And a joke
There's this newly wed couple about to spend their first night together,as they were undressing the following converstaion ensued:

"What happened to your feet?" his wife asked.

"I had a childhood disease called tolio."

"Don't you mean polio?"

"No, tolio, it only affects the toes."

He then removed his pants and revealed an
awful looking pair of knees.

"What happened to your knees?", she asked.

"Well, I also had kneesles."

"Don't you mean measles?"

"No, kneesles, it only affects the knees."

When he removed his shorts his wife gasped and
said, "Don't tell me, you also had smallcox!"

Arsenal Boss Wenger Confirms That Gunners Will Be Fully Active In Transfer Market - Big Names Expected Before EURO 2008

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated that he is fully aware that players need to be brought in during the summer transfer window to strengthen the squad, with the Frenchman looking to secure some big name transfers before the EURO 2008 Finals begin on June 7.

"I know what I want and I am very confident,” said Wenger. "I hope to turn that around in the next two or three weeks. The fans should be re-assured by what they see."

"It would be better to buy someone who has played in England because they are less risky, but it costs more money if they are from the Premier League - maybe I will try to do both."

"It doesn't look like we have no team and we have to build a team. We were unbeaten at home and that is only the second time in the history of the club. We have done that with young players who will be better next season."

"If we are winners we come back and do it and that is what I expect from my team. I think the big core of the team is ready to come back and fight, and that all of them are determined to come back and win.

"Like every big disappointment you have in life you go through a period where you have to swallow and digest it and think 'Where do I go from here? Do I feel sorry for myself or do I fight and do something different?'.

"After a while the players come together and there is a good togetherness in the squad. I feel they have created something special," finished the Gunners boss.

Hmmmmmmmmm, fingers crossed for the red-highlighted portion

Arsenal to break transfer record for £16m Flamini replacement: Well worth the money if it’s true!\

Here is the latest story linking the AW with a transfer to break the long overdue record transfer of Mr Wiltord.

Portuguese international Miguel Veloso is according to reports the defensive midfielder Gunners boss Arsene Wenger seeks to replace the departed Mathieu Flamini with this summer.

“I do not know if this was my last game for Sporting,” £16m rated Veloso told reporters after Sporting beat Porto 2-0 in Sunday’s final. “Let’s see what the future holds for Miguel.

“England may be a good destination but I do not know anything about the offers.” (East London and West Essex Guardian)

22 year old Veloso would be a good replacement for Flamini and the major stumbling blocks for such a move would be;
a) the price and
b) the fact that Manscum are also said to be very interested in adding yet another Portuguese man to their playing squad.

So what d'you guys think of this latest "transfer rumour"

UBA, Arsenal FC Strike Financial Services DealThisday 05.28.2008

The growing popularity of English Premier League among Nigerian football fans is yielding dividends, with the officials of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc and Arsenal Football Club of England signing an exclusive and strategic partnership deal at the Emirates Stadium in London yesterday.
The deal, which covers the West African sub-region, will see UBA collaborate on a variety of Arsenal financial services and grassroots football initiatives.
UBA is reputed as the sub-region’s largest financial services institution while Arsenal, acclaimed exponent of beautiful football, is arguably the most supported club in Nigeria,
The financial services deal includes co-branded electronic payment solutions such as debit and credit cards for consumers in all West African locations where UBA currently operates.
UBA will also build football pitches for youth development across the sub-region, with the technical support of Arsenal which has a high number of African players in its team.
At a press briefing at the Emirates Stadium yesterday, Mrs Angela Nwabuoku, Executive Director, Products and Segment Banking, UBA, said the partnership supports the bank’s commitment to developing grassroots football in Africa and the bank’s strategy to spearhead the use of electronic banking products on the continent.
“African youths yearn for inspiration. They need to be inspired and given opportunities to nurture their talents and achieve their dreams of becoming successful football stars. This strategic alliance and other UBA football related initiatives will go a long way towards achieving this,” she said.
The Commercial Director of Arsenal, Mr. Adrian Ford, said Arsenal has “successfully developed a number of similar commercial and technical partnerships across the world but this represents the club's first significant financial services partnership in the Africa continent”.
He added: ''This partnership with UBA represents an exciting opportunity for us. We are aware that Arsenal has an exceptionally strong following in Africa and we look forward to working with the bank in the development of financial services and football at grassroots level. The partnership will enable us to develop a closer affiliation with our supporters and give many fans the opportunity to visit Emirates Stadium, receive Arsenal merchandise and win shirts signed by our first team squad.”
The partnership will see UBA and Arsenal renovate pitches across West Africa, with 12 pitches in Nigeria to be laid with artificial surfaces initially.
“This will provide a durable and lasting facility for local players and we'll also provide local support with visits to the region by our community coaches,” Ford said.
He said discussions started a little over three months ago, joking: “Our courtship was short, but we are in for a long marriage.”
UBA expects that the debit cards would be rolled out in West Africa within the next three months.

CHECK THIS JOKE OUT

A man goes to the pet store and buys an expensive
talking parrot. At home, he finds this parrot
swears like a sailor.

A conservative church going man, this bird's foul
mouth was driving him crazy.

One day, it was too much, so the man grabbed the
bird by the throat, shook him really hard, and
yelled, "Stop your filthy talk!"

This just made the bird mad and he swore more than
ever.

The man was furious and said,"OK, that's it!
You're getting punished for this!" and locked poor
bird in a dark cabinet.

This aggravated the bird to no end and he clawed
and scratched until the man finally let him out.
The bird proceeded to curse the man with a
dreadful stream of invectives.

At that point the poor man was so mad he threw the
bird into the freezer. For the first few seconds
there was a terrible din. The bird kicked and
clawed and thrashed. Then it suddenly got VERY
QUIET!

He started to think that the bird may have been
hurt. After a few of minutes of silence, he's
become so worried that he opened up the freezer
door.

The bird calmly climbed onto the man's out-
stretched arm and says, "I'm so sorry about the
trouble I gave you. I'll do my best to improve
my vocabulary from now on."

The man was astounded. He couldn't understand the
transformation that had come over the parrot.

Then the parrot said, "By the way, what did the
chicken do?"
