Thank you so much and I wish you a safe delivery.

The baby’s birth certificate was ready in less than a week but we had to make corrections to the name, so I had extra four days added due to the whole notary process of changing the certificate information. I haven’t received the SSN yet (we suspect this was caused by the name change) but another mama that delivered a month before me at the same hospital received her baby’s SSN in one week. I called on a Wednesday and got an appointment for the Friday of that week i.e two days later. The passport came in 28 days afterwards (less than a month actually). I paid for the expedited process and the express post at the post office.

Hello! I ended up using U of M in La plata and it cost 17k in total (included hospital, physician, anesthesiologist, peds). I had a high risk pregnancy (from beginning till the end) and needed extra tests + care, so my costs were generally higher. You can also go to the U of M website, choose to view estimated bill as a guest to see what your procedure may cost.

Yes and it worked. You should also write a letter explaining that you need the passport to travel out with the baby as you are not an American resident. You and your spouse should sign the letter and insert it in the envelope along with the form and all

1)Holy Cross hospital (Dr. Moore OBGYN)
2) university of Maryland hospital
3) medstar

I’ve started visiting these places as my previous medical records were collected. I need to 5-7 days to know whether my case would be accepted.

I currently do not know the total cost implications.

I’ve always known Washington Dulles to be a stress free POE. If I may ask, were you really showing ?
As it stands the problem isn’t even with the border officers , the problem is getting a visa in naija.

Thank you very much and Amin . I’m showing. I was asked at the Abuja airport (by Qatar air staff) to provide fitness for flight because I currently look very pregnant. I prepared all docs just in case, so I showed them the doc signed by my doctor. I wasn’t asked for any doc at Dulles POE. I got my visa long before I got married, so I didn’t have visa processing issues.

Me: for a cesarean after a ***** surgery.

IM: how much do you have with you?

IM: alright follow this officer

Me: follows officer to where they made me fill a form to declare the cash.

My bags for scanned and that’s all. I was escorted by a related who was stamped in for 6 months. Mine was left open, no 6 months stamp. My visa expires feb 2021.

My advice: for those of you coming through Dulles, no need to lie. They didn’t send me away and they didn’t stress me. I didn’t have to lie.

I was at BA’s office yesterday to inquire about their tickets and all. I was informed that they are currently not flying pax with visitors visas. Only citizens and PRs can buy their tickets for now.

No BA is not a good option for now, as they wont take people with visit visa

Ethiopia, Qatar and Delta are the best options for now.

I renewed my visa this morning and was granted.
I was asked how much I earn, why I didn’t travel on my last visa, what my husband does, where I’m going to in the USA, how much I earn monthly and if I have any children. That was all (2-3 minutes).
Good luck to everyone traveling. I noticed some preggies, one was issued she’s quite big so wasn’t so noticeable and the other wasn’t given. The atmosphere wasn’t as tense as 2019 renewal. All the best to everyone looking to renew.

Please what airlines are you all using? Emirates has still not resumed operations, Qatar would go to Ghana first and delta is showing 36 whole hours for the journey!!!

CDC does NOT require travelers to undergo a mandatory federal quarantine. However, CDC recommends that unvaccinated travelers self-quarantine after travel for 7 days with a negative test and for 10 days if they don’t get tested.

Whoop, the questions seem much, but didn’t spend up to 5 min. However I was scared with the many questions, I could feel my voice cracked at one point

Background context:

I got my b1/b2 visa in London for a conference in New York, I couldn’t later attend because of lockdown. Now I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant and wanted to use the opportunity to visit and child birth. Also, I didn’t know I have a family friend in the USA during my visa application, recently got introduced to the person and I’m staying with them for the duration of my stay.

I’m really grateful for the successful entry, and thanks to everyone that share their experiences.

There is no full-proof process to it... just put your trust in God and hold enough cash
