A governor is more powerful in Nigeria politics than a DSP. he has access to more resources, immune from prosecution, An influential governor can even denied the party ticket of the senators if he chooses to. just like in Kaduna state. pls dont underestimate the power of a Nigerian governor. besides, what power does a DSP has? I dont think its a downgrade from a DSP to a governor

unfortunately, PDP best chance of winning the 2023 election is by fielding a northern candidate like Kwankwaso or Tambuwal. we all know APC will zone their ticket to likely the SW or maybe the SE (if the igbos in APC play their card well). so PDP should field a northern candidate to counter the APC votes in the North. the Hausa/ fulani people in the north will likely vote for a PDP northern candidate than an APC yoruba/igbo candidate. A southern PDP candidate will not have any chance of winning the north. Also PDP has STRONG political structure in the SE, NC and SS. so they will likely win those region in 2023 even if they field a northern candidate.

IF APC decide to go south west or south east in 2023 then they might lose the election if PDP zone their presidency to the North. voter apathy will be very very low in the South East compare to 2015 due to IPOB boycott so It will be a miracle if 50 percent of registered voters turn out to vote in the east. unfortunately the east is not going to determine the the outcome of the election

you seem to forget the 2007 elections which Atiku contested against Buhari and late Yaradua. he lost woefully and came a distant 3rd to Yaradua and Buhari. he could not even win his state Adamawa in 2007. Furthermore, they should make sure the front line is reinforced with thousands of heavily armed troops who will coordinate well with each other being Army,Air Force,intelligence services, civilian jtf etc.

The military procurement dept should be overhauled and calpable hands brought in to always do the needful.

Not to forget; What is DICON doing? Why is DICON(Nigeria Defence Industry) not pushing out guns,ammunitions,RPGs and mortals our for military use in the fight against Bokoharam? They should compliment the international arm purchase!!!!!! DICON manufacture all these!!!

Inconclusion, the Federal government and calpable Military top brass should ensure a prolonged and all out attack against Bokoharam, it sponsors and supporters after proper planning, tranning and stop given Bokoharam breathing space to always be on the offensive; this will stop our Military men and women who are on the front line from always being in the defensive and counter attacking positions to being at an advantage position against Bokoharam, it sponsors and supporters.

Yes we need to do more to euipped our military but I dont agree with you that the Boko HARAM TERRORISTS are more armed than our Army. Those boko haram fighters are a poorly trained rag tag militants with some of their fighters as young as 12- 18 yrs old. The only advantage they had was they had a higher morale and were fighting with nothing to lose like a suicide fighter. The major problem is the army moral is very low and their motivation to fight is low and they dont seems to have a clear defensive strategy when under attacked. I watched the latest attack video on the military base and the terrorist were not more than 50 in number yet they were able to ransack a military base with many soldiers.
