At the end of the day, Oliver had more songs you can relate to than Fela. Fela's songs in those days were for never-do-wells of society. Sane people hardly listened to Fela because his songs were and are still rough. No melody. Just words. I enjoyed songs from musicians like Osadebe, Oliver, etc. than I enjoyed Fela's music, not because those guys were from the East but because they organized their songs better than Fela did.

Afrobeat is combining West African rhythms with jazz and funk. Highlife is guitar-driven, melodic West African sound. They are different. Fela is the originator of afrobeat, Oliver sang highlife. The Europeans could connect more with Fela because his music reminded them of Jazz and funk while Oliver could only reach our local audience. Both great musicians with different styles.

That's just the truth not only igbo highlife musicians but also ghanaian highlife musicians contributed greatly in creating afrobeats i even learnt it was ghanaians that actually created it.

Campaign just started, so you all should just chill, Tinubu will have a good outing in Delta state, the tempo of Obi in the state has whittle down so it's going to be a walkover, I live in Warri, born and raised in the city and i know the momentum Obi's candidature poses in the buildup in the 2023 election season, but i tell you all all for free, the igbo community that brought out money for campaigns are not willing to take that risk anymore. Politics is a big business and a lot of money is needed for the campaign to be successful. Those people on the road campaigning with the posters of Tinubu are campaign hustlers been sponsored by an individual, that's how different campaign groups will emerge and whether you like it or not the message of Tinubu candidature will be preached vigorously for them to achieve their targets
