As far as I'm concernded, a girl can be a wife material anytime she wants. It doesent take much to fool you guys!!

If you think a girl's not a 'wife material', its prolly because she doesent think you are worth it.
there u go again with dis your philosophy o

be a wife material, once u refused to spend as she wish
she will start giving you short hand.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Tricky Interview Questions That Most Jobseekers Fail To Answer by r231(m): 11:58am On Aug 20, 2009
Gentlelady:
Always give detailed answers! Ensure that you answer as truthfulfully as possible.

1) Tell me about yourself.

Your name, educational background, job experience etc.

2) What do you know about our company?

Always do a research on the company prior to the interview, you should know the nature of their business etc

3) Why do you want to work for us?

State the reasons for your application (could be you want to learn new technology from them, get good working conditions, grow on the job, work with an organisation that allows her employees to grow)

4) What unique qualities or abilities would you bring to this job?

Your educational qualification and personal attributes that will add to the growth of the company. Personal attributes like ability to multi task, ability to learn fast, honesty, integrity, being a goal getter, pace setter, not being afraid of responsibility, great interpersonal skills, IT skills etc.

5) What are your major strengths and weaknesses?

Make your personal strengths count and talk about your weakness and let them know what you are doing about it. For example my strength is my ability to learn fast and excellent memory while my weakness is delegation. I always want to do things myself to be sure it is done well. I am conquering that by training my subordinates and giving tasks ahead of deadline so I can cross check before final input is given out.

6) How long do you plan to stay at our company? Where do you see yourself in five years?

As long as the company meets your needs and aspirations. You can expantiate on what your aspirations are like training, growth, welfare etc. In five years one should have learnt very well and moved up the ladder. Talk about your personal plans to develop yourself through courses and trainings/exams

7) Tell me about a time that you failed at something, and what you did afterwards.

Say the truth. Pick any time you have failed but make sure it is the one that you went out of your way to correct your error

I am not a guru but I hope my contribution will enable others to add more light to this topic.

All the best.

when they ask "tell me about yourself"

you should most definitely state your name but do not list obvious things on the resume, you should say something along the line, "i am a seasoned accountant with 5 years of experience in corporate accounting. I am knowledgeable about ledgers and such" vs. saying what school you attended, the interviewee already knows that.
You knw a recruiter once told me dat wen they ask dat question they are not looking for your name answer cus your name is alrdy on the resume basically they want to knw more about what you put dwn on your resume in details, what you have been doing and where you are going.

Even with our University system, a guy that's still in school at the age of 30, for me is not an average guy. He is below average. Of course there could be some circumastances that can be excused, but generally, its not acceptable to me.

@ 30, a guy should be looking to start his family (even with the Nigeria system) and how can he do that if he dosent have all those thinsg I listed. A guy that's still struggling to get there at 35 is a mediocre as far as I'm concerned. Not that I judge them, I just dont want to end up with them!

No, that's not the case here. Fine, I've been exposed to money, but my wants come from the kind of life I want to live. I'm going to take my husband places for sure, but I need to feel he's worth it to bgin with.

Contrary to what you guys think, I'm not and will never be a burden to any man. My family will survive with or without my hubbyu's money. I'll just feel better if he has the money.  wink
WHATS YOUR AGE RANGE PLS if i may ask

personally dis is what I think no offence intended to whom it may concern, the way she is talking like i want dis and dat. The pple dat normally talk like dat are pple dat have never seen money b4 and are looking for the best opportunity to get their hands on it and she feel like as a woman since I have 2 boobs, an ass then dat can bring the riches dat my family can survive on, PERIOD

Some are lazy, i will admit, but at least, he has started doing something positive, but what is the dude doing while not in school, hope he has a job and not depending on the wife to feed him with food and nite duty too
we can't really judge on what she said, its only if the wife is complaining about it u knw pples situation are diff maybe he wasn't brought up with silver spoon in his mouth and he feels like now is time for him to do it and if his wife supports him 100% then no problem

what uju wants is , she don't want to craw, she just want to straight on WALKING.

@uju

whats your age range pls not the exact age but btw what and what 20-25, 25-30 or what
Family › Re: Am I Wrong To Want To Marry A Rich Man? by r231(m): 4:42pm On Aug 19, 2009
Fhemmmy:
With the kinda university we run in Nigeria, where only the one that are from rich dada and mama can afford to go to "functional" university, it is possible for someone to get his/her degree at an age older than usual.
Now the man at 36 that is doing part time schooling at university, what is he doing that he is not schooling full time, does he have a Job? else, what occupies his time while not in school/
if he has a job, why cant the wife, work with him and see how they can make him do something that will bring out the potentials in him, he can market stuff, he can start a small biz, there are so many opportunities in Nigeria.
However, there is a thin line between laziness and "waiting for my potential" and " God will provide"
I hate laziness, but dont be too quick to judge people.
So what can be on ground as you put it, doesnt have to be money in his account and landed properties, it could be skill, and contacts, cos with those well refined, it could turn into gold
well said

Yes! But how do you judge a man with a good potential? My cousin married a 36 yr old guy that was still taking a part time course in one of the Universities. She keeps saying he had potentials and all I can think is how? The guy's 36 yrs old for Christ sakes. What was he doing when his mates were going to school?

For me to see potentials in a guy, I need to know what you have on ground first  grin  grin
cus your cousin LOVES AND BELIEVE IN D GUY, jus cus u don't believe in him don't mean nothing I am sure there is a reason why he is just going to school now so u can't blame pple for dat come on now

Honestly, I wont advise my brother to marry a lady better than him. I tell my Brothers everyday to go for girls they can take care of. If your wife earns 20k, you should earn 40k and if she earns 50k, u shd earn at least 80k. Its not right for a man to marry a woman that earns 20k when he earns 5k  cheesy
see you are wrong very very wrong, to you every thing is money and its not all about money so far he is bringing to the table and she is bringing to the table as well if married the whole money is all coming to one household anyways so try and rethink

My question to Uju so what happens if you get this man of your dreams and along the way, he LOSES it all

Will you leave him ?
I know that shit happens. And when they do, I'm willing to deal with it. I had a priviledged childhood and when I lost my dad, I had to face poverty. Did I die? No! I faced it and I survided it.

The rich get poor and the poor get rich. That's life. Call me twisted, but I'd rather have the rich now and poor later, than the poor now and rich later. What I cant chance is the poor now and poor forever

ROTFLMAO @ most of the posts here.

What’s all these beefing going on here? I never meant for this to be a challenge to all you broke ass NL guys. I don’t condemn you guys for being broke. I just don’t want your kind!!  tongue

As for the ladies with the insults, I can only say you are jealous I have the courage and boldness to go for what I want. If you want to manage with a struggling guy . . . well, good luck! Me, I want the already made. At what cost I get them is my problem and problem only!  grin  grin

I read this on this forum sometime ago titled 'Why you need not marry a poor man' and I quote:

‘The reality as I see it is that for a girl who marries a financially struggling guy; it’s head or tail, you still lose. Most often, when a girl marries a man who has little or no financial stability, she is forgotten when the going gets good. Look at it this way, what happens is that the wife wears herself out trying to make ends meet and carries the burden of the family. The husband gradually begins to see her as his slave or servant and treats her as one, regardless of her education and career. Trust me, I see this happen all the time. Ladies in such marriages do not buy expensive clothes and perfumes, they do not go to a Spa or gym; neither do they go for a manicure or pedicure. Their family is their life and they are ready to sacrifice their comfort for the comfort of their family. What happens? Their husbands begin to admire other ladies outside and begin to see their wives as unwanted baggage or package.

You see, when a girl marries a guy who, as they say, ‘has arrived’ or is ‘ready-made’, she has little to lose if the relationship does not work. In fact, she probably will have gained one or two things (except the guy was very miserly) to make up for her broken heart. In other words, during the moments of reflective regrets over the ended relationship, this lady would not be thinking about the labors of love she put into the relationship; how she did his laundry, cooked his meals, constantly spent time and energy trying to stretch the budget, going without a car, and on and on. For the girl who married a rich guy, after the divorce she will be concentrating on mending her broken heart. And in many cases, she will have the divorce settlement to use to try and put her life together.’

What can I say, I totally agree with it!!
like i said earlier, I am beginning to like you now i even like you more and more with all your philosophy cus u are like d smartest chick on heart jus make sure dis rich guy you are looking for is and illiterate that can read or write dat won't know anything about PRENUPS except if they don't do dat in 9ja.
