To get visa for your foreign child to bring the child into your country on the basis that you are a citizen, it is easier for a mother not married to the child's father than for a father not married to the child's mother.

All over the world the default position is that the children stay with the mother even when they marry and divorce, how much more when they're not married at all. Even embassies won't recognize them for immigration purposes if you are not married to their mother. Society makes it a big deal when a man is not married to his child's mother.

On thing this Sophie Momodu must note is that all these fight will be useless once Imade hit age of 18. She will leave for uni and become independent and free to associate with whoever she wants.
