I agree with this statement. Buhari doesn't have a targeted approach specific to almajari. He just seems cool funding education in general and doing school feeding.

Those almajari schools were handed over to the state. They didnt criticize the project or reject the handover. The issue is now the practice of almajari isnt regulated. These kids are pretty much orphans unless you believe the Imam is their guardian. States need to pull there own weight on issue. The almajari phenomenon is a Nigerian creation.

An absolutely unpleasant phenomenon lingers with the states' failure having a sustainable approach to getting the kids off the streets.
States must devise a conscious approach at curbing the growing menace through concerted efforts.
Building those schools few months to election was rather a political appeal Gej adopted to garner support base for his ambition. He did so without carrying along the states who eventually would bear the costs of funding.
