I have worked with the tiles adhesive in Nigeria when doing dried ready mixed screeding. What they call tile adhesive is basically inert fillers and cellulose thickeners to allow proper flow of mortar and help retain water for proper hydration of cement.
To improve bonding, simply add pva as suggested.

You go buy adhesive tire and will be like using adhesive for heavy mortals carrying the tiles

Tiles adhesive doesn't require mixing with OPC or Sand, just mix with water. And it's used on cemented or plastered surface.
If you aren't convinced with the type he's using, you can get from Master Builder, Sika, Purechem, Costarchem etc...

Do Tilers mix Tile Adhesive with regular OPC cement and sand?

My Tiler is requesting for both and it's very expensive using both and the Tile Adhesive he showed me looks like repackaged regular cement at 2500 per 5kg.

P.S: The Tile Adhesive he is using is called IBB Super Gum (I can't find it anywhere online)

Pop cement Screeding has a finer & smoother finish than normal black cement! Black cement has a tendency of crack if not properly mixed & applied! If he wants to use Black cement ask him to add water proof cement (dr fix - water proof) with enough adhesive.

Too much materials . If you buy the premixed screeding from Gbadexy, it will give you a better quality result at a more cheaper price.

4 drums of paint
5kg of topbond
3 bags of cement.

I initially thought it's 5kg topbond per drum of paint and the cement he recommended is the normal building cement, what is the advantage of this over the typical POP/White cement?

Hi Everyone,

I went to inspect a project yesterday whose plumbing was just finished. I noticed the water pressure from the water outlets indoor is low.

What i mean is that I expect the water from the kitchen faucet, wash hand basins and the shower mixer to gush. But the water is rather just coming out with no pressure at all.

The compound tap outside gushes with pressure tho.

What could be the problem? Could it be the product used?

Can a 4 inch pipe serve 4 bathrooms (and kitchens) from 4 units of 1 bedroom flat. To be clear, the plumber run all connections to the Septic tank with a 4 inch PVC pipe. But a friend that was sent to survey the work is suggesting we change the pipe that takes from the chamber (where all 4 flats have been connected) to the Septic tank ( 23m distance) into 6 inch pipe. His reason is that 4 inch pipe would block easily. Is this correct?

Don’t panicked your plumber is right, just only four toilets, in most cases in a residential buildings the waste pipes are usually 4”
But in my own case I do make used of 6” pipe once my toilets are more than 6-7 in a single line this will save any unwanted blockage of chambers, I adopted this system about 12years ago , the 1st building I did with this system never for once experienced blockage since that year till today same as others buildings

Your plumber is right... 100mm(4inches) pipe is okay for the waste water to your soakaway pit. That's the normal practice

I was there for 10 days as well, hope not the same company we worked for...

They booked hotel for us and after 2 nights we discovered we have been spending 25k per night in that average room as far back 2007 when the same room here is about 2k or 3k. The taxi is standard, sometimes Benz and good cars. 7 krones is about N7k then and common hand gloves is about 11 krones.

I actually ate rice but most of there menu is bullshit and tasteless flowers and salad. The only food I ate well is rice and chicken. Norway is so cold and could go upto - 23 deg. They are nice people and the subway works fine. Look at Erling Halland well, that's how most of them look like. They are yellowish albinos.

There are no bandits or kidnappers, you could walk all night if you are cold proof. They don't know what is stock fish, I ask and asked, they don't know but it could have another name.

They don't use Euros in their country because, according to them, the Euro is heavily manipulated therefore, you have to change your euro at the air port.

So many good experiences sha but no big nyashhh or good meals.. Nigeria sweet pass am if not for the idiots at the top.
