Get a bail and proceed to trial.

All these government-provided Defence Lawyers don't like putting in the work for their assigned cases. They want a fast judicial process at the detriment of the accused.
They are usually not willing to go on trial on their meagre or non-existent government funds.
"Get a bail and proceed to trial." grin grin
With what money??!

I hope God will help. I dont easily fall in love, but when I do, I give them all the attention, love and respect. Another thing about this particular one is, we met in the church, we belonged to same church unit, and I tested her so much believing she'd behave expectedly as a Christian. I was wrong.
You won't be the first bro. Appearances can be VERY, VERY deceiving!! Until you know somebody well, you don't know them!! No matter how attractive and charming they are!

"Oso ahia" a person , a business man who sells in a market place either. He's a seller but doesn't have a shop.
He makes his sells by bringing in a customer to buy from he who owns a shop, his own pay(interest) is always from the accesses from the buyer . Some times they wedge a customer in one place and use the slang " let me bring it from my parking store".
"Let me bring it from my parking store"

Melagros:
COMRADES, I will be happy if I can get that link on Nairaland that sometimes ago captioned Nigerian Police as the most corrupt/ worst police in Africa/ world

Sometime ago last year, the WhatsApp account of my friend whom I hold in high esteem was hacked, and the hacker defrauded me to the tune of 200k, after my conversation with my friend. Then I discovered that I was scammed!

However, in order to unravel the identity of the fraudster, then I reached out to the receiving bank and also to my bank for the account to be linked, after that, both of the banks advised me if I want to know who the fraudster is, I should make a formal entry at the police station since banks don't release the information of their customers to the third party. But, the police through the court order can produce who the criminal is

After harking to the piece of the advice, I went to the police station (Elelenwo station, picture below) and made an entry, then the IPO assured me that the fraudster will be apprehended, that this is a simple case, that there's an officer (a tracker) who specialises in handling such cases, so he linked me up with the so-called tracking officer (name below) then the so-called tracking officer booked an appointment with me. After asking of my bank details, he logged on to Google and brought out a certain phone number and claimed that this was the number which was used to defraud me, so to know who the culprit is, it will cost me: 15k (cash) for entry, plus 30k for mobilisation of officers, plus another 15k for a job well done. Without further ado, I made the payment

Do you know one funny thing? The so-called tracking officer didn't know that I am also an experienced car/vehicle tracker (I track vehicles for companies) anytime I asked for an update the fraudster in uniform would googled an image and sent it to me, not knowing that he is dealing with an expert, he would also be telling me cock and bull story blah blah blah blah

After all the drama, this year I decided to escalate the matter at the station, guess what, the police sided with their colleague. When I proved to them that I am also a tracker and their colleague is nothing but a fraudster and I threatened to take legal action against the fraudster in uniform, then all of them washed their hands off the case
Thanks 4 sharing this. Same thing happened to me. I lost my new i-phone in a hotel. But in my case I think it is the hotel manager I gave the money to give police that kept the money. Mynd44, OAM4J, nlfpmod

This is exactly one of the reason we started John 8. If I tell you the number of cases we have handled and still handling till this moment, tears will run down your cheeks.

All I can say is, learn to say NO. That no is on caps. Don't joke with it.

Know who your friends are before you seat with them to break a meal or share a drink. If they or someone you know or don't know bring a deal or involves you, seek to know what the entire deal it all about. You might just be their fall guy. Someone the police will gladly use to end investigation. If you be you and others at large, when the matter gets to court.

Some persons have been languishing for years in prison for a matter that will ordinary not attract more than two years in prison.

I am saying this mainly to my Arewa brother who bearly understand English and those naive JJC who just arrived Lagos and Ibadan. Especially those drivers and dispatch riders. Many are, today, suffering for what they know little or nothing about.

For some others, it was because they simply reconnected with their friends from Secondary or University days without caring to investigate who that friend is presently. Dem go involve you ooo. But na you fit help them go prison. Such case is a case of illegal possession of fire arms that I am presently defending some folks.

May God nor allow dem catch us on top shit wen we nor shit. Amen.

I wish we had the resources to expand the services of John 8, so that we can help more people. But I am certain that with time, God will provide us with enough to cover the entire 36 states and perhaps the whole of Africa.
Amen!
Thanks 4 sharing this. Is it John 8 from the Bible?

Keep up the good work

I'll never understand this idea of pleading guilty.

It's like a university lecturer that knows you wrote well, but for some sentimental reasons, won't score you an A.

If the prosecution can't prove their case beyond reasonable doubt, why should a judge pressure you into that guilt plea.

Not you're an exconvict for life.
You're a registered criminal.

He knows the implication of this, he should have let you go and sin no more, as per first offender...or a 19yr old.
So it is better to stay years in prison and possibly get killed there??

It's called Oso afia. More like a hustler. They own no shop but they can sell things to you and the shop owner won't cough. Most times they will come with the customer to a shop and even claim ownership of the shop. Get the deal thru, the customer pays. They get their cut and everyone is happy. All shop owners do know them and trust them.

Don't feel too bad. Lots of men are simps towards their women, only they won't admit it. Hard not to be a simp towards a woman you really like. And women sense it and take advantage and before long you're under their control, even scared of them, and you can't reverse it!

Compare them with SSS, it was from the police, SSS was discovered, but they maintain integrity do proper investigation and all. If SSS found no criminal against you they pay compensation even without a lawyer in most cases.

Not all of them pretend to own shops.
Anyone who takes you into a shop that doesn't belong to him, you will quickly notice that.

Besides, if the price you are offered for a good is not okay by you, you can always walk away.

But these oso ahia guys would still be following you to take you to another place. They don't easily give up.
Wrong. With some you can never guess. They'll be ordering the shop owner around as their boss, send him on errands

The gate was heavy iron real work to carry. I was sweating, focused on not dropping it, when someone tapped me from behind. I turned, annoyed and the next thing I heard was ‘YOU’RE TAKING THIS WHERE?!’ I spun around to point at the man who hired me but he was GONE. Vanished into thin air.

The man should be at the front leading you. If he is the one directing you from the back, his voice should be so clear n audible that you shoulsnt have lost track of him.

Ọsọ ahia ( literal translation is "market run"wink . These people don't have or own any shop in the market but they know where everything is sold. They meet customers, ask them what they want and take them to the shops where the items are sold. And when the transactions are finalised between the customer and the vendor, they collect their commission from the shop owner. The practical translation is market hustlers, they're in every single market in Nigeria.
Charleschidera:
The correct pronunciation or spelling is 'Ọsọ Ahịa'

Ọsọ Ahịa (or Ịgba Ọsọ Ahịa) literally means “running around in the market.” It refers to the activity of moving through a busy market to find and attract customers, often by speaking to many people and encouraging them to buy goods.

Practically, in traditional Igbo commerce it describes market agents or hustlers who don’t own a shop but bring customers to sellers or help sell goods in exchange for a share of the profit.
Oh okay, as in "olusare oja".

Anyways, those who Soludo locked up their shops, hopefully, they will go and get food from Nnamdi Kanu.
Lazy ones? Don't you think it is a bit cruel that traders have only one day off per week? And that one day is taken up by church and social engagements. When do they have time to take care of themselves, their health? They really do NEED Mondays off
