As the news going round that all Americans will be get relief funds from the government, I took time to look up people who are eligible to get the relief fund, the same way the Nigerian government named citizen with less than ₦5000 in their bank account. Below are some fact by the American Internal Revenue Service. Who is eligible for the economic impact payment? Tax filers with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment. For filers with income above those amounts, the payment amount is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the $75,000/$150,000 thresholds. Single filers with income exceeding $99,000 and $198,000 for joint filers with no children are not eligible. Social Security recipients and railroad retirees who are otherwise not required to file a tax return are also eligible and will not be required to file a return. Eligible taxpayers who filed tax returns for either 2019 or 2018 will automatically receive an economic impact payment of up to $1,200 for individuals or $2,400 for married couples and up to $500 for each qualifying child. How will the IRS know where to send my payment? The vast majority of people do not need to take any action. The IRS will calculate and automatically send the economic impact payment to those eligible. For people who have already filed their 2019 tax returns, the IRS will use this information to calculate the payment amount. For those who have not yet filed their return for 2019, the IRS will use information from their 2018 tax filing to calculate the payment. The economic impact payment will be deposited directly into the same banking account reflected on the return filed. The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do? In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail. I am not typically required to file a tax return. Can I still receive my payment? Yes. The IRS will use the information on the Form SSA-1099 or Form RRB-1099 to generate Economic Impact Payments to recipients of benefits reflected in the Form SSA-1099 or Form RRB-1099 who are not required to file a tax return and did not file a return for 2018 or 2019. This includes senior citizens, Social Security recipients and railroad retirees who are not otherwise required to file a tax return. Since the IRS would not have information regarding any dependents for these people, each person would receive $1,200 per person, without the additional amount for any dependents at this time. I have a tax filing obligation but have not filed my tax return for 2018 or 2019. Can I still receive an economic impact payment? Yes. The IRS urges anyone with a tax filing obligation who has not yet filed a tax return for 2018 or 2019 to file as soon as they can to receive an economic impact payment. Taxpayers should include direct deposit banking information on the return. I need to file a tax return. How long are the economic impact payments available? For those concerned about visiting a tax professional or local community organization in person to get help with a tax return, these economic impact payments will be available throughout the rest of 2020. Where can I get more information? The IRS will post all key information on IRS.gov/coronavirus as soon as it becomes available. The IRS has a reduced staff in many of its offices but remains committed to helping eligible individuals receive their payments expeditiously. Check for updated information on IRS.gov/coronavirus rather than calling IRS assistors who are helping process 2019 returns. My Malaria Chronicle (The Fear of Covid-19) During office hours yesterday Monday 23rd March 2020. I had this usual feverish feeling, so I beckoned on my Iya Alagbo close to the office, to give me the usual typhoid and malaria mixture, nobody should form ajebutter here. Took the mixture with pọnmọ alata to step down the feeling on my tongue and began to round up the day's work. Got home, fulfilled all righteousness (Solah, dinner and stuff) and off to bed. Took some Vitamin C, you know now to boost the immune system. I have been using hand sanitiser, using my elbow to open doors, maintain social distance, avoid crowded place. Funniest part, I and a colleague typically kept distance from lady that her boss just came back from the U.S during the weekend, we even questioned why the woman had to come to her place of business when she had been informed at the Airport to self isolate for some few days. She was busy taking her kids out and driving around town. She told her employees she was tested and detained at the airport and was told she showed no symptoms of the virus. I told my colleague I was snitch on her. So back to last night after taking vitamin C, said some prophetic prayers. Some hours into the night, started having headache, my body was feeling somehow, but no cold, cough, sneezing or sore throat, but was overwhelmed with this silly thought of the COVID 19. I was like, should I call the hotline so they can come and carry me in the morning, or I should I just kuku self isolate. I became paranoid, I swallowed my siptum several times to confirm if I had sore throat. My eyeball started to feel somehow. I this moment I started recalling who and whom I had come in contact with, my wife and kids, my colleagues and partners at the office to the iya alagbo. You know that kind of feeling. Went through the common symptoms of COVID 19 over and over, but nothing similar. 5:30am struggled to get out of bed, still had the feverish feeling with the headache, fulfilled early morning righteousness and went back to bed. 8:40am went for Testing and result came out with double plus malaria and a bit of typhoid. My anxiety and paranoia disappeared. Placed on Injection for 3 days with some drugs. Back home and writing this. For those that care to know, my genotype is AA and I usual have malaria for the slightest mosquito bite. This malaria episode should be the fifth this year. Don't pray to be sick during this period, else you might become more paranoid than I was. Any similar experience can be shared. |

TechCapon:No matter how strategic you place the sanitiser people will still deliberately not use it. I was at standard chartered bank today and the security at the door would point to the sanitiser to be used before you press the button to open the door. It still requires a human to get the job done. However, i don't support hectic work ethics but it can be done in a nicer way inform of a Covid-19 mascot |

This is hysterical. You have to try this. It is absolutely true. I guess there are some things that the brain cannot handle. HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT? You have to try this please... it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!! It is sent from an orthopedic surgeon............. This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It's pre-programmed in your brain. 1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY!!) and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it. 2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction. I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.
