FoodHow To Make Fried Chicken With Coca-cola - For Real! by pulcherima(op): 1:31pm On Sep 06, 2015
Of all the the things to do with a bottle of Coca-Cola, frying chicken would probably never occur to you. Me too. My eyes popped when I saw a fried chicken with Coca-Cola recipe and I probably will try it out soon. Take a look at the finished product and see if you would want to try this too, at least for the sake of experiment (and then you might fall in love!) The recipe is also included.

http://opeyemioladotun..com.ng/2015/09/how-to-make-fried-chicken-with-coca.html

All you need are pieces of chicken wings, a cup of coca-cola, and about a cup of soy sauce. you start by pouring some soy sauce over the chicken wings in a bowl, mix in thoroughly and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Proceed to fry the chicken in shallow oil, fry each side for about 5 minutes and then add some more soy sauce and add the cup of coca-cola too, Give it a good stir. Turn down the heat and let it cook for about 15 minutes more and then it's ready to eat.

To see a video of how it is made, click here: http://opeyemioladotun..com.ng/2015/09/how-to-make-fried-chicken-with-coca.html

FoodRe: How To Make Ofio (Tiger Nut) Milk by pulcherima(op): 1:27pm On Sep 06, 2015
Yes it does have nutritional and medicinal value:

Tigernuts are very healthy, they help to prevent hearth attacks, thrombosis and activate blood circulation. Due to the high contents of soluble glucose they prevent cancer and lately some investigators discovered that they reduce the risk of suffering colon cancer. The very high fibre content combined with a delicious taste, make them ideal for healthy eating.

They are also a great source of Vitamin C and E and also contain minerals like potassium and phosphorus.
PhonesWhat To Do When Your Phone Falls In Water by pulcherima(op): 1:22pm On Sep 06, 2015
I recently saw a video of a guy dipping his Samsung Galaxy S6 phone in Coca-Cola for 2 minutes just to see if it would survive. He had previously dipped it in water and all that happened was that the home screen button stopped working, and interestingly, the Coke seemed to have no effect on the phone at all (at least, not as at the time the video was done)

I understand however that not all of us would want to do such expensive experiments with our smart phones, and if for any reason it gets dunked in any form of liquid, it seems like a good time to panic.

http://opeyemioladotun..com.ng/2015/09/your-phone-fell-in-water-here-is-how-to.html#more

Well, don’t panic just yet. There still may be hope. Just follow these steps and you’ll have a good chance of breathing life back into your drowned smartphone. Be sure to read what not to do for some useful myth busting.

Step 1. Turn it off.

It may be your first instinct to test whether your gadget actually works. But just a few seconds could make a difference in whether it survives. As soon as it plunges into that toilet, fish it out and turn it off.

DON’T: Don’t turn it on to check to see if it still works. Putting pressure on the keys could shift liquid farther into the device.

Step 2. Remove SIM card and peripherals.

Take off those covers, remove the SD Cards and SIM Cards — any possible thing that can be removed to dry on its own. The more areas of the phone that can air out, the better. Some phones, like the iPhone, don’t have a removable battery. Unfortunately, you’ll just have to skip this step and hope for the best if you dunk one of them.

DON’T: SIM cards can survive a bath, but definitely not heat. Don’t stick your phone in the oven, even on low. The heat can warp your phone’s circuits and melt its internal components. You shouldn’t use a blow dryer either. A fan might help, but a microwave is out of the question.

Step 3. Suck out the liquid.

If you have a vacuum cleaner with small nozzle attachments you can use that, or use a straw to perform reverse CPR on your phone’s orifices. Get an empty bowl and set it down next to you. If we’re talking about an iPhone, you’re going to want to focus on the earphone port, the earpiece, the microphone port and the charger area. Every time you suck in some liquid, spit it into the bowl to avoid swallowing any sort of weird mechanical chemicals. If the phone fell in the toilet, this is not a good idea, please, skip this is to overcharge the handset so that the build-up of heat is gradual and not excessive, but this carries all the risks you’d expect with running a current through wet circuitry.

DON’T: Don’t try shaking your phone to expel water. Instead, use a dry cotton cloth or towel to dry off the external portions of your phone a much as you can. It only increases the possibility of water getting inside the circuits.

Step 4. Rice and silica.

Just because your phone is dry on the outside, doesn’t mean it’s dry on the inside. To take care of that, fill a bowl with uncooked rice and bury your phone in it. The rice wicks away the moisture trapped inside your phone, ensuring that it is completely dry inside and out.

You can also fill a plastic baggy with silica packets (those little packets that you find in shoe boxes) and drop your phone in into it. Silica is a desiccant that sucks up water moisture, so it’s perfect for drying a wet smartphone.

Another simple method is to place the phone in front of an air conditioner. The cold air won’t damage the phone and the dry air from the air conditioner makes the water to evaporate quickly.

Whether you choose the rice method or the silica method, you’ll have to leave your phone in the bowl or bag for about three days to make sure that all of the moisture has been removed.

Step 5: Turn your phone back on.

After you’ve waited at least 24 hours, it’s time for the moment of truth. Reassemble your phone, charge it and try to power it on. Bending a pipe cleaner to brush against the edges of your gadget ports is also helpful to gauge the amount of moisture remaining. If it still looks wet, put it back in the bowl and wait another day. If it’s totally dry, turn it on and see how it works.

Step 6: Is your warranty still valid?

Check to see if the liquid contact indicator (LCI), a small white sticker, turned red when it came into contact with water. Manufacturers place LCIs on their products to use as a litmus test when deciding warranty claims. In most cases, they can refuse to fix or replace your handset if the LCI has been triggered.

FoodHave You Ever Had Ogbono Soup With Ewedu?! by pulcherima(op): 9:02pm On Aug 28, 2015
Well garnished Ogbono soup is a delicacy that makes my heart sing. Just thinking about some nicely molded pounded yam (even Ola Ola poundo yam would do) sitting beside a steaming bowl of ogbono is thrilling. Don't mind me, that is how I usually get lyrical about good food. Anyway, I'm sure we can all agree about the fact that Ogbono is always an excellent choice of soup anyday. Most people cook ogbono with ugwu leaves or other vegetables, accompanied with differnt kinds of protein of course. I usually even do it with okro too, and my family loves it. However, I never thought about Ogbono and Ewedu (Jute leaves) until I found this recipe on Korje, and believe me, it makes plenty sense!

http://opeyemioladotun..com/2015/08/for-love-of-food-have-you-ever-tried.html

Ingredients

2 cups ogbono, blended
1 large onion
3 fresh peppers, scotch bonnet or habanero
1/4 cup palm oil
Goat meat
Cow skin (ponmo)
1 stock fish head
Jute leaves
3 stock cubes

Method

Soak stock fish in salt water to soften. Pound pepper, crayfish and onion together, set aside.Wash goat meat properly. Wash ponmo and cut to desired size. Put the meat and stock fish in a pot and season with one stock cube and some salt, allow to cook in its own water for about 3 minutes before adding water. If your ponmo is hard, add it to the meat to cook from the onset. If it is soft, wait until the meat is almost ready before adding it.

When the meat is almost ready, put the pepper and crayfish mix, add the palm oil too. Make sure you still have enough meat stock in the pot, if not, add some water.

Put in your properly blended ogbono and allow to boil for about 10 minutes, stir regularly to avoid burning. Add the remaining stock cubes. Taste for salt. Add jute and allow to cook for a few minutes before removing from heat.

ComputersTop 7 Tips To Help Extend Battery Life On Your Devices by pulcherima(op): 3:51pm On Aug 25, 2015
The most important specification to look out for when buying phones and laptops is probably the battery strength. You know how frustrating it can be when your batteries keep draining out fast. Buying devices with excellent battery strength is not enough to guarantee long battery life, you need to use yoir devices in ways that will extend your battery life and keep you from having to replace them too soon. These are 7 tips that work.

1. Keep Your Phone and Laptop Cool

Few things cause a battery to degrade faster than high temperatures. Don’t leave a laptop, phone, or other gadget in a hot car, make sure your laptop doesn’t overheat, and keep your phone from getting too hot. Making your gadgets last longer is a good excuse to turn on the air conditioner.

2. Turn Down the Brightness

You’ll squeeze more battery life out of your phone by turning the brightness down. Previous tests suggest the difference in battery life between the highest and lowest brightness settings on an iPhone is a few hours. Dark wallpapers might also make a difference. Brightness matters also when you’re running on battery on your laptop.

3. Choose Sleep Mode Rather Than Shutdown If You’ll Use Your Laptop Soon

When you put your laptop to sleep it still draws some power, which might lead you to think it’s better to shutdown your computer. However, in our experience, shutting down and starting up a laptop can actually draw more power than putting it to sleep and waking it. Hibernating saves more battery life than sleep mode, but it takes longer to get back to up and running.

4. Calibrate Your Phone or Laptop Battery

Your phone and laptop can sometimes lie about how much charge you have left. Calibrating the battery every so often will make sure it’s accurate. The process is pretty easy, at least on laptops. (Unfortunately, if calibration doesn’t help and your battery life is piddling, it’s time to replace the battery, if possible.)

5. Don’t Let Your Phone or Laptop Run Out of Battery Too Often

Modern batteries these days don’t need to be frequently fully discharged in order to retain battery life. Instead, charge more often before use rather than letting the battery run down. These shallow charges will help extend your battery’s lifespan.

6. Don’t Leave Your Phone Plugged In When It’s Completely Charged

In a similar vein, you don’t need to charge your battery all the way to 100%. 40-80% would be preferable. If you do charge plug it so it doesn’t stay at that fully-charged, battery-health-eating state.

7. Test and Monitor Your Laptop’s Battery

Batteries can be mystifying with all these do’s and don’ts to follow. If you find your laptop battery doesn’t hold a charge very long anymore, there are some troubleshooting tips and tools you can try to fix the problem, whether you’re on Mac or Windows.

When choosing a new gadget, remember that battery life is the most important spec.

FoodHow To Make Ofio (Tiger Nut) Milk by pulcherima(op):
For a very long time, I didn't know any other name for them than 'ofio'. The nice nuts we used to buy from mallams and abokis on our way back from school. They made me cough a lot, but I bought them still. Now, I know they are called Tiger nuts in English and I also know you can make some really nice and rich milk from them. I'll tell you how.

Soak the very dry nuts in a generous quantity of cold water for 2 days. Keep it in the fridge for the duration of the soaking so that the nuts do not ferment. Most tiger nuts sold in Nigeria are fresh and well hydrated so you'll only need to soak those ones for a few hours or overnight.
After the soaking, wash the nuts very well and sort out the bad ones, alternatively, you can do this before soaking.
Put them in your kitchen blender and pour just enough water to help the blades move. This is to make this milk as concentrated and tasty as possible, you can add more water later if you wish.
At this time you can add other ingredients: coconut, sugar, ginger and other flavors of your choice and blend them together. However, it's advisable to keep your flavors as natural and minimal as possible, you don't want to mask the flavor of the nuts themselves.
After blending, use a very fine sieve strainer or chiffon cloth to separate the milk from the chaff. Press well to make sure you squeeze out all the milk.
Put the dry chaff back in the blender, add more water and blend again. Then strain again.
Pour the extracted milk into bottles and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
By the way, the reason Tiger nuts made me cough when I was young was because I used to try to swallow the chaff, which is hard. If like me, you would rather swallow the chaff than spit it out (what a waste, abi, and undignified. Lol), simply chew it with groundnut. It softens the chaff, don't ask me about the chemistry involved, but it works. Only thing is that you get a mixed flavor.

CrimePublic Awareness Notice: BVN Fraud! by pulcherima(op): 9:20am On Aug 21, 2015
Bank verification number (BVN), I guess most people have done theirs by now. I kept hoping all the while that the BVN scheme wouldn't create more problems than it would solve, and unfortunately, it appears that scammers and fraudsters are already taking advantage of it to dupe people. With that one number linked to all the accounts you own in different banks, imagine how much damage can be done! Mr Adewole didn't have time to imagine before he got duped. Read his account below and be guided.

Please read this carefully, it may save you a few hundred, or a few thousand, or may be a few million bucks. It's a personal experience, a true event that happened this afternoon.
I am Sunday Adewole, I just fell victim of fraudsters a few hours ago. I am an account holder with StanbicIBTC bank, I am trying to put fund together to pay for my daughter's tuition fee in CU in which case the institution already resumed last week.
Yesterday afternoon, I got a call from somebody purportedly from StanbicIBTC who said "Am I speaking with Dr. Adewole" (called out my other names) to which I answered in the affirmative.
He said he called in respect of my BVN which I was observed not to have done, I replied that I already had it done with Skye bank and he said the bank will send me a link so that my account with Stanbic will be linked with the BVN.
True to our conversation, I receive a message from StanbicIBTC in which an OTP (One time password) was sent to my phone. A few minutes later, he called to ask if I got the the SMS, I told him yes but I can't do anything about it cos I was driving.
He said no problem I should call out the numbers which I did and he thanked me for my cooperation in a customer service manner. I heard nothing since then till this afternoon at precisely 13:00 hrs when I received a SMS from StanbicIBTC informing me of a debit transaction which cleared my account to the lowest thousand, i.e. I was left with a paltry N685 (six hundred and eighty five Naira).
I called my account officer who confirmed to me that I have fallen victim of fraudsters and he checked up on my account and saw that the recipient account is in First Bank. My puzzle is how did they get my account details? .....

FoodHow To Know If Honey Is Original by pulcherima(op): 10:52am On Jun 18, 2015
Honey is so important. It's good for food, for healing wounds, for cosmetics, as drugs, etc. Because it has so versatile and in high demand, most of the honey that is sold around is unfortunately fake. Just last week, I did a post on how a mixture of honey and cinnamon is all you need for many of your beauty and health problems. You can't afford to have fake honey in the mix. The color and thickness of honey varies based on what kind of pollen it was made from, so color is not a good test for honey. How can you tell the fake from the original honey? Here are 7 foolproof tricks.

1. Natural Honey is not sticky

If you rub some honey between your fingers and it is sticky or gummy, then it is not all natural. Real honey is easily absorbed by the skin.

2. Caramelizing

When you pour some honey into a pan and heat it up, raw honey caramelizes while the fake ones foam and bubble.

3. The paper test

Pour some honey on paper. Real honey will stick together, while the structure of the fake one will break down after some time.

4. The Ant Test

Ants never, ever go near real honey. If you have hands in or around your honey, then it definitely has some kind of sugar in it.

5. The Water Test

Natural honey falls when poured in water and settles together at the bottom, fake honey melts and mixes in with the water.

6. The tongue test

Pure, natural honey causes a mild inflammation and tingling sensation on the tongue, the fake one does not.

7. Crystallization

Real honey crystallizes with time but the fake one becomes somewhat syrupy.

LiteratureShort Story: Chased By An Angry Madman by pulcherima(op): 1:45pm On Jun 13, 2015
It was a Sunday morning and Sumbo was standing at the bus stop. She looked anxiously at her wrist watch and prayed a bus, a tricycle or a bike showed up soon, she was running late for the first service already and it wouldn't do to have to attend the second service which was conducted in Igbo.

Sumbo was new in Nsukka, it was only her second month in the quiet university town in Southeastern Nigeria. It was the compulsory national youth corp scheme that had taken her there and her understanding of the Igbo language was limited to the common greetings. Sumbo lived in an interior part of town where vehicular traffic was low and one always had to wait for a while before getting transportation.

http://opeyemioladotun..com/2015/06/short-story-chased-by-angry-madman.html

The waiting was usually worse on Sundays, but the options were either to wait it out or take the 10 minute walk to the nearest busy bus stop. Sumbo was wearing stiletto heels and was in no mood to walk on the rough tar that paved the roads. She was still waiting when a local woman walked out to also wait for a bus on the other side of the road from Sumbo. The woman had a baby strapped to her back and two little boys on either side of her. They all waited.

A man in a red shirt showed up shortly on the horizon approaching where Sumbo stood. He was holding a cutlass and Sumbo assumed he was just one of the local farmers who was heading to inspect his farm. When he was close enough for his face to be seen, the woman with the children suddenly looked troubled, she grabbed one of her boys and seized the other's hand and they all hurried along. Sumbo wondered at the strange behavior.

If only she had known the man in red was no ordinary farmer but a village lunatic, maybe she would have immediately followed the woman. As the man in red got closer, he stared hard at Sumbo and started speaking rapid igbo. Sumbo didn't understand the words, but she understood the tone - the man was angry. She ignored him at first, thinking his anger couldn't be directed at her, she didn't know him after all.

The terror seized Sumbo when the man suddenly started brandishing his cutlass and speaking more loudly and rapidly. Sumbo suddenly understood why the other woman had fled. Quickly, Sumbo crossed to the other side of the road, walking as fast as she could and refusing to look back, she didn't want to break into a full run because she knew if it came to a chase, the mad man would catch her in no time. So she walked and she prayed, she hoped the brain of the mad man worked like that of a dog that would not chase you unless you ran.

All the while, the mad man was still behind her, she could hear his loud, angry voice. The few people she met on the road were retreating as they saw him. Sumbo prayed even harder. Zoooooommm, Sumbo heard the sound of an approaching bike, it felt like it was the best sound she had ever heard. As it got close to her, she flagged it down hurriedly, even the bike man had a wary eye on the fast approaching mad man.

Sumbo jumped on the bike immediately it reached her without even bothering to ask for the fare or tell the rider her destination. The bike rider didn't ask too, he did a quick turn and they were soon speeding away. She looked back and saw the man in red still waving his cutlass and watching them go.

When she got off the bike at the gate of the church a few minutes later, Sumbo could still hear her heart pounding in her chest.

In Boston, a grieving widow, whose husband has recently passed away, receives the e-mail. She reads it, screams, and faints. Hearing her grandmother’s cry, the widow's 18 year old granddaughter runs into the living room to see the computer on, with a message that reads, "Dear love, I just got here. Preparing for your arrival tomorrow. Can't wait to see you. Love, Me. P.S. Sure is hot down here."

FashionHow To Combine Your Striped Clothes Like A Diva by pulcherima(op): 6:15pm On Jun 11, 2015
Stripes and patterns are usually the most difficult fashion items to wear. You just seem at a loss as to how to style and combine them . Striped clothes are however a fashion staple, they help you alter your look - horizontal stripes make you look shorter and fatter (for tall and slim people) while vertical stripes give you a slimmer, taller look. It's easier when it's a dress, that's just one piece. But stripes on skirts, trousers and shirts can be more challenging to wear just right. The easiest thing to do is to pair them with solid colors, but you can decide to be a bit more daring with those stripes, you know...

1. Wear them with more stripes
2. Wear them with patterns
3. Wear them with solids
4. Wear them with jeans
5. Wear them with polka dots
6. Wear them with plaid

EducationHow To Increase Your Learning Speed by pulcherima(op): 9:10am On Jun 11, 2015
Learning is a continuous process and is something we do everyday. It's not enough to simply learn, but we need to develop the ability to learn a thing or subject well in the shortest amount of time possible! There is so much to learn already, so effective learning is important. These are things to know to help you be a fast (or faster) learner.

1. There are no shortcuts

Yes, there are! If you think that learning is a long, hard slog, then think again. Whatever your field or area of study, find out who the gurus are and what their advice is to make the learning curve less steep. By consulting the experts, you can find out nifty shortcuts. One suggestion is to find the top 10 influencers in your industry and then find out what they know and above all, how they went about learning all that knowledge. Find out what books they read and what skills sets they have. Most of them are willing to help and pay it forward. This is an excellent time saver.

As to the actual learning process, you will be able to discover new hacks to get faster results. Get expert advice on memory tips which will help you remember all that new information for longer. Learn to use all the technology and software in your field of study. Practice how to present the information by using mind maps or testing yourself by ‘teaching’ a friend what you have learned. Learn how to put multitasking in its place. It does not help you to learn better, most studies show.

2. Note taking will not really help

Let us imagine you have to get through a ton of reading to complete your MBA or university degree course. Students mistakenly think that taking notes will be a waste of time. But notes are useful. They help you to clarify your thoughts and they are great for revising. If you read in small chunks, they are great for helping you master the concepts and facts. They help you engage with the subject matter and that is an essential part of the learning process.

3. Time management is overestimated

If students feel that they will study best when the mood takes them, they are under exploiting their best resource, time. Once you start to manage your learning time, you are on the road to success. You can establish whether you learn better in the morning or the evening. How long can you study productively? Build in breaks for physical activity and healthy snacks. You will need to dedicate chunks of time to study so that no time is wasted and you will avoid terrible cramming and maybe even resorting to stimulants, which is illegal anyway. Cramming occurs because of poor time management. Stuffing your brain with masses of information is the surest way to forget it!

4. Studying grammar and vocabulary is the best way to learn a language

Some teachers and students still pursue the mistaken idea that grammatical knowledge plus mastery of vocabulary will get you proficient in French or German in no time! The research simply does not support this at all. Stephen Krashen is a distinguished linguist and he has always advocated that the most efficient way to acquire language is to understand messages from people’s conversations and what we read. He defines this as “comprehensible input.” Watch him in this 3 minute video where he gives a practical demonstration of his theory.

5. Everyone learns with a different learning style

For many years, teachers have been convinced that learners have a preferential learning style, for example if they are more visual, auditory or kinaesthetic (learning through doing). But there is very little research to actually demonstrate that this is true. But about 90% of UK teachers still believe this is the case. There are still unanswered questions about how people really learn and there are moves to help teachers understand neuroscience in finding these answers. The best solution is for students to discover what gives them the fastest results and helps them climb the learning curve in the shortest space of time.

The next time somebody asks you about which side of the brain you are using for learning, you could ask them to give you solid scientific evidence that this will affect the learning outcome. At the end of the day, learning is much more straightforward than many people like to think.

RomanceTips For Making Long Distance Relationships Work by pulcherima(op): 9:30am On Jun 08, 2015
In our times, it is very difficult to totally rule out long distant relationships, there are situations that warrant it, like work or school. Long distance relationships can be really tough to handle with both parties feeling the strain everyday. More and more long distance relationships break by the day due to a myriad of reasons which include but are not limited to a break down in communication, the presence of someone new who is always there, suspicions about whether the other person is still faithful which leads to distrust, etc.

Long distance relationships however have their positive sides too. For one, it helps both guy and girl focus on building real friendship rather than getting distracted by lust. They also help to make both people appreciate each other more and to appreciate the little thing. If they get it right, nothing and no one is taken for granted between them. I am going to share tips on making a long distance relationship work like clock work below.

1. Make a serious commitment

To make this work, you both have to make up your minds to 'just see how things go'. Rather, be determined to make things go the way you want them to. Believe me, everything including relationships have a mind of their own except you consciously make them subject to your own will. Communicate your commitment to each other and re affirm your commitment regularly. If yo begin to notice that re affirming commitment is getting difficult, then you know something is wrong that you will have to fix.

2. Communicate regularly and effectively

Thank God for modern technology! You can stay in touch over several media now: chat, voice calls, voice notes, Skype, the possibilities are endless. Involve each other in your daily life and activity as much as possible. No one should get out of the loop concerning what is going on with the other. To be able to communicate effectively however, you both need to know each other's daily schedules very well.

3. Plan regular visits

Don't kid yourself, it will be very difficult to stay strong if you and your significant other will be separated for a significant amount of time without any visits. Even if you can't afford a lot of visits, at least make plans for a couple of them. If your partner handles surprises well, you could even plan a surprise visit for a special occasion like a birthday, convocation or anniversary. Seeing each other after a long time always gives an excellent boost to your relationship.

4. Keep yourself productively busy

Being idle when you are in a long distant relationship with someone that actually means the World to you can be very depressing. You need to fill your own time up and avoid getting caught up in negative thoughts or overly missing the person. Get your a life and live it to the fullest!

5. Avoid 'dangerous situations'

You know what I mean. When Peter is far away in Australia, avoid spending so much time alone with Paul, your unit member in church. When Grace is in Canada trying to earn her diploma, don't get caught up with Shalom, the hot secretary at work doing seemingly innocent things like going to the cinema, or lunch dates all the time. If you do stiff like that, you are setting yourself up big time! It always starts innocently, but before you know it, everything blows out of proportion.

6. Have an end in mind

You can't stay separated forever, there must be an end to the distance between you that you both agree to from the beginning. As soon as you can, begin to make plans towards being together again. Having an end in mind give you something to work towards, something to hope for. Without something feasible to work towards, a long distance relationship is inherently doomed.

PhonesHistory Of The iPhone And What To Expect From Ios 9 Tomorrow by pulcherima(op): 4:42pm On Jun 07, 2015
By June 8, the truth will be revealed about iOS 9, but before then, the rumoured features include a more powerful Siri, split-screen multitasking on iPads, an Apple Maps app with transit directions, and a huge focus on stability.

As iPhone lovers prepare for the unveiling of the iOS 9 tomorrow, June 8, let's take a walk through time to the very first iPhone Apple ever created and it's other versions since then. A lot has changed on the iPhone since iPhone OS 1.0 was launched in 2007.

The iPhone 3G was launched in July 2008. The original iPhone could upgrade to iPhone OS 2.0. App store was introduced and upgrading provided access to third party apps.

OS 3.0 was released in June 2009. This software came pre-installed on the iPhone 3GS. OS 3.0 allowed users to copy and paste for the first time and introduced the first landscape keyboard.

iOS 4 came out in June 2010 with the multi tasking features, allowing users to switch between open applications without having to close and re open them. The 'iOS' name series also started with iOS 4 as against the former 'iPhone' GameCentre and FaceTime started with iOS4.
