The Chairman and Chief Executive of Chisco Transport Company Limited, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu has taken his business acumen into the Aviation sector. The Anambra business mogul is following the footprints of his fellow compatriot, Dr Obiora Okonkwo who floated the United Nigeria Airlines, a couple of months ago. Sources say the transport guru had perfected plans to float an airline to be called Havila Air, in a shortest possible time. It was not stated when the state of the art aircrafts will grace the airspace but Drumnewsonline gathered exclusively that the Okeiyi Amichi had gone far in his preparations and would soon take off. http://drumnewsonline.com/chisco-transport-boss-anyaegbu-floats-airline/

Lalasticlala Pls take this to front page, maybe buhari and his goons will see this and receive healing from their wickedness |
Another feather on the great cap of incompetence This here is what happens when you vote out of spite. Remember when they said they’re voting buhari “to deal with igbos”? Now the only people thriving are the igbos because they are largely self employed. |
Africa’s biggest economy is also one of its sickest.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2021-03-26/next-africa-nigeria-heads-for-a-record-nobody-wants?cmpid%3D=socialflow-twitter-africa&utm_content=africa&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

The promising young driver was recently crowned FIA European karting champion 13:00 22.03.21 McLaren Racing today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with Ugo Ugochukwu, the promising young driver from the USA, who was recently crowned FIA European karting champion. The 13-year-old American has proven to be a revelation, already securing several titles in his young career in the US and Europe, and most recently winning the 2020 FIA OKJ European Championship. The agreement provides McLaren Racing with an option on Ugo’s services in the future, while supporting his development and evolution as he progresses through the junior categories of motorsport. Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing, said: “We’ve been watching Ugo’s progress with interest, so when the opportunity to sign an agreement with him became available, we had no hesitation moving on it. Now we’ll focus on giving Ugo the right support when he needs it to help him fulfil his potential.” Andreas Seidl, Team Principal, McLaren F1, said: “Ugo is a promising young talent with strong development prospects. While he is still early in his career, it is clear he has the ingredients to be successful in the sport. This signing reflects our refocused approach to identifying and supporting new talent, away from a formal young driver programme to a more tailored basis.” Ugo Ugochukwu, said: “I’m honoured to be signed by such an iconic team as McLaren Racing so early in my career. To have the support of McLaren is fantastic and what any young driver dreams of. I’m focused right now on developing as a driver and racer, so having McLaren by my side can only help me on and off the track.” https://www.mclaren.com/racing/team/mclaren-racing-signs-agreement-rising-karting-star-ugo-ugochukwu/

I love how fast awka is moving

Talking about peace without bringing those purveyors of anarchy to justice is in futility. |
It started with “I’ll vote buhari so he would deal with the igbos” to this? God has a marvelous way for fighting for his people This man has a noble cause but I fear the people he fights for would immolate him in a bid to please their masters for repose. They have an amorphous political stance which hedges on voting to despise people of the East |
Child Labour: Children Affairs Commissioner, Mezue, moves to stop the trend in Awka and Environs Recently, there was an increase in the number of child hawkers and children bearing squeegee tools in the Awka capital city even during school hours. To arrest the ugly trend, the Honourable Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue Ada Dioramma and her team yesterday, 12th March, 2021 raided some flashpoints where the activities were more noticed like Amawbia Express, Kwata and Amawbia bypass (nwalusi junction) respectively. In her remarks after the exercise, the Commissioner observed that there was an increase in the rate of squeegee children within Awka capital city and beyond, with other evidences of child labour that are exploitative and contradicts the child's rights Law which the State is signatory to. Lady Mezue informed that Anambra State Government frowns at child labour in any guise and reiterated that any child seen at such hours during week days will be arrested and sent to school. " There is need for continuous enforcement of the Child Rights Law, which will stop parents/guardians from sending their wards to hawk wares or indulge in other labour during school hours", she said. The Commissioner counselled the children and warned them not to return to the streets again. I-Witness Report 13.3.2021 https://www.facebook.com/100000853099449/posts/3934250886613309/?d=n

Focus on the Awka City Stadium Day 13 By James Eze It has always been something of an irony that for all her array of sporting talents, Anambra State does not have a standard sporting facility. From Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Nigeria’s first Commonwealth Gold Medalist to Innocent Egbunike the Olympic Bronze Medalist, Mary Onyali, two times Olympic Bronze Medalist, Francis Obikwelu, Olympic Silver Medalist and Uchenna Emedolu, Olympic Silver Medalist, Anambra has contributed quality athletes that brought honour to Nigeria. And in football, Anambra’s Emmanuel Okala is Nigeria’s first winner of the African Footballer of the Year award. The state also parades legendary footballers like, Silvanus Okpala, Kenneth Boardman, Aloysius Atuegbu, Keneth Ilodigwe, Arthur Egbuna, Chimezie Nwanaga, Louis Igwillo, Ifeanyi Onyedika, Amaechi Otti, Okwuchukwu Obiora, Charles Okonkwo, Ikechukwu Ofoje, Obinna Nsofor, Mikel Obi, Victor Anichebe as well as the ace Commentator, Ernest Okonkwo. It is therefore something of a surprise that the state has no stadium of its own. What Anambra has are two privately owned stadiums; Rojenny Sports Stadium and Gabros International Stadium now rechristened Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium. However the two facilities are not located in the state capital, Awka. They are located in Oba and Nnewi respectively. As a fast developing capital city, Awka needs modern facilities for leisure, sports, recreation, conferences, lifestyle and business. Well, Governor Obiano has now built a stadium in Awka. Located in the heart of the city, a little over six months ago, this glittering stadium in the photographs below was a piece of abandoned land where daring Fulani herders grazed their cattle. But work has reached advanced stages on the stadium which was designed as a compact sporting facility with a covered stand, swanky dressing rooms, an electronic scoreboard, Fifa-standard pitch and Olympic-standard tartan tracks for sprinters. The facility was designed to accommodate future expansion possibilities and still retain a large parking space. And so, finally, residents of Awka will have access to modern sporting and recreational facilities that will boost their hopes for an improved lifestyle and reduce the pressure on Alex Ekwueme Square which was not conceived as a facility for sports but has been converted to one by expediency. Once again, Governor Willie Obiano has left an indelible footprint in an area where it matters a lot…Sports. In the video clip below, Chief Tony Oli, the Chairman of Anambra State Sports Development Commission speaks about the Awka City Stadium. https://www.facebook.com/1659468978/posts/10216474411527033/?d=n

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to voice their discernment over the propitious group of cattle herders in Nigeria, miyetti allah, driving in a heavily armored motorcade with a presidential seal to their name.

Some people would have nightmares with this levels of development in anambra. |
Awesome. Steadily..we’re getting there I saw the icc in awka being constructed..wasn’t impressed By the roof selection |
Simplyleo should go fight for his people.. It’s not everytime he’s on nairaland, mouthing off on igbos and being insufferable |
Who else notice when the north is addressing the East, they’re more respectful in their utterances? But when they come to address the west, it’s filled the threats and caveats? |
Why? Cos a particular region is starting to experience what we warned them would happened if they towed that path? I beg to differ. When they were warned, they called us wailers, politically inconsequential etc..while the rest of us geared up for the inevitable. Everyone should Dey there Dey.. |
...and igbos are their problem? Goes to show that the yorubas only mouth off on igbo matters while they can’t even band together to defend themselves. What a people |
