TV/Movies / Re: Indian Films by Rainbow: 12:21pm On Nov 09, 2006
I first saw an Indian movie in Trinidad W.I. There are a lot of pple of East Indian descent living there.

Indian films are beautifully directed. However, most films have the same storyline and lets face it they cannot dance in time to music (most are a second or two off the beat - like white pple cheesy).

It is sad that South Indian films don't get any respect, but I believe that is due to the "fair skin" factor. Wish all Indians could view and respect each other as equals. For a progressive 3rd world country, the colour and caste prejudices of most Indians need to catch up to the economy (u know what I mean, MOVE FORWARD).

Anyway, apart from that, my favourite actors are Amitabh Bachan and Shah Rukh Khan. To me all the actresses look and act the same, they are cute, but act fake (sorry) sad.

The best Indian film I ever saw was about a Sultana named Razia who fell in love with one of her servants/slave., but I don't remember the name of the movie.

My biggest crush was a Nigerian Doctor I met recently. I think he is very sexy (and married) so i convinced him that we should just remain friends
Family / Friendship Or Lovers by Rainbow: 5:26am On Jun 08, 2006
I am going through a problem.

I am a West Indian, who met a Nigerian man in December 2005.  I was interested in his culture and I constantly asked about different aspects of his Igbo culture.

As time progressed we started talking more and more and I noticed he was becoming more interested.  I wasn't aware that he wanted a sexual relationship with me, until just recently, about two months.  The problem is that he is married, and his wife is pregnant (7 months).

The other problem is, although I have been asked out by other married men, I have always refused, but as the weeks go by, I am becoming weaker and wish to be with this man, even though I know it is wrong.  He is the most persistant man I have ever met, and even though I am trying he is breaking me down.  I have even started having feelings for him (which of course, I will not reveal to him).

Is it a cultural thing for Nigerian men to cheat on their wives, esp when they are pregnant and in their final trimester?

Can u please reassure me that what I am doing is right, that by avoiding him I will be doing what is best.  I need reassurance from u out there so as not to fall into a trap.
Career / Re: Unemployment in Nigeria by Rainbow: 12:49pm On Apr 28, 2006
The problem with Nigeria is the horrible leadership, rampant corruption. I just cannot understand, why a country with the amount of oil it has - the roads, sanitation, other general infrastructure is so bad and/or not maintained and the unemployment rate is so high.

I have a Nigerian doctor friend, who told me, that as a West Indian, I should be glad that my ancestors were sold into slavery, because our lives in the Caribbean is so wonderful.

I was born in Trinidad, which is the only island in the Caribbean, which has oil. Our education, roads, lifestyle is so much better than Nigeria, our treasury is full and just recently the opposition minister was fined US$10000.00 and given 2 years with hard labour for not declaring some funds (he has in a London bank account, held jointly with his wife) to the integrity commission. Now this is transparency.

Nigeria can learn alot from our Caribbean leaders.

Nigeria definately needs new leadership, especially un-corrupt ones, who would try to do something about unemployment. Is there no National Insurance Scheme, which provides unemployment benefits. I mean, come on. How backward can a country be!!!! cry

Anyway, I will keep on praying for Nigeria, and keep praying for an improvement with the high unemployment rate.

TV/Movies / Re: Most Handsome Nigerian Actors by Rainbow: 9:51pm On Feb 19, 2006
I think Kalu Ikeagwu and Chidi Mokeme are hot. I do not think that Nigerian actors are conventionally "Good Looking" from a West Indian viewpoint.
Celebrities / Re: Ramsey Noah or Desmond Elliot? by Rainbow: 9:35pm On Feb 19, 2006
Neithe Ramsey nor Desmond is hot grin
Celebrities / Re: Chidi Mokeme Vs Pat Attah: Who Is More Handsome? by Rainbow: 9:33pm On Feb 19, 2006

I think Chidi is hotter than Pat. Chidi is more bad-boy, Pat - He needs to tone his body
