, they both have individual traits that can be harnessed depending on the film's plot.

You'll have to look beyond the mindless brutes aspects of them.
