barcasanmi:Congratulations on your admission. It is worth celebrating especially as it is an engineering course. Sorry, did you apply with Diploma? From which Institution, and what was your CGPA? Congrats once again! |
Congratulations to Lady Rayshell24 for her success in the Direct Entry Admission struggle. Have you checked yours too? Were you admitted? I haven't been able to verify the List myself as the Admission website is as heavy as anything right now. |
vivieG:cc: Dearpiriye and Rayshell24 |
buzzykrane:13/16 points right? Well, nobody knows anyone's chances. But with your points as a pointer to your Academic excellence, you sure have an edge over impending other applicants. Keep the hope alive and never do keep prayers wanting. |
jidebabs8:Unfortunately sir, University of Ibadan only does accept Second Class Upper as requirements from Degree applicants. |
folakemi95:Miss, I'm really sorry. Unfortunately, the 2016/2017 Direct Entry form had closed since August. Next DE application is expected to commence for the Next Admission year, April 2017. |
Obakenny01:Hi bro! Well there is secrecy in the method University of Ibadan Admissions Unit devices in grading Direct Entry Candidates. Hence, those methods are very confidential and never made public. However, the belief outdoor is that the Post Secondary Result ie, A/Levels, ND, HND or NCE carries large chunk of grading percentage to O'levels. Something around 60/40. But these are mere hypothesis. |
hamper247:none for now bro. Hope you're on the whatsapp groups anyway? |
Ron9ja:why not? of course yes! But the course would now change to Medical Laboratory Science [MLS]. The minimum requirement for ALL National Diploma Direct Entry Applicants is UPPER CREDIT! |
fegzy1:The cutoff mark is ONLY for the Jambites. Direct Entry Admission List would be released at any point in time immediately after the Merit List is out. The merit List is expected to be released between this week and next. |
cutiedave:what course did you study and which are you applying for in University of Ibadan? |
Lalasticlala, where art thou? This should make a good frontpage reading. The treatise is so concise with the use of good english and vocabularies. Kudos to Mr Tobi Idowu aka 'Oracle' for this breathtaking writeup. |

something so close to that my brother... |
paul4sure:well, noone can say for sure the exact time. But at the moment, reports from the Admission Office has it that "work is already ongoing on the transcripts received". With this piece of information at hand, I think it would be better if you can buckleup and snap-up the submission because, the Online registration closed just yesterday, October 6th. Bottomline: try to ensure you get it submitted next week to avoid stories that touch. |
Btolulope:Screening as how? Pls expanciate the more. But if what you mean is registration, pls be informed that the Direct Entry registration has closed since yesterday, October 6th. Even though there is no harm in trying, but reports has it that MIS was coerced into postponing the deadline to the aforestated date owing to lots of registration complaints et al in which the registration had initially been suspended on Mon or Tue. |
cutiedave:well, in as much as that has always been rumored but nonetheless, in every rumour, there should always exist an iota of truth. These are my opinions: 1. all Federal Polytechnics throughout the country should be greatly preferred, especially those in Southwestern Nigeria eg, Yabatech, Federal Poly, Ilaro, Federal Poly, Ede, federal Poly, Ekiti etc 2. state Polytechnics, with preference to The Polytechnic, Ibadan, whom shares the same state with UI; other state Polys' eg, Mapoly, Laspotech etc 3. however, pls note that the Polytechnic graduating grade better known as the Cumulative Grade Point Average, (CGPA) is the most essential and important of all and... 4. let's not forget University of Ibadan has catchment areas in all the 36 states of the federation. I really hope these helps....... |
Ayobami0411:Yes, same amount: it goes for N2,750. ...and no, you can also pay via Mastercard. |
maot:Rumors has it that Registration ends Next Week Monday. |
Okay, let's blame Buhari for plunging Nigeria into recession. He caused it afterall. Lalasticlala food is ready o. |
horeholuwah:You've been added to the groups. Pls ask your questions now. |
johnwizey:were you admitted too? |
johnwizey:my Guy how far na? Bawo ni Admission o? Has Direct Entry candidates names also been released? |
neyosquare1988:name pls.. |
LeMubs:eh ya... |
neyosquare1988:just hold on until your transcript is ready. Only then can you submit together with your credentials. Meanwhile it's submission is still very active. As at this date, the cumulative number count of already-submitted transcripts is 1,845. Hurry up. It is still on for now as the university management hasn't set a deadline yet. But pls, do hurry up. Dazzol. |
Followin like twitter. . . Meanwhile, congratulations on your HND Admission. |
Finally and finally! If University of Ibadan doesn't release theirs before the week runs out make I know wetin cause am. |
dadsom202:with the CGPA you've stated on the other thread, I'd advise you stick with Computer Engineering. I can explain. 08132473899. Give me a call when opportuned.. |
dadsom202:with the CGPA you've stated on the other thread, I'd advise you stick with Computer Engineering. I can explain. 08132473899. Give me a call when opportuned. |
dadsom202:to the best of my understanding, that's not actually true. Computer Engineering is a sub-trajectory of Electrical Engineering. That is, computer engr was originally culled from Electrical. That's why majority of the core electrical courses are taken as joint classes together with computer engineering students. So, those assertions are wrong and incorrect. But in this case, if your CGPA ain't really strong enough, say of Distinction or something closely related, then, as a computer engineering ND graduate, you shouldn't apply for Electrical. Instead, you should apply straightaway for Computer. Intra-departmental courses application are very well acceptable as long as it circumnavigates within the same faculty with the same course requirements. Anyother thing is non-acceptable and perhaps, obtaining a DE Change of Course and Institution form would be a preferable resort to avert total ineligibility. Prevention they say, is better than cure. Be smart! |
