Yes I agree, we should have at-least a Trillion dollar economy for our population size, and 521 billion dollars is small for our population size, however reaching a Trillion dollar target requires all nigerians leader/lead to positively contribute.

I still consider it poor because most Nigerians survived on less than 2 dollars a day. Your calculation of 4400 dollars per capita is not really correct because you didn't account for the huge income inequality that occurs in Nigeria economy. Unlike China and US, we don't even have a huge middle class population. Its either you are rich or poor in Nigeria. I agree with your point that reaching a GDP of 1 trillion dollars will require Nigeria to have good leadership. However Nigeria is still classified as a poor country by UN, IMF and other international bodies.

A GDP of 521 billion dollars for a population of 175 million people makes no sense. There are countries with far smaller population of less than 30 million people that has a GDP of over 500 billion dollars.

America and Europe is different from Africa. In most western countries they have records and with a 10 dollars fee, name, SSN, date of birth and the internet, you can get someone life history like his previous places of employment, his credit report, his criminal records and other informations. forbes uses this tools to determine the wealth of individuals. Also they can get the tax filling of the individual if the individual grant them access to it. We need to learn how to keep records in Africa

I understand how the OP feels. I am 27 and I feel like I have not achieved much in life. I see some of my mates getting married and having kids. Its really depressing sometimes sha. I hope to get married and settle down by 30. we have to thank God in any situation we find ourselves

Are you a Nigeria? If the Nigerian Army sustain heavy causality in the process of fighting our battle should you not encourage them to continue fighting? Any media that report to favour the enemy is not to be allowed to publish any news. The news of own causality is a pride to show that the Army is in pine of fire saving all your scary heart with their own blood while you are here counting the losses and making fun of the your own gallant soldiers. That is if you are a Nigerian.

There is nothing wrong in reporting the deaths of our gallant soldiers. CNN reports the news of American soldiers killed in iraq and Afghanistan while bbc usually report the news of British soldiers killed. Its a way of informing the nation and honoring the dead soldiers so people can remember them and not brand them as unknown soldiers. however the media should support the army by encouraging them just like cnn and bbc support their army.

Its high time the government start to prosecute those army officials who fails to carry out their jobs to protect lives and properties of Nigerians. They should be charged with deserting their responsibility and post.
