Nigeria’s burgeoning online integrated media platform, ALEDEH, has uncovered more mystery on the return of Nigerian migrants from Libya, North Africa, where slave trade is currently going on. ALEDEH had exclusively reported on Wednesday, November 29, that Nigerians are being sold for 3,000 Dinars and are up to 10,000 in a room in Libya. In our Wednesday exclusive report, ALEDEH stated that two (2) toilets are being used by almost five thousand (5,000) people. The report came after ninety (90) Nigerians have been rescued from the gridlocks of the Libyan authorities a few days ago. Reacting to the development, Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari said on Wednesday, November 29, that the Nigerian government had started bringing stranded citizens home from Libya after a global outcry over reports that migrants there were being sold into slavery. The Nigerian President tweeted: ” The situation in Libya, of people being sold into slavery, is appalling and unacceptable. We will do everything to protect our citizens wherever they might be. ” We have also started bringing back home all Nigerians stranded in Libya and elsewhere. We will ensure they all return home safely and are rehabilitated”, the Nigerian leader tweeted on Wednesday, November 29. However, ongoing investigation by ALEDEH, reveals that the Nigerian government did not sponsor any of the trips made by the Libya returnees as claimed by the Nigerian leader, Buhari. http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/popular-lawyer-ikechukwu-ikeji-dead/ WARNING TO TRIBUNE NEWSPAPER et al. Tribune Newspaper Must stop junk journalism and learn to give credit where it should be given. Your reporter (Ayomide Owonibe Odekanyin) had no information on the death of Barr. Ikechukwu Ikeji who we at ALEDEH are mourning being a close friend of the publisher. ALEDEH (www.aledeh.com) broke the news. All your reporter did, was to go to www.aledeh.com and plagiarize the story. I have my style of writing and choice of words so when you lift it, I will know even without permission. Do you have an editor? If yes! Why did your reporter (Ayomide Owonibe Odekanyin) publish Ikechukwu Ikeji's story without due credit given to ALEDEH (www.aledeh.com) as the Source? You don't expect ALEDEH (www.aledeh.com) reporters to stay awake, get info, make calls, visits, confirm and reconfirm a story before going to the press, only for you to wake up from bed without moving a finger and pick the same story hours later with the same lines and claim it's yours. What do you call this? Journalism? Big shame on you. Certainly, this is not the dream of the founding legend of Tribune Newspaper. A lot of folks do this. But my publisher(Mr. Sulaiman Aledeh), tells me to ignore them. But I think its time I addressed this nonsense. ALEDEH (www.aledeh.com) broke the news on the appointment of Prof. Moji Christianah Adeyeye as the new NAFDAC DG on Friday, November 10 before the official announcement of her appointment was made on Tuesday, November 14 by the Presidency. This same story, DailyPost NG, Linda Ikeji and a host of others published it without giving credit to ALEDEH (www.aledeh.com) as the Source. This isn't journalism. Where I was trained in the rudiments of journalism /mass communication (the prestigious Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos Nigeria) we don't call this journalism. I am Philips Sunday and I am pushing this hashtag: #StopJunkJournalism to all Nigerian journalists and bloggers. In fact, the bloggers are a case for another day. Sincerely we must #StopJunkJournalism. Once a colleague then lifted from TheCable without credit and today the person is an ex colleague. If you are an editor or an online publisher and you can't give credit to ALEDEH (www.aledeh.com) as the Source on an exclusive story please don't publish the story on your platform. Be Warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Understanding a politician in a modern day state is like a breastfeeding mother trying to figure out why her infant cries uncontrollably every time despite not having a known illness. Like this is a herculean task for mothers to figure out, same is to non-politicians who the politicians depend on for votes. The life of a politician is like that of a chameleon to the masses. Today a political figure might be applauded, the next minute he or she might be stoned by the constituents. Can a politician satisfy all at once? to the masses, the answer is yes because they feel it’s their right but to the politician, it’s a no because he or she knows it’s difficult to do that due to some hindrances only seen when you are at the receiving end. Though some politicians are showered with love while in office, others receive or experience love when they are out of office, no thanks to those who replace them. It is rare to find a politician who praises his/ her predecessor except the predecessor is from the same political party with the politician. Some go to the extent of discrediting their predecessor despite the achievements that might have been recorded by that person while in office. The change of government in Nigeria in 2015, came with a bulk of “blame games”, same with the change of government in the United States. While this “blame game” most times is just to gain political points, it goes a long way to further confuse the citizens who at that point might be trying to understand “politics and politicians”. The politics of Africa especially the Nigerian politics is one that gains serious attention from the international community, this was shown during the 2015 Presidential election in Nigeria. While Nigeria is of utmost importance to the international community, Rivers state, Southern Nigeria is one state the Nigerian government does not joke with, this might be due to the natural resources in this state especially crude oil, which is Nigeria’s main source of revenue. Though both the immediate past governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi and the incumbent governor, Nyesom Wike has thrown banters at each other periodically, it is important to state that they have both performed well but are also lacking behind in some areas. A fact check reveals that Amaechi became a governor through the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but defected to APC later, while Wike came into power under PDP. Unfortunately, the PDP/APC “blame games” at the Federal level has not helped the politics of Rivers state. Late last year, top political actors in the country called for a “State of Emergency” in Rivers state for a reason they described as “unsafe and ungovernable”, with some giving the governor an unsavoury name. However, in all forms of communication, knowing who you are talking to, how they think and what they want is crucially important. People often unrealistically expect politicians to be able to solve their problems, not understanding what different politicians can actually do, either within government, a political party or in the community. Having an understanding of exactly what politicians can and can’t do is crucial. Despite rumours to the contrary, politicians are as human as the rest of us and have similar emotional feelings like we do. By understanding what politicians want you will be able to engage with them more productively. Politicians get asked to do multiple things every day. Some of these issues are extremely complex and some have no solution. There’s nothing an under-pressure politician likes more than being a simple request that they can respond to an action immediately. It’s worth keeping this in mind before labelling a politician as “unproductive or a thug” when they act in a way you never expected. This is the more reason many must know the “Soft Side” of Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State. Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has condemned the manner in which the media has handled the outbreak of Monkeypox virus in the country. Nigeria’s burgeoning integrated online media platform, ALEDEH has uncovered massive fraud and corruption in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) under the leadership of the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration, Muhammad Babandede. Just like the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) under IGP Ibrahim Idris which we scooped in September 2017, and many other public institutions, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) under Muhammad Babandede leadership stinks of infernal corruption ALEDEH can report. Babandede, who was appointed as the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration May 15, 2016, by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace Mr. Martin Kure Abeshi, had promised to rid the "service off corruption" but the reverse is the case as ALEDEH has uncovered "corruption unlimited" at the Service under his watch. Investigations carried out by ALEDEH, reveals that a lot of illegalities are currently going on at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport located in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria's commercial city as well as Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city as NIS officials go on rampage; collecting illegal levies from unsuspicious foreigners. The Nigerian Immigration ACT 2015 sighted by ALEDEH, says anybody who overstays or commits an immigration offence will be deported and that the deportation is at the cost of the Federal Government through the Minister of Interior with no fine in the sum of $1,000 attached. However, findings by ALEDEH reveals that some foreigners who have overstayed in Nigeria are made to pay the sum of $1,000 at the airport by immigration officers on their way out of the country. "A case of this nature occurred sometimes ago when some Chinese nationals who have overstayed in Nigeria and were returning back to their country, were made to pay $1,000 before leaving despite booking their tickets already", a source told ALEDEH. Another source who is a top-ranked officer in the NIS told ALEDEH that: "They collect close to $100,000 daily but remit within $1,000 to $2,000 in a day into NIS account and not the Federation Account. This NIS account the source said is operated by few NIS staff under the control of the Comptroller General of the Service, Babandede. Our source stressed that: "the same money, the one they agree to pay into the NIS account does not end up in the Federation's Account. If by chance they pay five of that fine into NIS account maybe one or two in a week will end up in the federation's account so why are we watching one individual tarnishing the image of Nigeria, defrauding Nigeria visitors", the furious officer questioned. The source further said that: "at the end of the day giving us a bad image especially knowing well that Nigerian population is mobile, Nigerian population is everywhere in the world. As I talk to you Foreign Affairs Ministry is in receipt of a letter of protest of other countries we have bilateral or multilateral agreements with because some of these things being done they didn't take into consideration the bilateral or multilateral agreements, now the whole world is threatening to retaliate on Nigerians", the source lamented. Investigations by ALEDEH, however, reveals that the $1,000 is being collected till date by Immigration officers without any law backing such fee neither is the NIS ACT as sighted by ALEDEH is backing it. Like the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) promotion scandal uncovered by ALEDEH in our Exclusive story titled: " Promotion Fraud In The Nigerian Police Plus Those “Controlling” The IGP", which was published September 22, 2017, ALEDEH has again uncovered another promotion scandal in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). ALEDEH gathered that most special promotions in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) under the leadership of the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration, Muhammad Babandede is purchased and not merited. Findings by ALEDEH reveals that most officers get promoted in the Nigerian Immigration after paying N500,000 or N1 million for such promotion. Similarly, ALEDEH gathered that some Nigerians pay as much as N50,000 to N100,000 to get the Nigerian passport. This sleaze is a hurricane that sweeps across all NIS offices across the nation, ALEDEH can authoritatively report. Sources tell ALEDEH that some PPP contracts entered into by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) are illegal. Another NIS source who is in the Passport Department of the Service told ALEDEH that illegalities and fraud have gotten to an embarrassing height especially in the issuance of Passports. The leader of the defunct Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Front, (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, says Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari was cloned in London, United Kingdom, where he spent 103 days on medical vacation. The former Niger Delta militant leader predicated his claim on the manner in which the President delivered his Independent Day speech. Dokubo said while the President was reading his speech, it would be observed that the “man they have in Aso Rock” was “trying to mimic the original” Buhari. In a seven-minute, forty-seven seconds video which surfaced online on Monday, Dokubo said, “A lot of people have been wishing me happy Independence but I told them not to because I’m not a Nigerian. “So this man they have in Aso Rock was speaking, even from his voice, you will know that he was cloned. Al-Mustapha who in 2013 said he had no intention to venture into politics, announced officially in April that the party will be called Green Party of Nigeria (GPN). Nigeria's burgeoning online platform, ALEDEH has uncovered massive fraud, corruption and favouritism in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris. Apart from the allegations of N120 billion levelled against the IGP by Senator Isah Missau, ALEDEH gathered that a lot of senior Police officers are due for promotion but have not been promoted. While they lament, they say others not ripe for such promotion are smiling wearing their new ranks which for some have come on a yearly basis. While IGP Idris is seen by many as the man in-charge of the Nigerian Police, investigations by ALEDEH reveals that there are three (3) right-hand men of the IGP who dictate to him what should be done by the Police number one man in the country. Among these three men is Ndamon Ndayako, a cousin brother to the IGP. Ndayako is known as the Civilian Inspector General of Police because of the power he wields. Like Ndayako, Abdulrahaman Satumari, a friend to the IGP based in Abuja, Nigeria's capital and Dan Galadima Peters wield same power. ALEDEH gathered that IGP Idris takes actions in the Force based on the recommendations of these three men without investigation and consultation. Our Sources reveal that the IGP buys tickets for the three men to fly with him anytime he has an official assignment outside the country. Another man who wields same power like the three men in the Nigerian Police Force is a gentleman simply known as "Barrister Emmanuel", an alleged Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on legal matters who is based in Maryland, Lagos state, Nigeria's commercial city. Investigations carried out by ALEDEH, reveals that Barr. Emmanuel lobbied for one Garuba Bala to be made the Commander Mopol 19 in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital with negotiation fee of N5 million to be paid in return. ALEDEH gathered that this negotiation fee of N5 million is paid to Barr. Emmanuel monthly by Garuba Bala. The said Barr. Emmanuel was living in a rented apartment in Maryland, Lagos state early 2016 but now has a furnished duplex in the same Maryland with three exotic jeeps and police mobile guiding his house. ALEDEH gathered that the three squadrons of Mopol 22 guiding Barr. Emmanuel were promoted to the next rank. Investigations by ALEDEH reveal that once an officer is recommended for promotion by Barr. Emmanuel to the IGP, he or she gets promoted. Read More: https://aledeh.com/exclusive-the-three-men-directing-nigerian-police-affairs-plus-promotion-fraud-in-the-force/

The political career of Dino Melaye, Senator representing Kogi West, is currently hanging in the balance after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) On Monday, September 18, released a new timetable for the recall of the lawmaker. ALEDEH recalls that the first timetable released by the electoral umpire based on the request to recall the lawmaker by his constituents, became invalid when a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital ordered all parties to the issue to maintain status quo. September 11, another Federal High Court dismissed a suit by the lawmaker challenging his recall process, instituted by his constituents. Justice Nnamdi Dimgba who presided over the matter ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, “shall proceed with the recall process.” ALEDEH recalls that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator had approached the court seeking an order nullifying the recall process. Against this backdrop, the court had ordered the electoral umpire INEC to halt the recall exercise, pending the determination of Melaye’s application. But presiding over the matter September 11, Justice Dimgba said contrary to Melaye’s argument that he was not granted a fair hearing, the constitution does not require a special provision that mandates INEC to grant the lawmaker an opportunity of fair hearing. The court ordered INEC to serve the lawmaker with the recall petition, schedule of signatures attached to the petitions and a full list of persons in support of the recall process. Today, the electoral umpire released a new timetable for Melaye’s recall in a statement issued by INEC Secretary, Augusta C. Ogakwu. Just a month after Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Kpotum Idris had warned that officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) caught in the act of bribery and corruption would be thrown out of the Force, the latter has been accused of corruption by a former Police officer. In July, while addressing Deputy Inspector-Generals, Assistant Inspectors-General and Commissioners of Police at a conference at the force headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, IGP Idris had charged them to be civil in relating with members of the public and respect their socio-cultural values, adding that officers caught in the act of bribery and corruption would be thrown out of the force. “The era of bribery and corrupt practices in the police circle was over. Any act of misconduct could throw you out of the force. “Any senior police officer found to be engaged in corrupt practices will face the full wrath of the law and would be sanctioned appropriately,” those were the exact words of the IGP on Monday, July 31, 2017. Probably when the IGP made that statement, he never knew he would have to face the music should he be found wanting. Towards the end of July, a picture of the IGP holding “No To Corruption” went viral on the internet, the picture alone gave a strong warning against corrupt practices in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as its number one man (IGP Idris) was believed to be against the act before the N120 billion bribery allegation by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy and Senator representing Bauchi Central, Isah Misau surfaced. In August, Senator Misau alleged that IGP Idris collected an annual sum of about N120bn as payment for special security services rendered by the police to corporate organisations and very important personalities, adding that over 50,000 personnel involved in such act had not been benefitting from the money. Misau, who is a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, had also alleged that the special promotion of officers by the force was fraught with corruption, an allegation IGP Idris subsequently set a panel to investigate, which ALEDEH reported. Just as Nigerians were celebrating the return of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire as reported by ALEDEH, we can authoritatively tell you that the family quiz game show will not be returning with the versatile talent Frank Edoho. Frank Edoho who has been the anchor since the inception of the game show which started 13years ago, in October of 2004, has revealed via micro blogging site Twitter that he has “decided to decline to host WWTBAM any further today. Prompted by his tweet today, ALEDEH placed a call to Mr Edoho on the development. “We didn’t reach a mutual agreement on a new contract. That’s all.” Frank Edoho who obviously is one of Nigeria’s most interactive celebrity on Twitter took time to react to questions and comments asked by his fans and followers. Obviously irked by news in some gossip site that he was dropped by the management of Ultima he said the era of being silent and letting falsehood about him go viral was over as he will be willing to “unleash evidence if the source says otherwise” When asked if he was dropped as reported by some, he chuckled and said ”I have not even spoken to anyone but you(ALEDEH) and I wonder where they got all that from. I have all my facts and evidence to show that it was as I have stated, we didn’t agree on new terms.” A check by ALEDEH reveals a change his profile on Twitter indicating his or her areas of proficiency unknown to some. Asked what we should be expecting from him, he said “you will be the first to know when that time comes”. https://aledeh.com/exclusivewwtbam-returns-without-frank-edoho/

Reactions have continued to trail the 4-0 thumping of Arsenal Football Club by Liverpool FC in the match day 3 of the English Premier League which was played on Sunday at Anfield, Liverpool's home ground. Recall that ALEDEH had reported earlier that Liverpool picked up where they left off against Hoffenheim in midweek as they ripped Arsenal apart with their scintillating football with Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and substitute Daniel Sturridge all scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s side to end the game 4-0 for Liverpool in what appeared to be another miserable night for Wenger. After the defeat, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger labeled Arsenal’s performance against Liverpool “absolutely disastrous” and “unacceptable”. Speaking at the post-match press Wenger said: “The result is a consequence of our performance. We were not good enough. We were beaten everywhere physically, in the end I believe we made it easier for them, and the mistakes gave them a cushion. “It was shocking [conceding a second before half-time] but our performance was absolutely disastrous. Not to become too emotional, we have to take some distance, and there are some reasons behind it, and the players now go on their international break, but we do have to take the consequences of our performance today. If you find a manager who is happy with that performance today, I wish you good luck. The emotions are negative, but it’s not the right moment to talk about that,” the Frenchman added. Wenger was booed by sections of the away support when he stepped into his technical area for the first time in the second half. On the hostile reception he said: “I don’t want to answer that. That’s part of the crowd’s feelings. If I am the problem, I am sorry, but I believe all together we lose. The only thing we can do is come back and give them a better level of performance.” In a bit to connect football with politics, Nigerians took to micro blogging site, Twitter after the game to compare Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger to Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari. Nigerians are of the opinion that Arsenal's poor performance this season sums up the situation in Nigeria under President Buhari's leadership.
