It's really simple. Calculate the area of your proposed building project, then subtract it from the area of the land (found in the survey plan). Y = area of land - area of building.

% of built space = Area of building x 100/ Area of land

% of free (unbuilt) space = Y x 100/Area of land

Hi sir, I really like your designs, it worth going through your thread everyday. I would like to use some of your designs for my presentation ( we are designing a housing development more or less like a mixed used development) this semester, because it seems to me you already have all the design brief my coordinator asked for ranging from Terrace building, block of flats, Semi detached and Detached buildings. I really need help, I did IT at the Ministry of Housing, Alausa because
those private firm weren't ready to intern us cos of covid.
That's why I went to MOH and the issue here now is that, MoH buildings were already existing, no single one is been built from foundation, so what we mostly do is just go for site inspection, that's all.
The only thing we did was just make a snag list (that is on site) for themselves and gave us some few designs to do on softwares.
While some weeks we could just go without doing any thing
The problem I've got now is how to feel my log book, some months, they will tell us to work from home until when it's time to go for site inspection, really need help on how to fill my log book and writing the report

Please take well detailed pictures of the roof, especially where it will be collecting water by the pipe, I want to learn a thing there
