None of the blind pro-Bakare apostles on this thread has been able to come up with a defence for this blatant contradiction above by their opportunistic pastor turned politician.
The man is not even straightforward.For instance,I understand that under Nigeria's electoral laws,before anybody can be chosen as a running mate to anybody for any poltical office,he MUST be an existing registered card-carrying member of that party;so I need to know at what point exactly Bakare became a member of the CPC,or while he pretended to be waiting to "hear from God",he'd already obtained the card and had given Buhari the green light before the TALL ONE(as Bakare referred to him before they became best friends SMH) announced him as his running mate?

Even if all members of latter rain assembly were to vote for Bakare(which I doubt as I know so many Householders that have never voted for Okotie),it'd still be very insignificant as latter rain I believe latter rain is not on the list of the 10 most populated churches in Nigeria

As a follow up to the above,the Kano votes will be split between GEJ(PDP) and Shekarau(ANPP),Shekarau(not Buhari) is the only candidate that can upset GEJ in Kano.As for Kaduna,just forget it,as Sambo and governor Patrick Yakowa will deliver Kaduna to GEJ.Borno will most likely vote ANPP cos of the strangle hold of Sherrif in the state.That leaves Bauchi,Borno and Jigawa states which have a population figure in excess of 4 million(in the north).Whilst Borno is firmly in the hands of ANPP,Jigawa is a PDP-controlled state,where the political dexterity of governor Sule Lamido will surely swing the votes GEJ's way.
So except you're telling me that Buhari hopes to get votes from Bayelsa and Delta states,I don't see where he hopes to get the votes that could pose any serious challenge to GEJ.
From the benefit of hind sight,this is going to be Buhari's worst outing thus far,I see him coming a distant third,behind Shekarau who has all it takes to come a distant second behind GEJ

That was before,check the demographics and the political incumbents at the states level(especiually in states where Buhari would've hoped to make inroads).Firsrt Kano is reported to be the most populous state in Nigeria,however flawed that report may be,Kano for sure has the highest population in the north with over 9 million people,followed by Kaduna with over 6 million people,assuming 50% of the populations are of voting age,they'd still come up with numbers equalling/exceeding the entire population figure of some other states in the North
