yMcy56:Meritrade is very okay, they can be a bit slow with responding to email communication but they do. Regarding the interfaces, both platforms have their strengths and weaknesses, the new Meritrade interface is very simple to use and more userfriendly for the most part, beginners will find this quite intuitive to get around. MorganCapital is more robust but less user friendly, you have to dig in and read the help material to find things as you go along, however, it has more advanced features including the ability to see live trades and a robust reporting functionality which enables you to see the summarized market data and all your portfolio and financials... for me thats what sets it apart from meritrade. Finally, Morgancapital is abit effective with email coms, they try to get back to you within a few hours. If i were to choose one, i 'd actually go meritrade! Update 9-13-24: Further update to this , i personnaly prefer Meritrade to MorganCapital, one thing that i find very useful in MEritrade which i have not been able to adequately replicate in MC is to set a limit trade for days ahead, i find it more efficient in Meritrade than in MC. I can set a trade and leave it for 7 days for instance...this is very good because it enables you to hunt for the best price once you have done your analysis. What i mean is that if you do your analysis and you have a limit price, you can set it up in MT for 7 days...whenever i do this in MC, i find that it does not allow it overnight. |
Quick question guys, who sets the prices in the online platforms, sometimes it can be frustrating when you want to set a limit order at a certain price and you get the message "price is out of range". Is there a time when the prices are opened up and set daily, what determines the tradeable range? Sometimes, i feel that there's a racket in the process......

Streetinvestor2:These people are market makers, they may not draw a bunch of lines on a chart but they do not also buy on a whim, they make the markets, they are slow and methodical, they are called the composite investors. They are slow to make the market because they cannot drop all their monies in the market as it will spook the market as there will not be enough liquidity to match their offers, so they (and their friends) will buy OTC and spread their buys over a long period of time usually months and years. In any case, as an professional analyst, you are trained to understand market makers in action, this is when the market is at its most boring moments, the price is not going up nor going down for a very long long time, the price remains in a range, usually months. Why? The reason is because the market makers want to accumulate as much as they can at those levels so that their average price will be the lowest. IF Ote for instance makes it public that he will be entering a 1B position in Transcorp for instance, what do you think will happen in the market, guess what, everybody will start buying transcorp and eventually his average price will be higher than desired. The thing about accumulation is that is so boring many retail investors are not really interested because there is little or no movements, the truth is that when the movement starts, the composite investor is already in the market and has taken his position and this is when retail investors see the movements and then jump in (to make him richer). The best time to get in the market is the ranges. I tell my friends Ranges are your best friends!!! There is more to it but this is the abridged version. |

Streetinvestor2:...Thats a very hollow statement, no billionaire investor that did/does not have a formidable team. Infact, on the contrary, they surround themselves with a team of very sound analysts that review ALL investment decisions. If you think WB just wakes up one morning and decides to purchase an asset then that a joke! |

The market sentiment is quite bullish which is very good for investors, fridays are usually marked by selloffs are investors take profit however this week, we're seeing reverals caverton, cwg, wapco and the likes....people should really capitalize on this vitality/momentum in the market and take positions........ Wapco - heading for 66 ~47% cwg - 12.4 ~43% maybaker - 8.1 ~70% redstarex - 6.3 ~63% these are just a few of the assets we are tracking in the discord group update i think tantalizer will surprise everyone |

ucap and multiverse need to correct temporarily. ucap - Rally continues if we break 26 then it will open way to 29.3 ~ 423.6% of wave 1 else we may see correction to 19.5 Multiverse - next stop is 16.28 ~ 261.8% of sw1, these guys still have power to go higher medium term (have booked half my profit for now) Caverton - breaking 1.63 very healthy, next stop here will be 2.08, if you've not entered 1.67 is a good entry as this asset will some appreciable growth in the next few months. |
