Like he said your target broker will tell you what to do |

Portsmouth midfielder ‘didn’t feel good enough’ at Arsenal Many have cited Arsene Wenger’s decision to allow Lassana Diarra leave in January as a reason why Arsenal lost some serious momentum in the Premier League title race. While it’s probably absurd to suppose that a squad player (albeit a very good one) was central to any hopes the Gunners had of winning the league, the Frenchman may well have been made to feel more welcome if Arsene Wenger had known that Mathieu Flamini was jumping ship to Milan before the season ended. The Independent reveals that Diarra never felt as though he could please his former manager at The Emirates Stadium, despite what he felt were some very strong performances when he had the opportunity to play. The midfielder has a chance to be an FA Cup winner with Portsmouth this Saturday and doesn’t exactly have anything complimentary to say about his old club. “I don’t think about Arsenal now, I am just focused on Portsmouth,” the 23-year-old Frenchman said as he prepared for Saturday’s FA Cup final at Portsmouth’s Hampshire training ground. “I left Arsenal because I wanted to play every week. When you are in the team, and even if you play well, the manager doesn’t put you on the pitch [for the next game] you have to do something. Every time he put me on the pitch I tried to do my best. For him, I don’t know if it was good enough, but for me…” As we’ve pointed out in the past, Diarra certainly isn’t short of self-confidence and his performances in a Pompey shirt have been of a very high standard. Indeed, the Premier League outfit will be glad he’s in the team to face Cardiff, especially as a lack of firepower without the cup-tied Defoe means they might have to rely on winning by a solitary goal as they did in the semi-final against West Brom. Did Arsene Wenger make a mistake in allowing Diarra to leave for the South Coast or was it a case of having his hands tied in so far as he couldn’t offer the player first-team football and the Frenchman wouldn’t hang around to try and hold down a place in the starting XI? |
What does Diarra mean by not felling good enough @ the Emirates? |

Transcorp Halts New Investment in NITEL/M-Tel Transnational Corporation has halted any further investment in the Nigerian Tele-communications Limited and the Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Limited for thirty days. According to information received yesterday night, the decision stemmed from a huge gap found in the first national carrier’s billing system and its process of collecting bills from corporate and individual subscribers. Sources close to the company disclosed that an interim report by the accountants found that following the gaps in the billing system, billions of naira owed to the telecommunication had not been collected. Some accountants and consultants working under the Group Treasurer had about two weeks ago started l ooking through the company’s accounting process as a result of claims by NITEL customers that they suffered huge losses during a recent strike by NITEL workers. Transcorp Vice-President, Mr. Adedayo Ojo, confirmed that the corporation had suspended further investment in the telecom company where it has 51 per cent equity for a period of 30 days. According to him, “The management of Transcorp has suspended further investment in NITEL for a period of 30 days. The 30-day period is to enable the company to close the gaps found in its billing system.” The decision taken by the company is going to affect mainly the salary of the workers of the telecommunications company which has been contentious for some weeks now. Transcorp had been engaged in borrowing money to pay NITEL workers’ salaries as a result of the inability of the company to generate enough money to fund its operations, even salaries. The failure of Transcorp to meet salary payment agreement in April had resulted in strike action which led to the shutting of the undersea cable popularly known as SAT-3 that links Nigeria with the rest of the world. Workers of the telecommunications company had blamed the inability of the company to meet its financial obligations to the failure of Transcorp to pump in money to revitalise the telecom firms it took over in November 2006. http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=111647 |

[I asked you to name them abi? This na propa woman mata ![]() |
Now you know where D'banj got the inspiration for that song "why me",of course he heard it from the husband above |
An escaped convict broke into a house and tied up a young couple who had been sleeping in the bedroom. As soon as he had a chance, the husband turned to his voluptuous young wife, bound up on the bed in a skimpy nightgown, and whispered, "Honey, this guy hasn't seen a woman in years. Just cooperate with anything he wants. If he wants to have sex with you, just go along with it and pretend you like it. Our lives depend on it." "Dear," the wife hissed, spitting out her gag, "I'm so relieved you feel that way, because he just told me he thinks you are really cute!" |
Hi Jacqie Welcome on board, please take the aisle seat 4D specially reserved for you. Sit back and enjoy the flight ![]() |
Hleb should be tied down and made to play for the reserve team.Who does he think he is?I'm tired of his cat and mouse antics.Creative midfielder my foot, how many goals did he score last season, how many shots @ goal did he take? See why I keep making a case for strength in depth? |
randa:Enough with all the press conferences AW,can you start doing some buying already ![]() . [he also said no players willbe leaving]Bad call,so we're still going to be stuck with all the excess luggage that have been surplus to requirement for quite some time now.I mean players like Eboue,Senderos,Gilberto etc ?? |
"Life is a great big canvas;throw all the paint you can on it" |
Bonjour monsieur Gagnant,ca va? Your username sounds French, welcome aboard anyways |
@ Debosky I never said we needed 5 more players, not that it'd be a bad idea to offload eboue, senderos & co then get quality better replacements. But realistically, you and I know that it's easier for the Nigeria police to stop taking bribes @ check points than for AW to sign that much number of players in a single season. I only said 3 (THREE) Don't kid yourself Debsky, don't you think we would have fared better if Ade had a strike partner to complement his efforts (with the season-long injury of RVP and Dudu of late),or if we had bolstered our defence before the ACN (gosh, the backline couln't even defend any of our leads WHEN IT MATTERED MOST) Bottom line is Arsenal is too big a club for anyone to jubilate that we finished 4 points behind the league winners (NOT AFTER WE HAD STAYED 3 SEASON TROPHYLESS) |
Meanwhile, our neighbours a very busy still Tottenham keen on former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder "Not content with snapping up the exciting Luka Modric for £16.5million, Tottenham are looking to bolster their midfield further by adding the Premier League journeyman Lassana Diarra to their ranks. The midfielder has already been on the books at Chelsea and Arsenal, before joining Portsmouth during the January transfer window. Many have suggested that if the player had stayed at the Emirates, they may have put up more of a title challenge". |
IMO The two players that AW wants to buy are not adequate. We need a minimum addition of a CB,midfielder and striker to have a semblance of strength in depth for next season |
