RomanticOO7: Be calming down bro , we from Anambra knows how Apga plays it politics. APGA has always stood with the president, they stud with GEJ , they stud with GMB , even when obi was on the ticket with Atiku . We understand the games they're playing, they are always trying to avoid the fg using federal power upon them doing state elections. They do so in other to get the man at the center to be neutral doing election . It was obi who started it , he can't speak against it now .
Buh at the pulls , our votes is always different. The masses ain't playing games 😂😂😂 This one is politically naive, comparing GEJ & Buhari to Tinubu. Abeg receive sense. |

AustineE1: We go ahead and borrow 100naira from a different establishment and pay up 10naira we borrowed from another establishment and then our online media crew and political jobbers go ahead and celebrate it as big achievement. More like robbing Peter to pay Paul! This is the definition of success by APC team. Racoon: Another achievement according to the government and it hoardes of senseless zombies. Now they have robbed Peter to pay Paul, they have gone back to default mode. Always predictable as usual. Nigeria is paying.. don't worry about Nigeria, but worry about how you can improve your life beyond daily wailing and bitterness. On January 30, 2024, Nigeria paid three separate charges amounting to $822,259.40, $495,603.16, and another $495,603.16, bringing the January total to over $1.81m. These payments came months after the initial $300m and $15m disbursements made in October and November 2023, respectively.
Further charges were paid on July 15, 2024, when four separate interest payments totalling over $5.36m were recorded. The July charges included $1.98m, two entries of $1.19m each, and a separate charge of $3,737.83.
Together with the January payments, Nigeria’s total charges on the loan amounted to approximately $6,181,877.35. These interest charges were paid even as a significant portion of the loan remained undisbursed. |

HisSexcellency: @Seun, the bot is doing exactly what it was meant to do. The level of rot on this platform was worrisome. Every thread on the politics, and religion sections was automatically filled with tantrums, trolling and fight.
We need sanity here for once.
It's pitiable that a platform like nairaland with over 3 million registered users, you come online and no thread has upto 20,000 views. One can hardly find 20,000 users online at any given time in the last few years. No trolling, no tantrums, no fighting, are you joking?. You want the forum to become bland. You didn't even mention insults that's even more grave. Seun must not listen to you. |

jchioma: Rufai is a journalist and shouldn’t be attacked for expressing doubts about a report that he is not sure of the verifiable facts. Even ordinary Nigerians like me expressed doubts. Not because we detest good news from Nigeria but because we want it genuine.
And how did it go? Nigeria has yet to complete full payment. It will continue payments till 2029. So, why blame the heaters who doubt and not the propagandists. No, Rufai is not a trained journalist, he's a graduate of animal anatomy. He won't have to ride on a bike before factchecking on IMF website. |

Those who majorly supply the market are doing it out of pocket and that's why they would hike prices to recoup their investments. dey play

EndBuhariNow: All these people supporting Tinubu and his gangs of thieves are useless and stupid and don't understand the reality of life out there because they are parasite who are in one way or the other been taken care of by one relatives... How is this debts going to relieve suffering Nigeria from hardship, when is it going to reflect in our economy, I means commodities.. Tinubu fans are useless with no focus because of they are buying building materials like cement and rod or have any serious engagement with their lives, they should have known a bag of cement is 12,000 naira today and 12mm rod 10,000 naira... Very soon you will start living in the trees like monkeys when the reality will fall on each an everyone of u I am not surprised this is coming from someone supporting a fraud that increased poverty from 25% to 53% in Anambra. If they heard that loans from IMF was increased, they would be the first to start dancing around on social media, bitter people. |

Lanruze: The Debt Management Office is the go-to-agency which has the current stats and debt portfolio of the country and indeed our debt profile has increased from May 29, 2023 to Q1 2025.
May 29, 2023. = N91 trillion debt approx March 2025 (Q1) = N141 trillion debt approx
N50 trillion additional debt from both domestic and foreign international lenders.
@ legend hero,
The IMF milestone is an achievement but we need to to be concerned about oil production in April 2025 at 1.5m bpd and crude at $60 per barrel.
The budget deficit if production is not ramped up may throw us into another set of borrowings or what do you think ? So, you didn't factor in exchange rate differential. |
