It expires on the anniversary of your medical or re-medicals.
In my case my medicals were in November but I got extension for the meds (this year) January 2022 so my copr is until January 2023
But if your passport expires before your medicals anniversary then your Copr will be valid until then. It’s one or the other, never heard of the ‘1 year of getting PPR’ before.
bigmills:
what I actually want to ask is "When is the expiry of COPR"?
1 Year from when PR was approved or 1 year from last medical.
a friend of mine said hers was 1year from when PR was approved

bigmills:
Can I send a Private message?

Thank you. Seven weeks and apparently I’m one of the lucky ones. My friend got his 10th week. Lol
bigmills:
Congrats Mate.
How many weeks In total?

Yeah finally. They just dispatched my passport today after countless emails that were never answered.
I can now see application approved and counterfoil on ircc account now, so happy days indeed. Still won’t advise anyone to send to London office for now anyway. Bad bad service
bigmills:
Any response from the London VO yet?

For anyone who just got PPR and considering sending their passport to London. DO NOT ATTEMPT!
(Sent there only cos it’s my primary and nearest VO)
My docs have been with them for 6 weeks and nothing yet, I know someone waiting 9 weeks now, so do yourself a favour. Cheers

Yeah but these trips were planned way before I even got PPR. I am even supposed to be in Venice today but missed it cos IRCC is holding my passport to stamp something they already approved. So annoying.
Same webforms that they don’t even reply until after 3 weeks?
bigmills:
Hahahahaha

That's why they say you should not travel this period o.

I suspended all trips mehn cos I know they can call anytime.

If it's more than 4 weeks send a webform. There is a link in that PPR letter.

Hey guys, anyone here sent their passport to London Visa office? How long did it take?
Accra wasn’t an option for me because I live in Europe so London was the advised office but it’s been almost 4 weeks and nothing yet. They don’t even respond to emails (lol)
I need my passport to go to the US.

Ircc wait times for everything is ridiculous!

Refreshed at least 20 times and used my euro card. Finally worked and application is now updated.
Thanks for your help, cheers.

Hi Rahl007,

From the screenshot, it's apparent that your application isn't yet submitted. Could you please confirm if you didn't use a virtual card. If not, then employ the Report a Technical Issue Button at the top of your account. It's a medium of notifying IRCC about the glitch in their system.

I hope this helps?

Hello,
Is it actually notifying you that the payment has failed or is it just stuck in the processing and continue application cycle. I’m having issues with payments too and I’ve even used two foreign bank cards so idk what’s happening.

Good morning all.

I have been trying using GTBank US Dollar Mastercard to pay for IRCC study permit application fees but it has been declining it.

Please, is the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) now restricting the use of US Dollar Card?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Rahl007: 8:42am On Jul 31, 2022
Hi there, no the card wasn’t debited. That’s the issue. And 24 hours later, we tried another card but it wasn’t debited either.
I attached an image of what it looks like now
Gigdraft:

Hi Rahl007,

I'm trying to understand you correctly, was she debited the first time? If yes, then you should exercise patience for an additional 24 hours. The payment will be updated.

Hey guys, I need some help please. My sister is trying to submit her study permit application. She has filled the forms, attached and uploaded all necessary docs.
She then went ahead to pay. However it showed 'your payment is being processed. this can take up to 24 hours, we'll email you confirmation link' bla bla bla.
More than 24 hours later, she checked and it's just showing that the fees still need to be paid and when she clicks on continue application it does nothing.
We've tried different cards including my card which is a foreign card but nothing is working, it's not debiting me and not showing payment failed or error. Just the same 'processing' and then it reverts back to the page where they need to pay again.

Has anyone experienced this or have any input. I know IRCC's system is buggy but this is really annoying and I'm assuming all online applications must be paid for online and can't be done at the local VFS yes?

Any help from you guys on our next step would be appreciated. Thanks

When you say seized your visa and COPR, I’m assuming this also means your international passport isn’t it? If that’s the case, you can report him to both the Nigerian authorities and the Canadian High commission. NO ONE a has a right to hold your passport except you. So him seizing and running off with your passport is a criminal offence.

Sorry about the abuse and other things you had to endure but other than an official complaint and report, there isn’t much to be done regarding that now.

However, please start by reporting this. He is not the first person to add a spouse to an application so that is absolute gutter behaviour on his part.
If I were in your shoes and he doesn't want me in Canada after all the time and financial sacrifices I’ve made too, then I’ll make sure he’s inadmissible as well. End of story.
Goodluck and I hope God ‘touches his heart and brain’ to do the right thing before this whole thing is ruined for you both.

Please I need help.

My husband seized my Visa and COPR so I’m unable to travel.

I am heavy and due to travel in August with my ticket already booked.

He has travelled already and he took my passport with visa and my COPR and cut off communication with me. He never even allowed me see the COPR cos he had his plans so now I’m stranded in Nigeria and need help on what to do.

Please how do I go about retrieving these documents from IRCC?

A little background:

The marriage has been filled with serious emotional abuse from my husband mainly because I was added to his Canadian EE application. He willingly added me just after we got married and this somehow delayed his getting PPR as it took over 2 years before it finally came. I have seen hell in this 2 years with him constantly blaming me for the delay, then he would accuse me of not being submissive and appreciative of the sacrifice. He threatens me with divorce all the time saying I'm not submissive and he cannot take a woman he cannot control to Canada. Repeatedly tells me he made a mistake marrying me. He tells me no man can ever do what he did for me. That most men will not add their partner to their application and that I'm supposed to be worshiping him. Note that I had to bear all the financial requirements for everything concerning my own.

Hey guys, is there any reason in particular Nigerians get 2 years visa validity while some other nationality gets more.
I applied to the USA with two friends, Brazilian and Indian (they both got 10 years) even though it was their first application.

I mean I’m not shocked just kinda surprised. Lol
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Rahl007: 5:02pm On Mar 08, 2022
Hey guys, quick one please. My AOR is December 8th 2020 and from my last Gcms notes medicals is passed - expired. Now because my COR is Ireland, I don’t know if it’ll be extended or not. I’m waiting for the gcms notes I ordered a few weeks ago. As at December 2021, info sharing was complete and criminality passed but eligibility and security not started even after a year lol.
So my question is should I go for an upfront Remed (costs 365 euros here sad or should I just keep waiting for an update.

Apologies for the long text and thanks

Submitted on the 11th of July. Came home this evening and my package from the embassy was waiting for me. I have had two visa refusals (from Canada) in the past but travelled quite a bit too. Visa was approved! I tried as much as possible to submit a clean, honest application with as many supporting documents as possible. And honestly, I was a little worried still, especially because the last denial from Canada was less than a month before my Irish visa application. Anyways, School resumes mid september. I wish everyone still waiting for their stamped visas the best of luck!!!
Anyone going to or resuming in Dublin mid September? Hit me up please. I won't mind travel partner. Lol. smiley
