sashaa:
Hello Everyone, please what are the key things one needs to note in this student visa journey? I'm in the process of seeking admission. I'm a matured student with a B.sc in computer science and about 8 years work experience (customer service and sales/marketing. 6 of which is banking experience)
Can I use a third party sponsor? I also have my own funds of around 8m. I'm female and single.
Your kind inputs will be greatly appreciated.

@Sashaa

Just to add to the rich contribution that has already been made regarding a strong GTE, I want to add that if your offer is different from your previous studies and/or work experience, but you have done some non-credit courses online or some credible certifications in your intended course, add those documents to your visa application to strengthen your case and demonstrate that you have always had the desire for a career/course change.

Secondly, read your SOP like an examiner and not a student, juxtapose your documents and SOP, then ask yourself: Is there a gap, a contradiction, omission, etc? This would help you create a near perfect GTE (in the absence of a second opinion).

best of luck.

@bellong

I was hoping to use my Nigeria experience to get PR. But also want a backup plan of changing to Social Work in the interim to any of the States sponsoring Public Relations Professionals.

So that in either case I would still be on track.

Thanks for taking out time to explain all these...

@tunlex i appreciate your guidance, thank you.

Please, does that mean I have to send only my M.Sc Cert/Transcript to Vetassess? By the time they deduct everything only God knows where I will land.

Oh, you can't use your BSc then cos NAU is a tier 2 University.
You should use your MSc, however Vetassess will only approve experience from 2012 and still deduct at least 1 year from the approved experience.
Good luck
@bellong

I'm studying Public Health, planning to change to Social Work next semester.

What are you studying? WA also sponsors people who study in the state. Depending on what you are currently studying, there may not be any point running to another state when you can get what you seek where you are.

I am in Perth too.
@tunlex01, @ajayidebo do you mind if I send my Job Description to you, so that you tell me if it align with Public Relations Professionals?
or suggest anyone else that could assist... Thanks.

Please, bros bellong I'm in Perth.
I need all the guidance to get things right and help me decide on the Uni and State to transfer to next Semester.
I was thinking of ACT but it seem as though duration of residing there before being nominated would delay the process for me. It's a bit confusing for me.

I will post my Job Description shortly.

Institutions attended
B.Sc (Pol Science)- Nnamdi Azikiwe Uni- 2008
M.Sc (Pol Science) UNN - 2012

Thanks.

You didn't state the university you got your BSc from, it will help review your case better.
1. If you have your documents and Job description we'll aligned, you will be fine.

Thank you so much. I have checked and I think the best fit is Public Relations Professional as mentioned.

I'm currently in Aussie on Student Visa (Western Australia), although I plan to move to a uni in regional area next semester.

I will follow through with the points you highlighted.

Please, if anyone has done ssessment using Public Relations Professional kindly give me some success tips. Thanks in anticipation.

quote author=ajayidebo post=82827559]My two cents is for you to search for your occupation using ( https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/ )

What should be best fit for you is; 225311: Public Relations Professional

You need to go through the job description as well as the educational qualification requirements. Once you've determined that the job description fits, further information on how to proceed is on the first page of this thread.

P.S. From my little findings, Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales are actively selecting applications.

Seniors in the house, I pay homage and salute everyone.

Please, I have few questions and would greatly appreciate any clarification on them.

I have:
B.Sc Political Science (2008)
M.Sc Political Science (2012) and have worked as a
Public Relations Officer from 2009-2019)
My Questions
1. Has anyone here gotten a positive assessment from VETASSESS using Public Relations Officer?
2. Do I have any chance with my qualifications and employment?
Please someone should assist me with best way forward.

Thank you all.

Australia, Canada, France, and some other countries have an information sharing agreement. Main reasons: to check against terrorism, and other security related issues.

Still learning and hope someone would assist me as well as I soldier on.

Vincentosa:
How did they know you were denied US visa before? Do they communicate with US Embassy? Please I want to know. Thanks

I am relatively new here but I personally applied and thankfully got a grant with no travel experience and 1 US visa denial.

Back to your question.
First, write a simple Letter of Explanation, acknowledging the omission and sincerely apologise for it.

Secondly, in the letter, explain to the VO that if you had an intention to hide your US visa denial you would have equally do same for that of UK. it was regrettably an omission committed in...
And, remember to briefly explain, stylishly and logically why you were denied (US visa) to your advantage if you can.

Lastly, don't forget to attach the US visa denial letter(if you still have it).

Note:
GTE and visa application is about thorough research, asking questions esp b4 applying hoping that someone would be kid enough (if they can and have the time) to respond.
No giving up in this journey. I hope u get a grant...
Give it your next best shot, to withdraw the application won't make much difference your travel moves

*This is my opinion not an immigration advice.
