Movie Synopsis: Tumini (Angela Brown), a girl abused all through her childhood - physically, mentally, sexually and emotionally. She suffered great torture from her mother (played by Ebele Okaro) and became paralysed after childbirth due to the constant pain and suffering she went through before delivery. Her father, (although he did not physically abuse her), played a part in her abuse by ignoring what was going on and not putting a stop to it

Chidi Mokeme Did someone say delicious? Frankly, one could careless if he's dressed in a bright yellow banana costume with Gucci pumps on and a red hat. If he is in the movie, then it's watchable and if not for anything else than for the 'eye-candy' factor. Honestly, Chidi is by no means the best Nollywood actor and his acting skills while up to par are in no way impressive or distinctive. As the token Nollywood hunk, Chidi’s looks makes up the points his acting lacks. Word on the street is that he also has a bank of money to go along with the tall, dark and handsome nature that he is. As long as he remains a cutie and that rock hard body keeps glistening Chidi will always have a strong fan base and his movies will always be popular.

Nkiru Sylvanus Pick, at random, any movie starring Nkiru Sylvanus and chances are she's probably crying through half the movie. In most of her roles Nkiru is often the victimized character that must rise up against the injustices inflicted upon her thereby becoming superb heroine. In most of her roles Nkiru is often the victimized character that must rise up against the injustices inflicted upon her thereby becoming superb heroine. A role such as that gets boring after a while and after seeing her cry in every other movie most times one may want to jump in the movie and slap the tears out of her character. Thankfully she is reinventing herself as a versatile actress by accepting and executing new character roles. One of the likable things about Nkiru is how easily she fits in traditionally themed movies. She has a very down to earth, non-grandiose, albeit non glamourous and ordinary aura that draws the affection and appreciation. Even though she's starting to act in modern movies, it is refreshing to see her incorporating her trademark naivete and personable gentleness in this genre as well. A movie like 'My father's love' gets one all misty eyed and emotional, engrossed in the story and eventually angry with some of the characters. If you've never seen any movies starring Nkiru this movie is wholeheartedly recommended. |
UPDATES Ini Edo The first few times you see Ini Edo, it can be hard to focus on her acting skills, without noticing her beauty. Along with her talent, her shapely figure and attractive facial features command the attention of her fans and viewers. After a while, however, we have no choice but to get past the obvious. Ini captivates her audience with her skills and impressively expresses a growing mastery of her art. Although Ini is no beginner in Nollywood, she only made her debut in 2003 with the movie "Thick Madam". Ultimately the current ban on certain actresses accused of monopolizing the industry has allowed Ini step out of the shadows and into the forefront. Today she stands as one of the hot actresses revitalizing Nollywood with refreshingly new talent and her 'girl-next-door-keeping-it -real' personae. This can be seen in movies like "World’s Apart" and "Indecent Girls" where Ini played leading roles. With time Ini will continue to blossom and take on challenging roles. She is definitely one to keep an eye one

UPDATES Desmond Elliot At first glance, Desmond Elliot seems like an exciting actor, his boyish face and charms certainly add to his appeal. However after watching a few of his roles he becomes redundant and somewhat disappointing. His movies lack authenticity and most of the times he seems as though he's trying to conceal the character or trying to displace his nationality with a very bad mimickery of a foreign accent. A fair amount of his movies have predicatble storylines before you get past the first scene. Although the writers are to blame for much of this, Desmond delivers his characters monotonously. He's definitely one of those actors who grow on you because they're recognizable but it is hard to appreciate his talent and humor. If you're looking for a good movie starring Desmond or just a good Nollywood flicks period check out 'Missing Angel', 'Games Women Play" and 'Behind Close Doors'
