doggedfighter:The message of Christ is foolishness to the perishing... but the power of God unto salvation to them that believe... Whosoever believeth in Jesus Christ shall not be condemned... faith in his finished work which comprises his death burial and resurrection, is what saves a man from destruction which Man caused for himself! |
FERNANDEZISBACK:The major reason for atheism is religion, superstition, dejection and rejection by the circular world, laziness in life which makes one believe that they need God to throw money from heaven before they eat food, and when it doesn't come sentiments sets in and they conclude that God Hates them and then formulate the mindset that there's no God just to spite the Almighty God, others out of excitement of science which was created in time dives into an endless study to discover a God that exists outside time, no wonder the bible calls them fools...every man is a product of influence including the man that believes that no one can influence him... In summary what God has offered to mankind in Christ is a radical love expressed in the death of Jesus for Gods enemies to be saved from destruction which they created by themselves... moreso Jesus rose from the dead and has made an offer of life everlasting to everyone that believes...if you believe then you are justified from all things! The gospel has been served! |

Vs 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Vs 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. Vs 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Recall that the phrase “he shall receive” implied literally “to take from,” or to take of.” See how it was used in John 6. John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Vs 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Vs 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Vs 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. Notice the “criteria” in receiving from the following phrases. “...If any man eat of this bread...” “...eat the flesh...” “... drink the blood... ” Obviously these phrases figurative expressions used by Jesus to explain the role of the recipient in receiving what would be made available upon his death, burial and resurrection. Thus, believing is an activity that shows that there is a responsibility on the part of the recipient to receive what the Father gave the son. The day a man believes and receives, is not the day God gave. The recipient has only taken advantage of what has already been given. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. The phrase “you shall receive” also literally implies “to take advantage of” what has been given. In other words, Jesus says “you shall take advantage of...” Hence it is the responsibility of every believer to consciously receive in prayer *CONFESSION* I choose to take advantage of what is rightfully mine in Christ. |

James is talking about the character of God. He does not unbraid He gives liberally. That implies that the focus of the one asking in prayer should be on the character of God. James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. He mentions that the prayer of a righteous man makes power available. Notice in context of James 5, that he also spoke about *the prayer of faith.* James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: Vs15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. The “*prayer of Faith*” was to explain, believers praying for one another. This further helps to see that when we ask, it is in God’s character to be consistent in giving, thus the faith in praying has to do with receiving which is dependent on the part of the one asking and not the one giving (God). In prayer, faith is not required in asking but in receiving. That is, faith is not needed to get to God. We see that James 1:5 does not mention faith. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. If God is going to give, he is not looking for a condition for why he should give. He gives to all men liberally. Hence God gives because of his character. There are no qualifications. All it takes is the mouth – to make a request. James says he that asks should not waver. So faith is the receiver not the ‘asker’ in prayer. CONFESSION The Father does not give based on condition. He gives to all men freely. There are no qualifications to asking. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjjWdtD-2yc *CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL* *DR ABEL DAMINA* *MARCH 04* *EXPERIENCES VERSUS THE WRITTEN WORD* If God is responsible for leading us, then we need to know a few things about him. There are some key things about him. Most people have learnt to know God by experiences. Hence their knowledge of God is mixed with their faith, their unbelief, their love, hate, carnality, spirituality and other things. Certainly, this is not good as a person may not be able to pick out God’s will like this. You just have experiences. You say, ‘eventually I got there’. So sometimes we allow our experiences and that’s why we must put the written word first above all In understanding the leading of God’s spirit, the first and most primary thing a believer must know when it comes to God’s leading is that he does not lead outside the written word. God’s mind is already contained in the written Word hence a believer’s attitude and knowledge of the written word is basically how much of God’s leading he will follow. Jesus was referred to as the word of God John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Vs 2 The same was in the beginning with God. Vs 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. Vs 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. He is God’s wisdom for salvation. 1st Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: Obviously, THE WISDOM OF GOD IS IN THE CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS. He is the intelligence of God. That is where God showed that the wisdom of this world is foolishness, The wisdom of this world has no knowledge of God in it, but the believer has received the wisdom of God, in his spirit, Christ has been made unto him wisdom. It is important for a believer to get himself acquainted with the written word. In the various instances where Jesus had to answer questions he never spoke from experiences or encounters rather he points attention to the written word and also taught from it. OBSERVE THAT Paul in his writing emphasized reading, and the document to be read in this context is definite. Ephesians 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Colossians 4:16 And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. *Note that every teaching or explanation that relates to the believer must be from the written word, no matter the concept.* *Hence when a man is given to the reading of the scriptures it will give birth to knowledge in knowing and following the leading of God’s spirit.* |

For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.* *Vs 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.* *Vs 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.* James’s words in the aforementioned texts show that prayer goes beyond making requests unto God. It also involves receiving from God. In other words, receiving is part of prayer. James was very clear on why the brother who asked will not receive… …let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. He explains ‘’wavering” as being double minded in verse 8. The word “wavering” implies to judge; to separate thoroughly between two things or opinions; to dispute. This means it can either be in the positive or negative. It is often used for deciding between two things. It was used in James 2:4. James 2:4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. In essence, James explains the term “wavering” as an act of unbelief. Why will the brother waver? The focus of the context of James 1:5-7 is the character of God. Hence the wavering is about the character of God. Notice how the character of God is described. • He gives to all men liberally, without finding faults. Thus, James explained God as a giving God, who does not find fault or blame before He gives. • He does not tempt with evil; - circumstances that drive the believer to pray was not God tempting the man with evil • He is without variableness or shadow of turning (James 1:17) • He does not change • He is our Father *Confession* *God is my Father. I am a son, I have access to the Father. My focus is on the character of the Father when I pray. When I ask in prayer, I receive* |
Maynman:I'm now convinced that there's a hearing disorder. Even from what I wrote you couldn't pick the gist... but how can you comprehend when you already have a mindset that is messed up with bits of information here and there... for the avoidance of doubt concerning your sight I'll use capital letters... JESUS IS GOD JUST LIKE SOTERIA WAS USED TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE PURPOSE OF CHRIST WAS IN SALVATION,KURIOS WAS USED TO COMMUNICATE HIS TRIUMPH OVER DEATH... THEREFORE ONLY AN IGNORANT PERSON WILL CONCLUDE THAT BECAUSE KURIOS WAS USED TO ADDRESS JESUS IT MEANS THAT HE IS A POLITICAL RULER OR GOVERNMENT... AND I'M SURE YOU DO NOT ALSO KNOW THAT THAT NEW TESTAMENT BOOKS WHERE WRITTEN IN GREEK LANGUAGE. |
Maynman:Do not allow illiteracy UnCloth you in the public my good friend....in English studies which is fundamental in schools one of the first topics taught is "reading skills" and even "listening skills".... but over the time it was discovered that there's a hearing disorder called selective hearing or selective reading...it makes the reader or hearer choose only what they want to see and use it to back up there nuances... otherwise someone that wants to fully digest the word soteria would intelligently find out that many other countries like the Romans also had it in their mythology and it was used as a mode of communicating the purpose of Christ as the savior of the world... My advice: don't rush to comment in public space on a matter you are ignorant on, otherwise young people who are very smart and intelligent on such matters will end up messing up with your ignorance in the public... this is worthy of note Jesus Christ is lord. |

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Vs 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: The essence of the ministry gift is for the edifying of the body of Christ. Then, we pray for the ministers, for utterance and boldness Ephesians 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, Colossians 4:3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: Vs 4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
