Programming / Re: Java Vs C Sharp by rancetech(m): 8:50pm On Oct 31, 2008
I strongly believe the dude who started this thread is seeking for guidance, he wants to know what's more powerful & at same time where both languages would be in the future.

What I would advise is; learn JAVA first if you haven't and as your skills in JAVA increases you can then move to C#.
JAVA is a very simple programming language and a very powerful one at that. I believe if you learn JAVA, C# would be very easy for you. It's just like migrating from Visual Basic to .NET. It's that simple. Learn and use both, you won't regret you did.

Programming / Re: I Want To Be A Programmer But I Don't Like Mathematics. by rancetech(m): 7:25pm On Oct 29, 2008
I used to hate maths right from my primary school, and boy I was very bad with numbers but I excelled in every other subjects.

I did electronics in secondary school, studied computer science in tertiary. I just managed to get my butt out of there.
They thought me nonsense there, always calculation, even the lecturers couldn't handle computers very well.

I started self-study immediately I left school, now I'm very good in mathematics.

What I'm trying to say in effect is that your programming enthusiasm & skills will definitely increase your math skills thereby making you a great mathematician.

You can program without knowing mathematics, but it won't get you far.

This is what you need to do:

Pick up a programming language, preferably JAVA, learn it very well whilst also learning algebra, Trigonometry and calculus.
It did wonders for me and I believe it will work for any one.

What would you do if you were given an access to download all these e-books and software that I'm about to show you now?

How much are you willing to pay for them? And what if I go on to tell you that they all come with master resell rights and professionally designed sales page for you to sell and keep the change?

Well, the e-books and software are worth more than N900,000 not to talk of the master resell rights and the professionally designed sales page plus the free hosting.

I'm not going to post any website here, cos I know how skeptical some of you are, I'll just show you all the books and software. You are going to get access to download each and every one of them.

Just explore them for now, I'll tell you how to access them later.

You read that right, get all the internet money making e-books you can ever think of. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars buying online money making e-books for life again. I'll give you access to download e-books worth more than N900,000.

The most interesting part of it is that they all come with resell rights, so you can sell them and keep the 100% profits you make from it just like I'm doing.

They also come with professionally designed sales page for you site.

I use GTBank for my current, dormiciliary and master card accounts. They are the best, there's no argument about that. I just hope it wont get to their heads.

You can withdraw N100 with your atm card, isn't that amazing?
Business / Menace of Yahoo Yahoo Biz (internet Fraud) Let's Rub Minds by rancetech(m): 6:42pm On Oct 16, 2008
The main reason why I started this thread is to enable the fraudsters learn something good from us and probably change their attitude and line of biz. So your comments and advices are really going to help. Thanks.

Personally I think people who make money through such fraudulent means don't make it to the end. Nothing good comes from those money cause it's cursed. It's just a temporary enjoyment that will end with tears and regrets.

Let's rub minds please. The whole thing is getting on my nerves.

If you know how I can go about it and the best shipping company to use or even the best supplements company please let me know ASAP. Thanks.

Programming / Re: Greatest Programming Books (Must Have!) by rancetech(m): 10:43pm On Sep 29, 2008
@yawa
The books are awesome, just admit it. & nobody is trying to chop anybody's head.

yawa-ti-de:

@ghengis:
so how about, "all, here are the books that I have found to be very useful/helpful in my development endeavors. If any of you have read any of these, it would be nice to know your opinions about them. Perhaps you all will find these useful as well."

I think the above is better than, "greatest programming books (must have!). I think it's rather misleading. Again, for the umpteenth time, I am not taking away from any of the books. Just the thread title (make person no chop my head biko tongue).

We are all speaking the same language, useful, helpful or whatever, it still boils down to being great.

Isn't it funny how people's understanding varies?
I said Greatest Programming Books & somebody's telling me about Programming Languages.

@ebot
To be a great programmer, you need to learn how to understand lots of things very extensively including a simple post.
