Micheal Babatunde who plays as a midfielder for Raja Casablanca, a club in Morocco, won Best Foreign Player in Morocco at the Moroccan Football Award ceremony which held yesterday June 7th. Babatunde has also played for the Super Eagles in recent times. Congrats to him. More photos after the cut.

Wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari, accompanied by Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of the Vice President, paid a visit to Baby Musa today, June 7 at the hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
“The doctors have said that he will recover but sadly he will suffer some permanent damage, cruelty meted out to a minor is intolerable. I hereby call on the government of Kano State to ensure that justice is served to the perpetrators of this dastardly act. Our children are our future, they should be nutured and protected.” Mrs Buhari stated.

Four persons were injured on Thursday, June 2 on LASU-Igando road when a tomato-laden truck collided with a Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) disposal van.

According to a statement issued today by LASEMA a police escort, Michael Adeyeye, was trapped in the truck, but was rescued by Lagos State Emergency Agency and Lagos State Fire Service officials.

Following his speech and interview at Bloomberg TV studios in London, former President Goodluck Jonathan was feted to an executive Lunch in London by Rob Hersov, CEO of Invest Africa.The lunch had several investors who had invested in Africa.

At the lunch, Dr. Jonathan encouraged his hosts to invest in Nigeria. He also used the opportunity to discuss his foundation's goals which are to deepen democracy in Africa through free and fair elections and respect for its outcome irrespective of the outcome.The Right Honourable Mark Simmonds, former UK Minister for Africa, gave the vote of thanks.

Some female artistes who dated their managers secretly have negative stories to tell. The few who end up as wife to their managers like the late Kefee broke up shortly and Tiwa Savage, still on the matter.
It is on this note that singer Kenny Saint Best (KSB) thought it wise to advise her fellow ladies. She said that it is difficult for a female act to succeed if she is not in good terms with her male manager.
Her words:-
“Yemi Alade is not having any challenges because her alleged romance (with her manager, Taiye Aliyu) is going fine for now. So everything is fine but once there is a fallout, there might be trouble.
“In the case of Emma Nyra and Ubi Franklin; her career nose-dived because they broke up and she became a wreck emotionally.
“Now that she is coming back, she will have to join from the back and start all-over again. I am disappointed Kel did not try enough after her ill- fated relationship with
Clarence Peters . She showed promise and still has the talent.
“I understand how inconvenient it is to come up with music when you are emotionally down but people who win are those who pick themselves up and fight again.
Kel should have done more than just give up on music. Dating one’s manager as a female artiste is not a plus, rather it often ends disastrously.”

Singer, Yemi Alade has unveiled a handwritten letter from an emotional fan who became so emotional and drafted a touching piece after watching her video shoot.
In the letter, the fan wrote,
“As I have just witnessed during your filming, your approach and mix to the song is the most original and beautiful in my opinion.
And all I wanted to do with this note is to share how much joy and love you just brought to what was a tough last night, warmest regard’’.
Seeing this, Yemi Alade was so moved that she replied the fan with an equally emotional statement.
‘’(It’s not a love letter ..).but people don’t show how they feel anymore, the world believes in NOT applauding people when they DO WELL ,but they are quick to BITE if you do wrong. That’s total BULL,,,people like that make the world TOXIC!(It’s just your ego getting in the way of common sense)’’
