Baby mama: I believe there is a train station right at Dulles airport I know you can go by train from Baltimore to the DC area and points around it Check on that The other option is supershuttle They are cheaper than cabs but you have to be willing to be taken around town since there are other riders. Thanks baby mama. |

arhayjay: We went through Emirates! The flight was smooth, meals, drinks, water n snacks were served at intervals but the flight was a total of 25hrs! 7hr to Dubai and 16hrs to houston. Interesting! I will be flying Qatar and we've got stopover for 8hrs. Did you experience such,if yes, how did you manage it and what kind of wears suit the long hour flights? Thank you. |

arhayjay: My NL family! This is Arhayjay reporting live from Houston Texas! We thank God for journey mercies. One thing nobody has reported is how long u av to wait at the POE immigration office to av ur brown envelop verified and ur passport stamped, we were there for close to 2 hrs cos there were a lot of other people with the envelop too. Also the officer told us that, irrespective of receiving the physical GC, we can use the stamp of our passport confirms that we've been accepted into the country and we r now LPRs, we can use apply for driving license and all immediately and even travel outside the US. God bless Nigeria! God bless America! Thank God for journey mercies, how was the air-borne experience, cause I intend leaving nextweek. |

okeymen: I paid my USCIS fees last night using my Fidelity bank VISA card. Any visa or master card issued by any nigerian bank will do. However if u have a visa card, u may need to set it up for internet use first. If on the other hand, u already use it to pay for airline tickets or to buy things from Jumia, Konga or any online shop, then ur card is already set up.
The most important thing is to get ur account name correct exactly as your bank has it in their system. No abbreviations, no short forms no ommitted or added middle names; it must match exactly. Secondly, u must use the same address that was used to open the account. Don't use office address when it was house address that was used to open the account and vice versa.
Once you follow what I have written, you will be able to pay straight from your naira account and the money will be changed at CBN rate with zero charge. In my case I paid $660 for 4 people and N105,600 was taken from my account which means the exchange rate was N160 to the dollar. Embassy rate was N165 and black market is over N170.
Now all I need is travel date and a plane ticket Congrats bro:wishing you a safe trip ahead. |

olutola1: I'm sorry for delay, had to make up for my absence at work. Here it goes...
Woke up in a rush and sped to the bathroom. Apparently, the alarm has been ringing in my dreams. Just then, I woke up and realised I've been dreaming. I panicked and checked the time, it was past 2am.
I couldn't sleep again so I stayed awake for about an hour until I decided to sleep with an eye open.
Sleep took me away for a while. I got up exactly 4am at the sound of the alarm. Took my birth and dress up under 20min. I said my prayers and by 4:45am, I was out trekking from (LEGICO/Bonny camp), where I lodged, to the embassy. I got there by 5am and met several people waiting expectantly.
Let me skip the preview. I scaled through security and held my visa payment receipt, blue card and number tag with care. I perceived they were answering the elderly and applicants with derivatives. Along the line, it got confusing as people were called irrespective of who or when they arrived. Then, my number showed on widow 15; prayer answered because the CO appeared pleasant all along! Me: Good morning CO: Morning, I'll need to get your fingerprints, 4 fingers of your hand, of your right hand and the 2 thumbs at once. Me: I obliged ... CO: Good, kindly raise your right hand. Me: Raising my right.. CO: Do you swear to tell the truth today and that every information you entered on your form is true? Me: Yes CO: please sign on the yellow marking.. Me: I did.. CO: Could you tell me your date of birth? Me: I did CO: What's your highest level of education? Me: University degree CO: Which course? Me: English CO: What year? -All the while, she was cross-checking everything I said with what she had on her computer. Me: May, 2007 CO: What do you do now? Me: I told her... CO: Where? Me: ....Ibadan CO: When and where did you do your NYSC? Me: I told her... CO: What was your task? Me: English instructor CO: Was it a primary or secondary School? Me: Secondary school. CO: When did you complete your NYSC? Me: I told her... CO: Is it June or July? Me: I'm not sure, - I discovered it was July, I'd mentioned June. CO: Are you.married? Me: No CO: Any child? Me: No She smiled...I guess she was saying in her mind, "you're getting old boy." "Don't worry, I got plans," I told myself. She reached for two papers. She circled a portion and said pointing to the portion still smiling... CO: Please visit this address between 5 and10 working days to pick your visa. You should consider xmas holidays too. Holding the second paper, she continued. Ensure you pay USCIS fees after receiving your visa package. Welcome to the United States of America! Me: Thank you, I wish you a pleasant Christmas!
I picked up the papers and left radiating with joy from the dept of my bone marrows. I'd kept my phones (I rmoved the sims) with some soldiers whom I gave 1k to share out of joy. Had to caution myself not to bounce...lol. It's th Lord's doing and it's so marvelous in my eyes!
I'd like to appreciate every member of this forum. Gurus in the house, don't wanna mention names, much gratitude to attending to all queries. May God reward your good hearts.I also appreciate one who'd contributed one way or the other, especially the novice. Your being down to earth to ask questions gave so many others opportunity and confidence to make it at the interview.
I wish everyone waiting peace and patient heart, everyone with 2nd NL easy medical /police exams and successful interviews, everyone with visa great providence, safest flight to destination and great success in the USA! Much love... Congrats bro!!!...i key into your success |

sheniqua: I think I told you many pages earlier not to do it You will regret it You have one year to go,finish your degree then come over But it's your choice eventually Please i happen to be in the same shoe with this man,i have one year left to complete my engineering degree but my host is telling me to ignore the degree and start over in the US,the instance my host gave was that she also has a Nigerian degree but it wasn't recongnised,so she had to start over.I am adamant to complete my degree before finally migrating. My question now is can i shuffle Nigeria and US for a year without applying for a re-entry permit?? Because a semester in my school is 3.5 months. |
