• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • YOU HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD Fundamental to note also in understanding the leading of the Spirit is that God has given every believer His Spirit. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. We are His. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.] We are Led by His Spirit. He will not lead us anymore than He has led us. "Led "here carries the thought of union with another . 'His Spirit' used above is a very strong word. It infers and implies partnership, fellowship, oneness. It is important to note that the Spirit dwelling in man was a prophecy under the Old Covenant Ezekiel 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. Vs 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Vs 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. This promise of the Spirit was fulfilled in Christ and received by faith in the gospel. The minute a man believes the gospel, he receives the Spirit of God. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Paul emphasised to the Corinthian Church this fact 1st Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1st Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1st Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? This was in spite of the correction he had given them earlier in the same letter. 1st Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. They still had the Spirit of God. It is a never ending fact. A believer must accept this fact, revel in it, hold on to the knowledge of it irrespective of what happens. It is what gives us the confidence of God’s leading everyday and all the time. CONFESSION: I have the Spirit of God. It is a never ending fact. The Spirit of God is in me now and forever. |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • THE BELIEVER IS LIGHT It is important firstly for the believer to recognise his identity; who he is. Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light Vs 9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. This shows that the believer is now light in Him. The Originals of verse 9 is rendered Fruit of the Light. We have the fruit of the Light. Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated] us [into the kingdom of his dear Son:] We have been delivered from darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of Sons which shows that we have taken the identity of our new nation. It's a kingdom of Sons and we are the Sons. Since a nation is made up of its citizens. 1st Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light Peter calls it marvellous. This means full of wonders, miracles. 1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. John helps us see a fundamental fact about God here, there's no darkness in him at all. He is only Light. This must certainly also be seen in his offspring. Paul explains even further. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Believers are called Light. Light means direction. It never lacks it. It gives direction. From the foregoing, it is clear that we have since left the path of confusion. This means a believer is never without what to do and how to do it. We are in Him. Direction is our inheritance in Christ. We don't pray for direction. It's ours . We, however, only pray to know it. That is, to see it and walk in it. Believers are called Light. Light means direction. It never lacks it. It gives direction. CONFESSION: I recognise who I am. I am light in Christ. I do not walk in darkness |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2020 • THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. This is the first place where the word righteousness was used in the Bible. This law of first mention is very important for it carries in it the flow of the truth. Hence, it is a law of regularity and shows how the word will be used subsequently. A man thus will become righteous by following the step of Abraham. Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Vs 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. Vs 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Vs 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Vs 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Vs 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. The righteousness by faith is a gift of no condemnation. How that a man's sin will not be counted against him because Jesus has paid for it. 2nd Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation… Vs 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Confession: I have received the gift of no condemnation. I cannot come into condemnation; I have passed from death to life. BLESSINGS! |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • SATURDAY, MAY 02, 2020 • THE REALITY OF OUR REDEMPTION Having established redemption and how Jesus achieved it, we have seen that the believer’s role in redemption is to believe the gospel. The believer did not have to work for it- it is God’s doing from start to finish. Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. The believer’s responsibility must be to have a complete understanding of every good thing which is in him in Christ. Having understood this, the believer must then continue to speak concerning all that Christ has done. He has to constantly confess all that Christ has done. There would be times when even fellow believers would bring contrary information to what Christ has done and tell the believer he needs to do something to stay redeemed or to confess his sins to stay saved; at this time, the believer needs to put the word of God on his lips in order to build confidence in the word. The believer’s responsibility must be, to take the word of God as true and speak concerning what Christ has done. So, at every point the believer must hold God’s word as it is in truth concerning redemption. He must say I am the redeemed, my sins have been paid for forever. Nothing is required of me. My conscience has been purged from dead works to serve the living God. Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. The words, “giving thanks to his name” means confessing his name. That is, the believer would say what the word has said concerning him continually. The reality of redemption is such that the believer must see beyond all reasonable doubt, beyond the experiences of man and even his own, that what Christ did is once and for all and for that reason, he is redeemed once and for all. CONFESSION: My sins are forgiven forever. The redemption I have is forever. It is not temporal and it has no expiry date. Hallelujah! |
YorubaKinging:Antichrist is a present reality oppression of believers globally, I hope study your Bible carefully so you can stop debasing the Christian faith! |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2020 • UNDERSTANDING THE OLD AND NEW COVENANTS IN CHRIST(10) John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Vs 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Why is it eternal life? It is because it is an eternal covenant. The gift of that eternal covenant is an eternal spirit. That understanding should make us change the songs that we sing. Our songs must carry the reality of the fact that we now have eternal life. I have life in the son. 1st John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He gave his only begotten son to me. I will not perish. I have eternal life. I take God at his word. Quit having a bipolar image of God. God is not cool in the evening and angry in the mornings. He is not a schizophrenic personality. Jesus is God’s sacrifice for sins. He is our Passover lamb. 1st Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: I have eternal life. Israel began on the day of Pentecost. The church began on the day of Pentecost. That Pentecost was Jesus’ Pentecost. Moses’ Pentecost killed people. Jesus’ Pentecost gave life. The church began when Jesus shed his blood in heaven and poured out his spirit. The new testament is a covenant of the spirit of Christ, who is called the spirit of God. Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Vs 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. "Flesh" in Romans 8:8 refers to the nature of sinners. Personalise verse 9- I am not in the flesh but in the spirit. They that are in the flesh cannot please God. Being in the flesh is state of being, not a set of actions. They that are in the flesh is the state of a man in the flesh, which does not please God. What will please God is the spirit. Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. We are in him today. Jesus gave us his spirit. We can say that God gave us the spirit of his well-pleased son. We are not in the flesh but in the spirit. If you are in the spirit, you have pleased God. We are sons of God today. Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness… Vs 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. What is the fruit of the new covenant today? Sonship. The old covenant produced servants. The New covenant produced sons. We are sons. I am a son of God today. Confession: I am born of God! He is my Father; He loves me and is NOT angry at me. I know Him and He knows me. |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • • THE NEW BIRTH: BEING BORN OF THE SPIRIT The first fact that we need to examine with regard to the indwelling spirit as explained by “residence” and “permanence” is the new birth. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Vs 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Vs 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Vs 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Vs 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Vs 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Jesus’ explanation of the new birth (being born again) was in response to a question posed by Nicodemus. In verse 3 he stated that a man cannot see the kingdom of God except he is “born again.” This led Nicodemus to ask if a man can be born a second time by his mother (verse 4) pointing to how he must have assumed that being born “again” should have referred to being born “a second time.” However Jesus’ explanation in the next set of verses clarified this thought pattern. Jesus in verse 5 explained that except a man is born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God, in line with what he had said in verse 3. The word “water” here was used by Jesus to symbolically refer to the work of the spirit at the new birth. This is very similar to how he spoke in John 4:14 and John 7:37-39. Recall also, that Ezekiel in his prophecy employed the use of water to explain the work of the spirit. Thus for John 3:5, we can understand the word “and” as explanatory (where one term describes the other) rather than as a conjunction (for two distinct things). Hence John 3:5 can be better understood as saying “except a man be born of water and (THAT IS or WHICH IS) the spirit…” This is seen further in the proceeding verses in which the term “spirit” was emphasized: Verse 6: “…that which is born of the spirit is spirit” Verse 8: “….such is every one that is born of the spirit” Thus we can understand that being born again as used by Jesus (verse 3) refers to being born of the spirit. This is the NEW BIRTH, Moreover, the word “again” as applied by Jesus refers to being born from above. This implies that being born again has to do with a different, new kind of birth, and not being born (in/of the flesh) a second time as assumed by Nicodemus. The new birth therefore is to be born of the spirit. The believer therefore, is one who is born of the spirit. Paul also elucidated this reality in his letter to Titus: Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; He used the terms: “the washing of regeneration” and “renewing of the Holy Ghost” not to describe two events or concepts but one and the same thing. The word “washing” here implies a cleansing, while the word “regeneration” implies new beginning; this he also referred to as the renewing of the Holy Ghost. The word “renewing” implies that what is being spoken about had no prior existence. These are terms or concepts that describe the new birth or being born again which is to be born of the spirit. We can therefore see that every believer has been born again and that the new birth actually implies to be born of the spirit. The implication of this will be seen in the fact that at the new birth, a man receives the spirit and this is an eternal reality! Confession: “I am born again, I am born anew, I am born of the spirit. Therefore I have the spirit, which lives in me forever” |

• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2020 • JUSTIFICATION Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Deuteronomy 30:11-15 Moses described the righteousness, which is of the law and the righteousness of the faith of Christ. Romans 3:20 …By the works of the law nobody is justified in his sight. Vs 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: You can't be justified by God and by the law at the same time. This justification is free, it places no demands on the person in question. Vs 26 To declare, [I say,] at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. God doesn't justify works. He justifies faith, and this is not as an after thought. Vs 30 Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and circumcision through faith. Justification is only by faith. It’s the character of God that man is justified by faith. Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath [whereof] to glory; but not before God Trying to be justified by works is futility with God. He justifies the ungodly. Who called Abraham ungodly? Not God. He doesn’t find fault. It was the law that labeled him ungodly. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ This is the original plan, not an afterthought. Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. He justifies by faith. It’s the law that lays a charge. Paul is making a distinction between the law and God. Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? [It is] God that justifieth. So righteousness through the law cannot be the same as the righteousness of God. God has never placed any demands on man to be perfect. It’s a wrong notion to say that God only brought justification when man didn't meet the standards he set. It’s not true! God has always been the provider of all that man needed and he provided ahead of time. To show his love, he leaves man with a choice to demonstrate faith or unbelief. The law justified by works while God justified by faith. Faith in Christ is therefore righteousness or right living with God. Confession: I am not justified by my own works. I am justified by his own works. He demonstrated his love that I might be righteous. God never placed any demands on me, I am righteous only by his works and not mine. |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2020 • SIN IN UNBELIEF, NOT IN CONDUCT. The believer has received the love of God; the life of Christ. He is justified by faith in Christ alone and not of works. All he has received in Christ is FREE. Romans 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, There is a righteousness that God imputes, that God counts. Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God. Where is the Righteousness of God revealed? In the gospel. How? By faith - Romans 1, 16- 17. Romans 3:26 To declare, [I say,] at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. …That he might be just – In His declaration he is just. In other words the only people he justified are those that believe. That is how he imputes his own righteousness. Romans 8:10 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness What Righteousness? The Righteousness of God which is by Faith. Romans 10:3 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness Recall that the righteousness of God which is by faith is revealed through the Gospel of His son. Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; The word “Without” implies apart from the Law, that is, you will not find it in the law. That same word was used in Romans 3:28 as well. Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. A man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Romans 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works; That is there’s no works in what he is saying. Romans 7:8 For without the law sin was dead. Romans 5:13 For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Sin wasn’t charged to anyone’s account. What was imputed at the time was righteousness through faith. Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; By saying without the Law, he was referring to before and after the law was given. As a result, righteousness cannot be defined in the law. Notice that the Gospel of God was promised by his prophets. Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, Vs 2 Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures. In other words, Righteousness has always been in the Gospels. It was seen either as a promise or as a fulfilment. Righteousness therefore, is a function of the gospel. The Gospel which was first in a promissory note, was then fulfilled when Christ came. Hence, the promise was fulfilled. So the promise of the Gospel – Righteousness through Faith is received by believing in the gospel of his son. (Jesus) Confession : I have received the love of God and the life of God. The love God has shown me is that I am justified by his faith and not of my works. I am a recipient of his grace. I am declared righteous on his own account. |
• CHRISTOCENTRIC MEAL • DR ABEL DAMINA • MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2020 • HOW ABOUT CONFESSION OF SINS? This concept has been bandied before many believers today. While some say it is not needed to be saved, some agree and say it is however needed to maintain your salvation. That is, to remain redeemed, one has to confess sins regularly. First thing to know is this: confession of sins is an Old Testament concept. Leviticus 16:21 and Aaron shall lay his hands on the head of the live goat, and he shall confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their unrighteousness, and all their sins; and he shall lay them upon the head of the live goat, and shall send him by the hand of a ready man into the wilderness. We see a requirement for individual confession of sins. • Leviticus 5:5 • Leviticus 26:40 • Numbers 5:7 In examining the epistles however, there are no instructions to believers to confess sins to God. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 1st John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1st John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. Our confession in the New Testament is Jesus (all that he has done for us and is doing in and through us). He was made sin, so we are not to confess our sins but to confess what he did to, and for our sins; He paid for and took it away eternally by the sacrifice of himself. (We would examine 1st John 1:9 later). As we saw previously when explaining how a man is saved, the word “confession” implies to say the same things in agreement. So, what the believer confesses is what Christ has done for sins, and not a confession of sins. CONFESSION: I confess that I am the redeemed of God and I stand forgiven forever. My sins have been forgiven in Christ. |

Are you people scared that the world is coming to an end, do you feel like this is the worst disease outbreak?? No, it's not close to even top 20 epidemics. Let me share with you the world's worst pandemics of all times. 1. *ANTONINE_PLAGUE* This occurred in 165AD and claimed 5 million lives. It swept over Asia, Egypt, Greece and Italy. Just in case you think it's the first time Italy is leading. 2. *PLAGUE_OF_JUSTINIAN.* It occurred btn 541 to 542, just in 1 year 25 million people were dead. Each day, death toll counted 10,000. 3. *THE_FLU_PANDEMIC* Also known as THE *SPANISH FLU*. It was btn 1918 to 1920, just 100years ago. By that time the world had 1.5billion people, 500million got the disease and that was 1/3 of the total population. In the first week alone, there was a record 25million deaths, worse than first world war itself. Corona virus is mostly killing the elderly and those already weakened by other diseases but the Spanish flu respected no age group, it claimed 50million lives. 4. *THE_3RD_PLAGUE_OF_1855* This one also started from China and killed 10 million Indians in less than one year. You wouldn't want to hear the total number of global death. By now you want to ask me whether the world ended, the answer is it didn't, lol. 5. *THE_BLACK_DEATH.* This was by far the worst. It occurred from 1346-1353, that was 7 years long pandemic. It was caused by bubonic plague transmitted by fleas. By that time, the world's population was 400million, then 200 million died. Half of the world's population died. If the world was to end with a disease, it would end that time not with corona. It is said that during that plague, the living spent most of their time hurrying the dead in mass graves and yet others were left unburied. 6. *HIV_AIDS*. You didn't expect this one, did you? Perhaps u forgot about it but the disease still rear it's ugly head across the world. The peak record deaths was btn 2005-2012. In 7 years, 36 million people died but it didn't terrify you because it was not on news like corona. By today, corona death is not close to half a million, no. Whenever you feel frightened by corona, just know that it will never be recorded among world's top 20 pandemics, it's not close. The world is not ending with it, we shall live on. Well, people are dying but not even half will die. We shall remain. *Stay_hopeful* *Stay_positive* *Stay_home* *Stay_Safe*

LarrySun:Jesus is Life to the WORLD! |
MrBrownJay1 post=879354You are right, we can but we won't! Instead we want to hug you!!! |
MrBrownJay1:First Man by way of control has full authority on this earth vested on him by God.( Note since you are making an enquiry about God I put it to you that you have accepted to admit and agree to all the theological facts to be stated here otherwise you were doting about nothing) Second, Man was not created as a robot but as a free moral agent capable of making choices! His decision is not subject to the sovereignty of Godas seen in the book of Genesis 1:25-28. He was made capable enough to rule explore and reinvent the planet!(science and technology) He was created with enough capacity! Beyond the intellectual endowment he had an offer to fellowship with the Father by sharing in Spiritual Capabilities of the Father! It was an offer of Life as seen in Genesis He was not just to rule by his senses alone he was supposed also to receive by choice the eternal life offered to him and live in eternal fellowship with the father! He made his choice anyways! He chose death! He chose to live by his natural capabilities alone! But there are other realms beyond the natural faculties which cannot be controlled by the senses except by Union with the Father! Satan the angel that became Satan by lusting for that spiritual dominion took over through the reign of death ( see Romans 5:12...)! God foresaw the fall! He still is omniscient and still needed fellowship with Man! The plan was still the plan! He did not react! He promised the same life in the Son who is the same God manifest in the flesh, first to pay the price for sin to Sin which is death! And when he did, he defeated sin and death by rising from the dead! The sovereignty of God is confined to the boundaries of salvation! Sickness is an invention of a league between Satan and Man! The unbelieving man has authority on this earth and decides how he uses his authority! The believer is in alliance with God to stop the works of darkness through the unbelieving man! Jesus has paid for the sin of the world by dying! Satan is causing the world to pay again by making them believe that they being punished for their sins thereby denying them access to the finished work of Christ!!! Friends this is the season to tell humanity that God is not angry with them and can never be angry with them... Jesus paid it ALL!!!! |
