Music/Radio › Eva - Make Em Say - Is This The Best Hip Hop Track By A Naija Femcee Ever? by rapjunkie(op): 10:26am On Dec 30, 2009
I have listened to this track numerous times and played it to a few friends of mine.

I am yet to hear a hip hop track by any naija female emcee that is better  than this track.

If this girl keeps on the way she is going she will without doubt be crowned as the reigning queen of naija hip hop.

That means mo'cheddah, blaise, sasha, kel, bouqui, kemi, zara, e.t.c all have to put in some serious work or they will get annihilated by this girl

Am I right?

2010 will be Mode's year. JUST WATCH OUT!!!! Big things a gwan.

Nobody can deny that Mode is a rap bully. This song is another hit. The most prolific MC Naija has EVER seen.

In as much as I like MI ( sometimes, minus all the pointless collabos he seems to do), he aint got nothing on Mode in  this form.  tongue

All hail Modenine. . . . . . the reigning KING of Naija hip hop. cool

After reviewing the results, I have have sacked my campaign managers with immediate effect grin grin grin grin grin

Anyways, well done Tosin, both u and eldee dey try for this music section.

However, my favorite poster has to be Sauron who brought pure drama to the section.  A man who refused to back down even when everybody ganged up against him. . . . .No retreat no surrender

His battles with Bamsyle  are legendary and provided me with much amusement

Music/Radio › Re: Who Sang The "do For Love" Hook By Tupac? by rapjunkie(m): 4:33pm On Dec 25, 2009
"Do for Love" (Originally titled 'Sucka 4 Luv' in its unreleased form) was the second posthumously released single by Tupac Shakur from his first posthumous album R U Still Down? (Remember Me). The vocal sample is from "What You Won't Do for Love" by Bobby Caldwell but the song actually rechopped J Dilla's production on a remix of the The Pharcyde's track Y?, and his name was omitted from the production credits. It charted at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video contained Tupac as a clay figure and a cartoon figure; this song also uses a quote from Sir Walter Scott ("O, what a tangled web we weave"wink.

chiogo:
As a Jigga fan, I'll like to believe that he was implying like the saying goes , "Heaven helps those who help themselves" in Empire State of Mind, whien he said the "Jesus can’t save your life starts when the church ends".
Thats always been my understanding of that line. If you go to church on a Sunday but forget to hustle from Monday to saturday you will end up broke. . . i.e Jesus will not save you
Inasmuch as he was wrong to say Jesus can't save you. Its not as blasphemous as these Anti-Jay-Z peeps are painting it as what he implied was what you typed above
true dat.

Everybody seems to be on Jay Z's d_ck. People do not understand how he has sustained this level of success for so long. The most ever No1 albums in the US. He is officially a living legend and JUST turned 40. . . . . . surely there must be an evil explanation. . . . .  . . Thats it!!! He worships the devil!!!. . . . . Give me a break. . . jeeeeeez!!! still have nothing to say huh? . . . ,  let me break it down for you since u need to be spoon fed. . . . . Its usually difficult for skilled battlerappers to crossover and break through to the mainstream.  Do you think SJ can from his latest effort?

Hi Guyz we very sorry for the delay. I was able to come up with something out of my tight schedule. Your constructive criticisms are welcome.
I really like this. Just need to amend the typo from 'Nija' to 'Naija' and to put ' and others' because there some tracks that are not included on the design.

Please send me an email at rapjunkie@hotmail.co.uk and I will give you the complete list.

Thanks

I am sorry BUT M.I's safe was not a very good video. The song is about 15 mins long and the video was boring. . . . how much can you do with a green screen?

PLUS they made MI look like an elf in some of the shots. The camerawork could have been better.

Oshamo by Teeto and Suspect was a better video. . . . . and why the f_ck is jim iyke' s video on this list?

I seriously ( no pun intended) like this song. In verse 2 he takes light shots at a few rappers including luda who dropped him from the DTP label  . .  . . . .   does anybody really want to start beef with Mr Jones?

I hope he does well cos its hard to cross over from battlerap freestyle to proper music but  I have listened to his tracks and think he stands a chance.

Also check his website at www.getserius.com

It is with great sadness and sorrow that I feel compelled to announce my resignation from this corrupt process. lalaboi has bowed to pressure exerted by Punchlinee, Cherisa, sauron e.t.c

The rules have been changed without a referendum or consultation. I have reported this matter to the EFCC who have assured me that they are looking into the matter and that charges will soon be brought.
