They have their academic calendar stable, and nothing can truncate it. So where the Islam comes from, they know how to manage their time effectively to be productive all year round. With all the self-acclaimed best universities in the SW, how many of them have been ale to make top 20 here in Africa? They're not worth what we call them. Besides, every state is responsible for sending out certain number of their indigens for exchange program overseas, but South West is not living up to expectation in this regard, those northern governors are still committed to this course.

There's something wrong somewhere. This huge amount, yet there's no positive impact in the lives of the citizens.

Northern governors are known for doing this, it's not new in the north. It's done to encourage their indigens. When I was serving in Sokoto 13 years ago, Governor Wammako sent high number of medical students abroad in exchange program. Same thing in Kebbi State. Students in engineering, medical field and so on were being sent abroad to complete their degree overseas. They already have solid arrangement with some Unis abroad for exchange program. U will never hear such a thing in the South West.

He changed my school to a private school, it became worst...I took the last position 56/56.

It was as if the earth should swallow me. I was scared he's gonna kill me. He came back and to my surprise he shook my hand and encouraged me to put more effort.

That smile and hand shake encouraged me to do all I can to make him proud. The next term, my position was 9/56. I saw my Dad so happy and proud of me and till today I don't do things to disappoint him.
