Sports › Re: Thomas Dennerby Open To Super Falcons Return by Rayjay45: 7:51am On Sep 04 |
lavylilly: I honestly wouldn’t be against Thomas Dennerby returning to the Super Falcons, but let’s not rewrite history either.
Yes, Dennerby delivered the 2018 WAFCON title and took Nigeria to the Round of 16 at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. That was a significant achievement, especially because Nigeria had not reached the World Cup knockout stage since 1999.
But his record wasn’t perfect. His 2019 World Cup campaign ended with Nigeria losing 3–0 to Germany in the Round of 16, and his time with the Falcons eventually ended in October 2019 after he resigned amid disputes surrounding his contract and working conditions.
What makes Dennerby interesting is his wider résumé. He coached Sweden from 2005–2012, took them to the 2011 Women’s World Cup bronze medal, and later coached India's senior women's team.
So, should the NFF bring him back?
I would say yes — but only if the NFF is prepared to give him the support, structure and contractual backing that were missing during his first spell.
His biggest advantage is that he already understands Nigerian women's football. He knows the players, the mentality, the African game and what it takes to win the WAFCON.
But the NFF shouldn't bring him back simply because of nostalgia. They should judge him against the best available candidates and, most importantly, make sure the same administrative problems that contributed to his first departure don't happen again.
Dennerby has already proved he can win with the Super Falcons. The real question is whether the NFF has learned how to properly manage a coach like him. Enough talk..Dennerby is a thousand times better than that mallam coach who led us to the WAFCON. I for like Randy Waldrum but Thomas is alright |

All the countries that run free education either do so at the expense of taxing their citizens half their. income or by massive debt or by running crap schools .
What you are supporting is crap education based on making it artifially free.
Not that Tinubu government is doing any better , but there is nothing like free education. Qatar and UAE Go figure! Their state-funded schools are top quality and taxes there are haram. MrEar: A LION does not concern himself with the opinions of a sheep. If he does that, then he is not A LION.
Despite his horrible vocals, Davido has conquered the music industry in a way no other artist can, whether from a rich home or not.
He has won awards, sold out concert tickets, collaborated with famous artists that talented musicians can only dream of.
He is known globally and internationally. Davido himself, from head to toe, is a brand.
Time magazine included him as one of the most influential persons. At this point, he does not need to prove himself or his success to anyone.
Despite all of his achievements, numerous times, he gets triggered, loses his cool, displays an inferiority complex and feels the need to explain or publicize his success, all because of the "opinions of poor men pikin"
Like most celebrities, dead or alive, Davido is another crystal clear proof that indeed money (including fame) can NEVER buy true happiness.
For you to be happy, you need peace of mind, and whether you believe it or not, ONLY GOD can give you that.
Na so Elon be. All the money in the world and that poor sod spends his day on Twitter promoting his white supremacy nonsense. Basic human empathy e no get. |

AndroBlaze: All these lazy people sef for this generation !!
Those days when I was young, I remember being embarrassed my uncle (more like a senior brother), who could make a 10 min journey take 1 hour, all because he would stop on the road and chat with no fewer than 7 women of all shapes and sizes while collecting ella from at least 5 of them!
I am naturally reserved, but when I grew up later and started doing my own and started getting my own "ella" I always took solace that no matter how many I collected, it would never reach the number of my uncle
By the way, this same Uncle later lived in both the UK and US, has continued the pattern and even as old as he is now, he is still more likely to pull women than anyone I have known in flesh!
Women everywhere in the world appreciate bravery and audacity, get off your app and step up to them and say "hi"....you'll be pleasantly surprised what you will pull. Since Covid, dating don go online for UK o. Nothing to do with courage abeg. |
