SportsRe: Ighalo Poses With His Man Of The Match Award by rapthugx(m): 6:34am On Jul 07, 2019
GodSaklek:
I have been saying it and I will repeat it, South Africa are most organized team in the tournaments, I have been watching their game for a long time, they have a solid defefence, and fast attack, they will beat super eagle if eagle play the way they played against Madagascar and Cameroon.. I don't expect anyone to underestimate them, they are very dangerous, don't forget that they defeated super eagle in quallifers at home here in Nigeria,if u compare their performance against Egypt and our performance against Cameroon, u will realise that South Africa teams are better than us, beside, I don't trust our defence with the way its shaken, they conceded 4 goals in two matches, oyinbos wall has been broken,
Leave grammar, this same South Africa side that lost to Morocco and Ivory Coast in group stage of the tournament.
They are not better than Nigeria, their game plan worked on the day that is all.

SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Cameroon: AFCON (3 - 2) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 5:51pm On Jul 06, 2019
I have always said it. Our problem is our forward movement. Looks like our defence has added to our problems. If you can't attack, you won't score. Whether we like it or not we need somebody like Victor Moses who can run with the ball n create space for himself and others.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Cameroon: AFCON (3 - 2) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 5:43pm On Jul 06, 2019
Good cross for that Cameroon goal. This is the type of cross Ighalo needs. Our crosses are not good enough.

Why is this old man nt playing chukwueze na
Chukwueze can come in the 2nd half to disturb the tiring Cameroon defence.

Nigeria should try long range shot abeg

Femeto:
Ighalo wasn't Isolated he can't take on defenders. That's why he should have played other strikers. Oynekuru was on the bench. We only needed a draw to win the group. The mindset of our coach is poor. He should have tried the other strikers we haven't seen today. The starting 11 was poor. Dey had just 1 shot on target.
The guy was isolated abeg, he had DMs playing behind him and our wingers were not helping him either.

worldclass68:
I think the motion of this game was to rest some palyers and test few others, ( won't blame coach on that, some of us here called for that) however ighalo shouldn't have started as well because I'm quite sure Nigeria is not that good with crossing especially from the flanks, I was expecting Oyenkuru not that Ighalo again, I hope the coach don learn his lesson by now.

Pls return Akpeyi, ( was not his fan after all)

No more oyinbo wall abeg. Ekong and omeruo

Always Ndidi and Etebo

Mikel can even hang his boots now, always iwobi abeg ( wished we have alternative)

Chukwueze and Simon Moses seem ok, cuz the later is very good with crossing.

Let just play with mobility ( just like we did in the yr 2013) not just stupid longball always and use Onyekuru upfront for God sake instead of sluggish Onuachu and Ighalo..
Akpeyi may return but Ezenwa was not at fault for any of the goals.
SportsRe: Madagascar Vs Nigeria: AFCON 2019 (2 - 0) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 7:03pm On Jun 30, 2019
We should get natural full backs, playing central defenders and DMs there is not helping our attack in any way.
SportsRe: Madagascar Vs Nigeria: AFCON 2019 (2 - 0) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 6:58pm On Jun 30, 2019
Our major problem is creating chances, Ighalo was isolated. Our crosses were too close to the goalkeeper. Lastly coach should not make the mistake of playing Mikel as an attacking midfielder, I can't remember him making any meaningful forward pass.
SportsRe: Madagascar Vs Nigeria: AFCON 2019 (2 - 0) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 6:38pm On Jun 30, 2019
If we lose this match we will likely meet Cameroon or Ghana in the next round. Na die be this o!

SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Burundi: AFCON 2019 (1 - 0) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 7:24pm On Jun 22, 2019
The annoying part is we are not creating any clear cut chances, I wonder how the team will fare against stronger opposition like Senegal or even Ivory Coast.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Burundi: AFCON 2019 (1 - 0) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 6:53pm On Jun 22, 2019
Nigerians will not seize to amaze me, coach play Ighalo problem, he no play Ighalo problem

My problem with Rohr is his midfield trio of Ndidi, Etebo and Mikel, is it the best trio we have in our midfield or out of respect for Burundi?

Like somebody said, we lack a player in the mould of V. Moses who can take on defenders.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Burundi: AFCON 2019 (1 - 0) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 1:04pm On Jun 18, 2019
At least a 2-0 win is a good way to start AFCON
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs France: FIFA Women's World Cup (0 - 1) Full Time by rapthugx(m): 9:45pm On Jun 17, 2019
I don't understand what IFAB and FIFA wants to achieve with this new rule, but with a 1-0 score line, we should be thru to the next round.

People can castigate this team as they like, but we are still in this game. The girls are giving it their all. We are playing a team ranked among the top 5 in the world, a country that has one of the best women leagues in Europe. The girls are trying.
