Business / Re: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by Quantkool: 8:11pm On Nov 14, 2011
Hello all!!!

I have some questions:

I intend to travel to uk on Sunday and need PTA (personal travel allowance) of at least GBP1000 to shop etc.

1. Do i just walk into a bank and get this? Can I get it at the airport? And if yes for airport, where at the airport
2. WIll I get it immediately from the bank or will I need to come back (i.e bidding)
3. What documents will i need for the pta processing
3. How much naira should I be looking at changing for a 1000 pounds as at today
4. Can I get PTA in pounds or only dollars?
5. Can my gtb mastercard be of any help to me when i am in the uk incase I run out of pounds,

Sorry, but I'm a newbie and i haven't seen specific answers to the above anywhere  cry

Jobs/Vacancies / Has Chevron Ever Called You? Pls Drop A Line Here: by Quantkool: 12:16am On Jan 10, 2009
Here we are again, after yet another round of chevron tests, interviews e.t.c and still.no show. I am beginning to think that there is more to all this charade than meets the eye. Methinks they already have their candidates before they advertise, all the advertisement stuff is just a front to comply with their so called "equal employer" mantra,

Yeah, yeah, u can say sour grapes or bad belle, but why won't the belle turn bad and sour wen one has sat for the test 3 times and been succesful in both all three times (yes, don't be suprised,I'm sure I'm not the only one who can testify to this) and the call for medicals still eludes me, boy I am getting disillusioned. Wen will this man no man mentality stop in this country,

I guess I just have to vent my feelings here coz its so depressing, it may make me feel better if other people who feel the same way about chevron and their elusive tactics or who have been successful (possibly) share their experiences on this thread, put a smile on the face of a depressed soul (but try not to stray from the topic abeg, I hope I don't get only "eeyah sorry" replies o) grin

Hello people,

Its quantkool in the house. I have been a silent observer of all the proceedings in the house and I want to start by saying Robbie Lex has done a good job. He has been a source of inspiration for all and it is only to be expected that Shell will snap him up. They only want the best afterall.

For those who did not make it to Shell i.e onavae, cutesy, et al, all ain't lost. Granted it can be very painful especially when u have been so expectant and contributed wholeheartedly to the res of the house.; but God knows best wink .

For the likes of Ranbaxy, Rave, Robbie Lex (the R family grin), and so on, this is only the beginning; the best is yet to come. I am not a shell hopeful (at least not at the entry level, I would be more of an experienced hire if I apply grin) but I can't help but be filled with joy about all the goodwill I am seeing here. Nigeria still has hope and a wonderful future with brains like the ones I have observed on this thread.

I hope it will not be too much to ask that this post should continue into the walls of Shell; it has become more that just an informative forum - it is a family, a haven for some, another world, another life,

I will continue to observe the proceedings and I join in the countdown.

By the way, @Tosat, (the brains behind the thread) did your friend make it to shell eventually?

One love!
