Plaintiff presumably decided this is a typical case of sunk cost fallacy and decided not to incur more expenses, mental and emotional investment into the case. Your entire point on this lacks logic. Do you even really care to know that Brabus didn’t even build a house for the complainant but was begged (I have evidence) to help rectify a bad build done by another contractor and the contract sum Irrelevant statement. LOL! You had to insert the 'begged', of course, to stroke your fragile ego. If I can take anything from that statement, it's that you probably took on a job you underestimated. Not a sign of a business man that knows what he is doing. The only fraud I see here is a man who wanted to lay claim to what he didn’t pay. Let’s start from there. Finally, you're on to something. This is the only sensible thing you have said so far. I mentioned earlier this is very likely a civil case, not a criminal case. The characterization of the event as fraud might be incorrect at least from a legal sense. A contractor can agree to do a job, job was done but with substandard materials and poor workmanship. While not technically fraud but not being honest either. With that said, there was some recording where you allegedly admit to refunding some money. To me, that's admission of guilt. Unless you want to disprove it is not your voice on those recordings. The recordings are still on the thread and YouTube. Those asking frankly stupid questions can do some reading and stop being lazy. Do you want to know the reason we went to court? It’s because they’ve tried SARS, Nigerian Army and the police but it didn’t work. It’s not easy winning a bad case. I believe you mentioned many pages ago you were arrested at least once. This is wrong in my opinion. Civil cases should not lead to an arrest. These are settled in magistrate court or small claims court. This is classic Naija-style bullying. Just pay the police to arrest anybody for any issue. The police know they can't hold anyone for a long time if not a criminal case unless they are being bankrolled by an heavyweight individual. Next thing after release from police custody is court so your point as usual is nonsense. This is no different from the man who claimed fake building plan approval all because he had land issues with a land urchin who seems to be too powerful to handle. He forgot he has once praised brabus here for the way he helped handled the LASG approval people and also recommended the same people to handle approval for his father’s project. Well, let's just say you've been embroiled in a shitload of complaints we have lost count. My question has always been the same. Tell me exactly what you paid for that I didn’t do. Just mention one and don’t cry! You always get them on a technicality, don't you? Maybe you're smart after all. My advice for people - get contract signed on paper with an attorney present. Don't be a victim to technicality. Search people's names and aliases before hiring them. For those defending their baba on the thread, I have nothing against the man but I can't say I'm surprised. Nobe the same Naija wey people go defend Dino, Tinubu, and every other politicians, yahoo boys, etc. My last piece, I know I said that the last time but this time I'm well and truly out. 8 Likes |

somehow: I tried ignoring this because you're either living in a different country or you're being willfully blind to the situation in the country. I'll take your first paragraph as nothing but boastful talk to gain internet points. Go against anybody with more means, power and time than you in Nigeria and you'll be the one in jail regardless of who's guilty or innocent. So if he stole from you, get the evidence of theft and sue him to court. Regarding your second paragraph, a search of the accused's name on google will show you he was arraigned before a magistrate court for alleged fraud, with said case reported on a national newspaper. I could be wrong but I believe the accused himself comment on this thread about said case. If you care about evidence, which I doubt you do, you'll see said case died a slow death due to the plaintiff being unavailable (lives in another country, potential lost income and more expenses attending a court case in Nigeria) for a prolonged hearing. Fraudsters are going to jail daily, let's stop giving excuses. Rather than cry online that someone stole from you, put him behind bars if he truly stole from you as long as he's reachable. I don't know which country you live in, same country where Al Mustapha, Oluomo, many ex-presidents, policemen, lecturers, primary school teachers sexually molesting kids, local iyalojas embezzling owo ajo, cultists, yahoo boys, Naira Marley, Mompha, even everyday people giving bribes, disobeying traffic laws, all of which are walking the streets free, not in jail. I know a lot of people who have committed fraud (I'm not accusing anyone of fraud, just making a point that your point is pointless, pun intended) and walking the street free. The country is a shitshow when it comes to upholding law and order. Besides, most cases of fraud in Nigeria are civil cases rather than criminal cases. Only the poor goes to jail in Nigeria. I'm not defending or making a case for either side. I'm just surprised at some of the awful defenses I have seen here. If you're going to defend something, at least do so from a logical perspective rather than making moot points that portray you as a fanboy/fangirl. somehow: Lol. Just pray and hope you don't have any issues to be resolved by the legal system in Nigeria. Do you have confidence in the legal system in the country to resolve any conflict fairly? From the police to judges to senators making laws, we all know it's a shitshow. Unfortunately, it's the only recourse we have. Nigerians typically resort to the court as a last option after all other alternatives have been exhausted. To be fair to the accused, the court option was explored and nothing came out of it. Since that's the prevailing power to determine guilt and innocence in the land, the accused has all the right to continue his business. If I was the accused, I'll find out who my accusers are and sue them for defamation, libel, slander and whatever charges that'll make them cease and desist. With that said, if I was a potential client, seeing the trails of complaints, legal cases and alleged fraud on a national newspaper, I'd be wary of doing business with anybody with this unimpressive resume.
