Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is a nonsensical word that is sometimes used to describe something as being great or extraordinary. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is used especially by children and fans of Disney movies to describe something as being really good.

You could have said the word in much simpler terms - Good, Great or Wonderful!
It’s not a nonsensical word if it’s “used to describe something”.

That’s like saying 1 + 1 = 0

Fuel hike: NLC Mobilises ASUU, JUSUN, NUT, Others For 'Mother of All' Strikes

3rd June, 2023

By Kazeem Ugbodaga

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has mobilised all its affiliate unions, including the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) and others for its nationwide strike on Wednesday following the hike in petrol prices.

The NLC had resolved to embark on nationwide strike and protest from Wednesday if the Federal Government did not revert the humongous hike in prices of petrol, which is now between N488 and N555.

The Congress, in a letter to ASUU, JUSUN, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and others, asked them to embark on strike from Wednesday.

The NLC’s letter was signed by its General Secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja.

The Congress drew the attention of the unions to the decision arising from its National Executive Council meeting held on 2nd June 2023, where it was decided that Congress would embark on a nationwide action and withdrawal of services, against the fraudulent increase in the prices of fuel across the thirty-six states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the FCT.

The NLC informed the affiliate unions that the nationwide action would begin on Wednesday, 7th June, 2023 and that to this effect, all National Leadership were expected to mobilise their members for the action and ensure full compliance with the directives as services in both the public and private sector were expected to be fully withdrawn by Wednesday.

The Congress added that all presidents and general secretaries were expected to help ensure the implementation of the decisions of the National Executive Council.

IamDietiesGod:
What an interesting write-up. The points raised are valid...

It always amaze me how we Africans could totally sideline our own, indigenous religion for a religion that is not ours nor did it originates with our culture. Most Africans have even put traditional religion as Dark, figuratively a symbolism of bad and evil ( But what do you expect, when that is what western religion, which has flood our mind wants us to believe)

The western religions with other indigenous religions has been stereotypically made to be believed, literally as a contract and figuratively as an oxymoron or a paradox.

The climax has now worsen to the extent most Nigerians, by extension Africans have no iota of ideas of any progenitor of their tribes by extension their culture and religion.
It is a terrible situation, my brother.

I personally suspect the ancestors and deities are angry with us over this wholesale abandonment of their heritage, in favour of that of the invaders.

It could be why we have all these problems today.

Wait until Lamidi Apapa becomes the president, he will erect Sango shrine in aso Rock!
Not a shrine. A temple.

Shrines were always emergency outposts by migrating priests who couldn't afford to build temples, or were hiding from colonial invaders.

Temple worship was the original style of worship in African religion.

It was from African temple worship in Nubia and Egypt (which was black African in antiquity) that the Greeks, Romans and Arabs later learnt to build their ancient temples and later on their 'churches' and 'mosques'.

PoliticsRe: Why Is There No Temple Of Traditional Religion In Aso Rock And N. Assembly? by Quintopia(op):
Our modern-day corruption and criminal/violence propensity can be traced DIRECTLY to the abandonment of our traditional religion in favour of christianity and islam.

Traditional religion placed SANCTIONS on those vices.

Nothing like ''forgiveness''.

It is that concept of ''forgiveness'' introduced by christianity and islam that destroyed Africa.

A man can be sworn into office with by placing his hands on the bible, steal 2 billion dollars, and go to church all on the very same day.

If he has a conscience he might pray for ''forgiveness'' in the church.

But they usually don't. They actually go there to THANK GOD for their ''SUCCESS'', pastor in tow.

I mean, just abominations from start to finish.

That is why we have a total collapse of moral values.

No punishment for sin, so long as you ''accept Jesus as your lord and saviour''.

Or ''so long as you go to Mecca on Hajj''.

IN AFRICAN TRADITIONAL RELIGION....

If you swear an oath with Ofo or with Opon Ifa not to steal public funds, and you steal, you're finished.

Just go and say your last goodbye to your family and friends.

Because if the gods don't destroy you first, the priests, kings, and people will!!!

Nothing like 'cabal' to sabotage the will of the people.

IF YOU KILL PEOPLE OR YOU FIGHT A WAR IN A TERRITORY, THE LAND WHICH YOU HAVE DEFILED MUST BE PROPITIATED.

You must observe religious rites to CLEANSE the land of the evil generated thereupon.

If you don't, the evil will multiply.

Evil is a manifestation of negative spiritual energy, an energy that must be nullified spiritually with propitiation rites, for society to maintain balance and equilibrium.

That is African Religion, borne of thousand of years of experience.

Today you commit all sorts of atrocities on the land and nobody bothers to cleanse the land with rites.

And you wonder why things get worse?

''Cleanse the land? Isn't that just another primitive custom of our ancestors?'', our brainwashed mumu heads ask.

Oyinbo has brainwashed you to think your ancestors were stupid and didn't know what they were doing.

BUT THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

You cannot be deceitful, corrupt, or be a liar in such a dispensation.

That was why the colonialists were so SCARED of our religion that they forced us to abandon it and adopt theirs, which permits widespread vices, hypocrisy, corruption and perfidy by virtue of ''forgiveness'', which is really just religious licence to commit atrocities.

Who wants a tradition that's full of devilish activities.
What devilish activity supersedes the mass murders and child-raping paedophile priests, and gay, lesbian, transsexual bishops your Christian religion is well-known for?

Who is pushing homosexuality and same-sex marriage on nations across the world?

Is it not Christian nations like USA and UK, Canada, France, Germany etc?

Do you have the slightest fcking idea how many people you Christians have slaughtered on this Earth? From the millions you enslaved to millions you slaughtered in the Inquisitions and the Crusades? The colonial invasions?

Modern day invasions of countries like Iraq, where Christians slaughtered 2 million Iraqis based on a pack of lies about WMDs, just to loot their oil and gas resources?

Was Hitler not a Christian? Do you know that Christian priests used to visit him and give the Nazi salute in support of him?

AT THE VERY SAME TIME he was mass murdering 6 MILLION ‘Jews’ in Germany?

LINING THEM UP INCLUDING CHILDREN INTO GAS CHAMBERS?

HOW DARE YOU accuse African religion of ‘devilish activity’ when your Christian hands are dripping with the blood of millions and possibly billions of people you’ve slaughtered?

HOW DARE YOU?

In comparison to you Christians and Muslims, African religionists are absolute SAINTS.

Their own sacrifice most times doesn't allow them to gain wealth
You are totally brainwashed and you’re talking rubbish. First of all the so called “devil” is a fictional character who does not exist in any African religion. The Eshu and Ekwensu deities whom the English missionaries translated as ‘Satan’ are TRICKSTER deities, or MISCHIEF deities whose job is to test and challenge man through trials and tests of integrity.

Deities are assistants of the Supreme Being.

Those assistants are called ‘angels’ in your imported religions.

See, YOU are the ones with the original knowledge of these things which the whites stole and distorted and ‘whitewashed’ and rebranded and forced it on you as the religion that will ‘save’ you.

Meanwhile the British that gave you that book while enslaving and massacring your ancestors, have abandoned that religion in all but name. And YOU are left carrying their ‘Jesus’ on your head.

Imagine a protester wearing charm vest being arrested but a person holding Quran or tesbiyu can carry it around. Nollywood too ll portray traditionalists as those that do evil. Some of those ones too are into occultic and ritual deeds which just labeled them bad.
Just pure prejudice against them.

Well said. What we now need to do is FORMALISE IT by erecting TEMPLES like the Africans of old did. The govt should FUND the traditional religion sector which has been decimated by colonial-inspired policies of exclusion.

They do not have to be left to worship in village shrines.

BUILD proper TEMPLES like Africans of old did.

Help the traditional priests to develop their religious texts and lift them up, educationally, let's see what answers they have to our current problems.

What is all this?
