A businessman from Hong Kong has offered a $65m dowry to any man who can win the heart of his lesbian daughter. Are you an eligible bachelor ready to marry? Can you play a lovey-dovey and win the heart of a 33 year old beautiful woman, who already has a same-sex loving attraction to another woman? If you fit these descriptions, catch the next plane for Paris or Hong kong in search of Gigi Chao, daughter of a Hong Kong billionaire. The Hong Kong businessman has offered a $65 million "marriage bounty" to any man who can win the heart of his lesbian daughter, a report said Wednesday. Cecil Chao announced the financial reward of HK$500 million after his daughter, Gigi, married her same-sex partner of seven years in France earlier this year. "I don't mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kind hearted," 76-year-old Chao was quoted as saying. "Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to her parents, is generous and does volunteer work," he added. He also rejected "false reports" that Gigi, 33, had married abroad, saying she was still single. Chao, who owns publicly-listed property developer Cheuk Nang, could not be reached for comment. Same-sex marriages are not recognised in Hong Kong, a socially conservative Chinese city where homosexuality was decriminalised in 1991. Chao is well known in Hong Kong's social circles and regularly appears at public events with his latest young girlfriend. He reportedly once claimed to have had intimate relations with 10,000 women. Naija Bachelors!!! Who is catching the next flight to Hong Kong? http://m.naij.com/news/9919.html

Get ready for another “Countdown”… Beyoncé may be pregnant again. It’s hard to believe, but it was just one year ago that Beyoncé temporarily broke the Internet — or at least Twitter – when she showed the world she was expecting her first child. (Jay-Z’s audience reaction is still my favorite celebrity Dad moment of all time). Now, the Internet is abuzz that Blue Ivy will be a big sister and HollywoodLife.com has the photo ”proof.” Let’s (over)analyze. The tip-off is Bey in a leopard print dress from a paparazzi shot taken Sept. 23. To my eye, the singer looks decidedly not pregnant. But! An anonymous source told HollywoodLife that Beyoncé is in fact expecting. So, case closed? (For what it’s worth, EW reached out to Beyoncé’s publicist, http://popwatch.ew.com/2012/09/24/beyonce-pregnant-rumors/ |

Billyonaire: Whether the story is true or not, is not for us to judge, but the truth is people find themselves in such situations, both gender, where the partner says, pay me off or accept a pay off. Someone has demanded 15m pay off from me in the past. Now, to the OP, the issue of pride is immature in the event that you decide to reject the 1M. Rejecting the 1m, if you must, has to be in a very very diplomatic way, so what ever might happen to that lady in the future, the husband and the entire family will not think you have a hand in it and you might suffer for something you know nothing about. And accepting cash reward has to also be done in a way that one will not think you are greedy and might jeopardize their union in future. If you ask me, I say, be smart, tell the man although you are in financial distress, you appreciate the fact that he came around to help the girl out at a point you could no longer meet her demands, so you wish them well and from the bottom of your heart have nothing against him. That you will take him as a brother and a friend. Should you need financial assistance in the future they will be the first to know and not the banks. That's a simple approach. And if indeed you need financial assistance, let it be something worth over 2m and not the 1m, and take it in form of a loan with agreement to repay. in order to save your pride. Whether you will pay back that loan is a story for another dayYea rite ![]() Santa Claus is coming to town |

A 38-year-old Nigerian housewife, Mrs Mariam Adunni of Omoda Area, Ilorin,Kwara state has been granted her wish by the town’s Area Court to dissolve her six-year-old marriage. Her ground for dissolution: her husband has been an untamed chatterbox. Adunni told the court that her husband,Garba Ajani not only talked too much, but also did not keep family secrets. “My husband is fond of sharing our family affairs with his relatives and friends,” she told the court, adding that the defendant has had no time for fun with her and their children. She said: “My husband has no trust in me, instead he shares his problems with friends and relatives who will mislead him.” The plaintiff informed the court that the marriage was contracted in 2006 and had produced two children. “I am tired of him because I have tried my best to change him and he is not ready to cooperate,” she said. The defendant agreed to her request for divorce, saying, “nobody can turn my back against my parents.” “I am ready to concede to her wish”, he said and urged the court to grant the prayer of the plaintiff. The presiding Judge, Mr Quadri Ibrahim, in his judgment, dissolved the marriage and issued a certificate of divorce to the plaintiff. http://247nigerianewsupdate.com/nigerian-woman-divorces-talkative-husband/ |
Anyone who can control sex has all it takes to lead a stress-free life. The Human Resources Manager of 7-Up Bottling Company at its Benin City plant, Mr. Sola Mosiko, has collapsed and died in a hotel room in Benin City, Edo State. Investigation reveals that Mosiko, 53, had gone to the hotel with a lady called Amen, a security guard in 7-Up company, to have fun when the tragedy occurred. An indigene of Ayetoro-Gbede in Kogi State, Mosiko called at the hotel with Amen after the day’s work to relax and enjoy themselves. However, a few hours after they checked into the hotel, Amen rushed out and was shouting for help. But all efforts to resuscitate Mosiki proved abortive. The lady was later arrested and handed over to the police at Ekiadolor Police Station, BeninCity. According to sources, Mosiko’s wife and children left Lagos for Benin City to spend their vacation with him and on the night of the incident, his wife made several calls to his phone without any response. But the following morning, the police used her husband’s phone to call and invite her to the hospital where Mosiko was taken to. A source said: "When Mrs. Mosiko’s phone rang in the morning, she felt something was amiss since she could not sleep throughout the night while awaiting the arrival of her husband at home. She became more worried when the caller, a policeman invited her to a hospital. Initially, she thought it was an accident. But she was shocked when she searched her dead husband’s body and saw no wound. She was later informed that her husband died in a hotel."

Appreciation From Ubong - Hello, all members of the teHN committee, and all other nairalanders. This is Ubong, feeling at a loss for words in response to your help and generosity. Today I received a gift of N296,000 from Nairaland Charity, courtesy of all you good people. Wow... to say that I am elated would be a gross understatement. I still find it difficult to grasp the fact that people that I do not know, and vice-versa, actually rose up for my sake, to see to it that I pull through this illness successfully. It's situations like this that strengthen my belief that there is a God or Divine Being that looks out for us, if we subscribe to Him( and sometimes, even if we don't). Now, at least, I can pay for the radiotherapy and several post-therapy consultation sessions, and take proper care of myself, especially during the six-week duration of the radiotherapy. A friend of mine once told me that Nigerians may be considered to be "so, so"( "so, so" here representing words too derogatory to be repeated on this forum), but that she would not change the love that she had for them, because she believed that inside of every human being there was a beautiful person, regardless of what was on the outside. Now, I realize that the nairaland forum comprises everybody from every part of the world, but this gesture has boosted my hope in a great Nigeria, my love for Nigerians and for all of humanity in general. May blessings and favors encompass you all every single minute of your lives. For, as you all have sown beneficial things into my life, so also shall you all reap success and fulfillment in all your endeavors. I'll be sure to keep everybody posted on my progress. I sincerely thank you all for making this happen. You truly are friends indeed. Stay blessed, everybody, and have a great week ahead. -- Ubong |
