This was what I was discussing with my husband yesterday. When times are hard, think of what u can do to keep afloat, not borrowing or begging money to eat today then go back to hunger tomorrow. There are so many things you can do if u remove shame from your eyes.

Two years ago when I moved to PH, I encountered a man and his wife selling big well garnished akara balls for N50 naira each at my house junction. His wife is there to fry it while he sells to customers. What moved me to start buying from tnem was the fact that I know it would have taken a lot of courage to do that.I later saw him in my estate some months after, I was surprised when he told he has a land in the estate that he just bought and is trying to develop it small small. I was wowed!

After a while, I noticed he was no more at their stall, when I asked after him the wife told me he has gotten a rig job that takes him off shore. Ok, despite that, she is still frying the akara. Those are people who will achieve big things fast in life.

Moral of my story oga, we know u are not lazy, and there are no jobs in Nigeria. Find a job to do. Even if it's to rent wheelbarrow daily, use it to go round some streets to help people dispose their trash at a dump site for a small fee.. Do it. If it's to start frying puff puff, buns, fish etc.. Do it. Giving u money isn't an issue, the problem is that people can't keep giving you. Think of what u can do today to feed your family, provided its honest.. From that, God will open bigger doors.

i would recommend the powermr inverter, its cheap...less than 25k.and good reviews on this forum.. the next is the fangpusun 12/24v 50a D mppt cc, less than 40k on aliexpress and gives you room for expansion.

only wahala is the 3wks aliexpress shipping time.

i dont know if the problem with the roy solar cc is bad engineering, or wrong setup by most installers.........so until u get a competent person to review ur setup...rushing to go buy a new cc may not be the most cost effective route to take

I saw it that way as well. Hubby is planning to get epever tracer 40A or just upgrade to a hybrid solar inverter that has mppt charge controller of 40A inbuilt.

the PWM solar controller is 30A,its Roy solar product.

how much did you get the phone, you are playing with your money bro. Load your phone well, call them again, ask to speak with their supervisor, tell them they have to schedule a pick up of the phone by Monday. You too pack it with all the accessories and nylon it came in and wait for them to pick up. If you don't follow jumia up with seriousness, you will be stuck with a bad phone once that 7 days elapses.

You should get off nairaland and call jumia customer service number on your reciept to make a complaint and also inform them of your intention to return it.You have just 7 days after the day of purchase to exercise your right to return the phone.

I forgot to tell you wire used and distance of panel to controller could also be a problem. If possible, snap and post the specs of your panels, controller and size of wire used. And the distance of the panels to your controller. Compare with your Hubby's friend. I still believe you may likely not need to buy/replace anything. I have two pwm and one mppt controllers that are idle now due to the challenges I faced then. So I advise you hesitate before buying anything.
Let the house analyse your challenges. Pictures/drawings speak better. Panel specs are on a sticker at the back of the panels.
If i guess right, 450 watts you use will be three 12volts 150watts panels connected in parallel. My array is 600watts(150watts bigger than yours) and I use 60amps pwm controller with 25 meters dual core 6mm wire, one 200ah mercury battery. I use it with TV, lights and a 130 watts ox fan(sun hours only; I shall do vigil one day and see how it goes at night). With all these, it has never beeped low battery except once(still hasn't discovered why).
So check your load too.ni

And your load, have you changed to low wattage bulbs like say 5watts/8watts? And I hope you don't leave lights on in rooms while not there? Are you using ceiling fans/ stand fans that are high consumers? These could be reasons for what you are facing assuming the installer did a good job.

MPPT draws 99% energy from solar panel WHILE PWM draws 50to60% from panel

you are right, he used PWM. No wahala sha, will buy the mppt myself. This is currently my set up -

800va pure sine wave inverter
200ah battery
12/24 30 amps solar charge controller
3 pcs of 150w mono solar panels

Based on the above, do u think we should buy a charge controller with higher amps?
